i have this headcanon that galen marek is has asd and ptsd, what do you think of it? oh and sorry if i triggered someone with the eating disorder hc ,i know that it is high in child abuse cases and there is some stuff in the 1st book that points to it.

I’d 100% agree on the PTSD part. Between all that he’s been through and THEN being REBORN GOD KNOW HOW MANY TIMES, many of them being where he loses his mind, I’d be surprised if he didn’t have some form of it.

And I would say he might be on a low functioning part of it. I myself am on the spectrum, and I do see some things that point towards it. Fiddling with his lightsaber (and the crystal in the novel), not knowing what exactly to say and looking to people to figure out what to say, not exactly sure how to process some things. I can see how he may be on a part of it.

And I understand how the disorder may make people uncomfortable. And yeah, there’s a pretty heavy reference to Vader starving Galen horrifically, at one point enough that Proxy had to carry him back to his bed. It’s a very heavy subject to weigh on, and I have no doubt that it may have been present during Galen’s time with Vader. It took a long time to recover, but with the help of others, he was able to do so.

OK so i was just thinking that some rebels might put sand in a big circle around the bases to keep vader out or keep some on them in those little sand bottles you get fairs and stuff to throw at him.

I got the giggles about this because it makes Vader seem like a vampire that the rebels are trying to ward off with garlic or something. The mental image of those rebels in the hallway getting hunted down by Vader in Rogue One escaping by hurling tiny vials of sand at him while he hisses and recoils like he’s been doused with acid is pretty great. 

Hera Syndulla, meanwhile, is sprinkling just a smidge of sand outside her bedroom door each night. Kanan, meanwhile, is yelling from inside the room “what are you doing, you’re not putting sand outside the door again are you? It’ll take forever to get that stuff out of the ship you know!” Whatever, Hera thinks. She’s got a Jedi in her bedroom after all; if that semi-robotic Sith Lord really hates sand that much, she might as well use that fact to her advantage.

galen marek is vader's ward/secret apprentice or was till the mad king ordered his death and that of marek's betrothed juno eclipse vader let them live to bring down the rebellion from the inside they ended turning on vader and falling in love. vader killed galen's family the small noble house of marek in north and took him in to train as a assassin for the crown.

The North hasn’t rested since the death of Lord Qui-Gon.

Through the two small slits of his black helm, Ser Vader looks out upon the white fields of the North and sees nothing, sees a barren wasteland, cold and unforgiving. (It had been warm, once, a long time ago, when he’d summered with the long-gone Lord of Winterfell and begun his training.)

(He does not think about a young boy in summer, nor the old man he has become in winter.)

He pivots, his boots disturbing the gathering snow, and he shakes it off distastefully. Snow has gotten everywhere—has infiltrated the rubble of House Marek. He gazes upon it now, as the wind blows drifts up against collapsed walls.

His work here is done.

Let this be a lesson to other Northmen who protest the Emperor’s rule.

He walks across the grounds, feet crunching in the snow, carefully navigating the bodies strewn throughout the courtyards.

There is only one survivor.

The boy looks up at him, still gripping a sword two large for his small hands. For such a clumsy sword, for such a young age, he’d wielded it well, but he was barely a nuisance for the best swordsman in the kingdom.

And when that summer ends, snows will bury this rubble he stands in now.

“Come with me,” Ser Vader says, and he continues down the hill, towards his horse.

The boy blinks at his back, eyes wide with confused fear.

The sun sets along the horizon.

His parents are dead. His people are dead. The boy has no choice; the night is dark and full of terrors.

more on the tatooine names what would the names starkiller, galen, juno and kota, ahsoka if any mean in Amatakka , and what is the word for jedi in Amatakka.

Well none of those are Tatooine names, so.

Ahsoka is, of course, a Togruta name, given to her by her parents before she was taken to be a Jedi. I’m sure it has meaning in the Togruta language, but I’ll be honest, I haven’t done much in the way of Togruta worldbuilding. (Yet? We’ll see.)

The other names are from the Expanded Universe, which I don’t consider canon. Nothing against it if you like it - I just don’t particularly care about the EU and have no headcanons related to it.

Of course, Disney recycled the name Galen in Rogue One, and they used Starkiller in that movie I don’t talk about, but given the context of the other names you listed I suspect you were asking about the EU characters.

Juno is the name of a Roman goddess, the equivalent of the Greek Hera (another name that secondary Star Wars material used - idk why they seem so into this goddess in particular). Galen is a Greek name, most famously the name of an ancient Greek physician. I have no idea about Kota.

Starkiller as a name initially looks like something that would fit into the Tatooine naming pattern (and, of course, it was Luke’s last name in early drafts of ANH), but ultimately I don’t think it actually fits. It’s a shockingly violent and destructive name, and if it were applied to anything in Amavikka culture, it would be more likely as an epithet for Depur, who maims and destroys, than for Ar-Amu or any positive figure.

The Amatakka word for Jedi is just Jedi, though it’s pronounced more like “Jee-dai”. Attitudes toward the Jedi vary pretty wildly. No Jedi ever actually come to Tatooine, so most people see them more as figures of legend than any kind of political reality. And even as legends people are pretty divided on them. The Jedi are seen as defenders of the Core Worlds, and that can play out as a simple heroic story, or be touched with resentment because, no matter how heroic the legends, the Jedi will never appear in the Outer Rim.

I hope starkiller a.k.a galen marek comes back in to canon as good guy and is not heated by tumblr.

I have no idea what prompted this (just because I’ve never posted about the force unleashed) but I absolutely 100% agree that he needs to return.
