1. Origins of my blog name

Well this all started because my long suffering friends and family can only listen to me talk about books they've never read for so long before they get a migraine. And I cannot stop talking so endless-natterings seemed appropriate

2. My “I’ll always order this food.”

Ooooh!!! There's this stewed chicken with bamboo and wood-ear mushrooms that I love so if it's on the menu I'll get it. Also profiteroles, they're so good

3. Overused emoji

The angry face emoji, a lot of my friends are long-distance and I need to express proper outrage when bad things happen in their lives

4. Current comfort show, movie, & book

Show: Call the Midwife (just started season 3)

Movie: Much Ado about Nothing (1993)

Book: The Name of the Wind (it's been my comfort book since I first read it)

5. Song on repeat this week

It Will Come Back- Hozier, I love it so much

6. My last hyperfixation

Eastern Orcs and the Avari during the First Age, my brother is sick of hearing me talk about it, but I really need to hammer out the details

7. An oddly specific thing that brings me joy

Finding instruction manuals for appliances or machines I don't own and deciphering them for friends. It's like a treasure hunt and the reward is my loved one's relief!!

8. What smell instantly makes me happy

Freshly brewed stove-top coffee, reminds me of visiting my grandmother every afternoon after school

9. Something I loved as a kid but secretly love now

Debating (or arguing in the form of debate), I'm a much chiller person now than I was a child and I'm better off for it, but sometimes I miss the teeth and claws debates of my primary school days

10. Phone wallpaper rn

11. Are you a morning person, night, or something else?

I am a spring and summer morning person, and a fall and winter night person. I don't know why, but I apparently rotate through the seasons

12. If you work, what is your profession and do you like it?

I'm not able to work right now, but I used to work in childcare and I was at one point heading into academia, both of which I did enjoy
