Explanation under the cut

First for those who don't know.. The moon will sing (by the crane wives) in most interpretation is a song about someone in a relationship (platonic or romantic) where one is basically a nobody, they don't really have a life and no one is really friends with them. When they find this other person they're no longer nobody, they have people but they know if they grow apart they will have no one again.

This can also be representative by the sun and moon which is what the crane wives use to explain this kind of relationship. The sun we need it can shine bright on its own the moon needs the sun to light up the night but if the moon loses the sun, the moon is nothing.

Now that kind of relationship is Lovebitten. Louis is the sun and Owen is the moon. Owen is an outcast, a nobody because of his disease, when he finds Louis and they grow closer the town doesn't seem to mind him as much as they did before. Louis has the control of the town as mayor, and Owen while with Louis fits in a little bit more with the people of Oakhurst.

When Owen loses Louis he is no one again. He is the moon without its sun, he is unable to shine during the night because the sun/Louis isn't there to give him that light.

THE CORUS IS SUCH A GOOD EXAMPLE!

"The moon will sing a song for me, I loved you like the sun" Owen loving Louis so much because of what they have him, what he changed his life to be in the best way. How Louis gave him a gift so they could spend an eternity together. Louis is the light in Owens life that radiates onto him and gives him a bit of light too.

"Bore the shadows that you made with no light of my own" basically saying how Owen was no one before Louis, an outcast. Owen had no light and he bore the shadows made for him from being an outcast.

"I shine only with the light you gave me" LOUIS IS THE LIGHT IN OWENS LIFE. LOUIS WAS THE PERSON TO MAKE OWEN HAPPY, TO GIVE HIM LIGHT. WITHOUT LOUIS HE CANNOT BE THAT HAPPY SELF AGAIN.

i don't want to like rejoice or express gratitude too soon. but lately, it feels like jype has finally started listening to the fanbase.

like, seungmin was given a health hiatus. minho got his own series. and han's single was uploaded on streaming platforms and now he's an ambassador for a brand. we've made some progress and i hope that it continues like this moving forward. even those are the bare minimum, it wasn't provided before. so yes.
