The government needs to stop underestimating kids. Do they seriously think that fecking laws and Ai is gonna get between a bunch of teens and their hormones - like, I know someone UNDER 13, who can already program in Roblox and is learning at a rapid pace, the government did not account for "the grind" either, nor for like the 12 year olds who are gonna hear about Chat Control, remember "the dark web" from a recently-watched top 10 list, and are gonna feel the need to go there. Lying about one's age is dangerous, but that's actually the MINIMUM that folks would do, to get access online - like, you know what I mean? Like either you've isolated a minor to parents that MIIIIIGHT be good, OR you've just given a new challenge to minors who are installing browser extensions on their computer all the time anyway. Also, how the fuck are minors who are given a Chromebook by the school or something, even gonna fecking use them then? How are they even gonna like, go to the school website and check today's schedule, or make a presentation on the computer, or do actual homework or research? Are you just suddenly gonna demand every single school goes back to trying to find the right physical material for it all while not being able to afford new markers, and maybe not even supporting the kids properly in the first place?
