It's sad to see how far the manga diverted from the course that would've made more sense. i still really believe in Erehisu pairing due to the nature behind it, even if i understand why Eren may love Mikasa, but the fact that he doesn't even attempt to show it despite knowing that she loves him romantically is why i cant support it.

AOT would have been a better story if Eren was the father, even if there was no love between them, atleast she would have known somebody who accepted who she was when she became Historia once more, rather than some NPC who took time out of his day to harass her when they were children.

Mythology

When I think of mythical characters, I find Eren and Historia always remind me of Loki and Sigyn. Sigyn is usually depicted with long blonde hair. Loki mostly with black or dark brown hair. Loki later becomes an Angetonist and goes into battle against the gods. The earth is also affected. Eren suddenly became the bad guy, because he flattened the globe and ended up fighting against his former allies. Historia was privy to his plans and also supported him in that, in a way she allowed herself to be impregnated by a random man. Just like Sigyn took on the suffering of catching the snake's dripping poison. And if the child, which is supposedly from the farmer, was Eren's... Loki and Sigyn had two children together. The parallels are clear.

Why "The Rumbling" is actually a message for Historia

Okay, let me begin by saying that I don't ship EreHisu. But as I was checking on clips to make new AMVs again, I noticed something with the lyrics of this particular OP and all the relevant scenes from the anime suddenly came to mind. Hence, this post.

Not sure if anyone else, especially an EH shipper, already made such an analysis but here it is anyway.

Eren concealed his plans from the others except for Floch and Historia. But more importantly, the lyrics would match the expressions and conversation here. Eren doesn't seem like he used to be in Historia's eyes, and she is questioning him.
