Elements of Machine Design by Virgil Moring Faires is definitely one of the most used books I had while studying mechanical engineering. It gave me a great share of headaches, and sleepless nights, although I admit to enjoy it!
Machine Design is also one of the major subjects of Mechanical Engineering. Even when I am not in uni anymore, its lessons and theories are still very important in life that is why I take it upon myself to review every now and then.
last week i had my last finals (im graduating), mock boards, and the start of review classes (for board exams)!!! it was crazy but im glad its over. i passed the mock boards too, so now im just focusing on my review classes while waiting for my grades to be uploaded. today, i had my first weekly exam for the review classes, and i didnt do well. i studied for a different topic than what was in the exam, so now i feel unmotivated and overwhelmed.
this is my desk tonight, as i try to answer as much problems as i can.
I PASSED THE BOARD EXAM!!!!!
Hello!! I just want to share that I am now a Registered Mechanical Engineer in my country!!! In my last post (which was last May), I said that I am preparing for the licensure examinations for August 2019. I did and I PASSED!
All of my hard work for the last 5 years of engineering school and another 3 months of review school has paid off.
To anyone feeling down/stressed/hopeless bc of something right now, take it from me, YOU WILL ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL. Continue in doing your best, and believe that you will achieve it.

i went to a secondhand bookstore and got myself these books. I've been into thriller/mystery genre books lately.. Also i've been selling my old books for extra uni fund 😋

Instict (formerly known as Murder Games) by James Patterson and Howard Roughan is my first book for 2019! i just finished last night John Grisham's The Brethren, but technically its still part of 2018.
2019 will be one crazy year, since i will be graduating this year and also im supposed to take my board exams as well. To be honest, im very anxious about juggling my thesis, academics, and preparing for board exams. My parents and bestfriend suggest I take the exam next year, since there's a lot on my plate right now. Im still deciding tho. Im not really sure what to do 😪
April 22, 2018 here’s a throwback pic from last Friday! I went to the library with my thesis groupmates to finish up some work. After about three weeks of doing almost nothing in uni, the hell week is now upon us. I’ve been trying to slowly get me back on my sched and start working again. I have to say that this semester isn’t going where I want it to be since I am not getting the grades I want with my Machine Design class. However, I am still motivated to study even harder for the following exams!!!! Hoping for a productive and happy day for everyone!
March 2, 2018 It was a productive day for me! I studied refrigeration systems at home during the morning before going to uni, then studied again at the lib before going to a seminar. The seminar was about safety management in oil and gas and it was really interesting. The only downside of today was when my macbook pro suddenly died after i plugged in my phone charger. It won’t open afterwards anymore. I guess i’ll have to take it to the Apple store tomorrow and hopefully recover my files.
