Thinking about how meaningful it would be after years and years of knowing Moon, then one point after the proverbial dust has settled and the dark lord is no longer a threat: You snapping out of a comfortable daze and realize that you had been combing Moons hair (maybe you all traveled through thick brush and your combed brambles and twigs and leaves out of your own hair, then suns hair, and then somehow ended up combing them out of moons hair)

Moon "Y/n?"

Y/n "Oh, huh?"

Moon "You don't have to tug so hard."

Y/n "I'm not, drama queen."

Moon "Oh, how you insult me~"

Yeah, so the natural resources they use to make their painkillers are... kinda strong and they don't quite control the amounts so sometimes they work a little too well.

Is not that they don't like taking meds because they taste bad (they still taste bad) but because they get really vulnerable and clumsy after taking them, need someone to look out for them, and they don't remember anything while they are under the effects of the medicine.

Idk if I'm going to paint the second part, this took me longer than I thought.

Also, I'm making minor updates to their designs: Sun's hair is puffier(?) and has less loops, Moon's thicker so the braid is also bigger (and longer), and they both have ear piercings now but I'm still deciding the shapes so these piercings are kind of placeholders.

They have less layers of clothes here because they are at home so they dress more confy. Sun also took off Moons top part and necklace after giving him the medicine, he's gonna try to put him to bed.

ALRIGHT, I'm not going to delay it any longer. Here are the references for the elves (featuring selfinsert) that I've been working on since october (It took me like a month but I've been changing and adjusting things). Some parts still look a lil' weird to me, I messed up some proportions but I guess it still works, though the clothes and shapes could vary in the future.

About the elves: Sun and Moon are the elves guardians of a hiden forest where people who get lost end up. So few people has returned from their forest to date.

While Sun will be friendly and play games with you to cheer you up, Moon will chase you down until you go out of breath and drag you to the depths of the forest to not be seen again.

About the human(selfinsert): She went on family vacations for the summer to the village, gets lost in the forest and finds the entrance to the other forest, "somehow" make friends with the elves.

Her name is Fern btw, it totally has nothing to do with my username.

This is not how they met, I just thought it was funny enough to draw.

Oh yeah and here is a more detailed drawing of my selfinsert that I don't know how it's going to come out. This is the first time I make a fanfic AND selfinsert so I'm kinda nervous about it.
