Just found out that Encanto had their anniversary yesterday and I scrambled to post this! XD I didn't have anything else planned as this was just suppose to be a doodle break from my bigger projects... Obviously I have NO self-control. 😑 Next thing I know, I've made a new OC, decided she's from Encanto, designed her a door (with variants even), and wrote THREE songs. (None of which I'm satisfied with btw, but I shared one here if you're interested.) ✌️😅 Take it easy on me tho. Yolanda's just made for fun so nothing too serious here! In my head, she's not a Madrigal, rather an outsider who also got her miracle through tragedy. (So it's more like a curse really.) As who's to say that outside of Encanto, in this gigantic world of theirs, that there hadn't been others who found themselves in similar situations, but received different blessings. The ability to Multiply was given to my character as a result of her wish to help more and fear of being alone (rather than get a whole as$ magical sanctuary like Abuela had wished for her triplets and their community to grow up safe in). Basically, Yolan can make copies of herself, yet only the original has this ability. But while it may seem very helpful at first glance, having her "Additions (they/them)" had a lot of downsides to it too as she came to learn. Sharing their memories and feelings can get confusing when they merge back for example. (Yay! Identity crisis!) Anyways, this character isn't really me, so you're free to give head-canons about her and I'll do my best to respond in the comments if I like your ideas! CYA! 🌼
