“How is the potions essay going?” Evan asked, pushing the hair that had fallen in front of Regulus’ face behind his ear. His face pinked a bit at the unexpected touch.

“Er, yeah it’s almost done. Only need a closing paragraph,” He mumbled.

“Here borrow mine,” Barty said, placing one hand on Regulus’ shoulder as he rummaged through his stack of homework. He found it quickly and slid the parchment in front of Regulus, grinning up at him from under dark lashes. Regulus swallowed thickly, his heart flopping around in his chest.
