In the False Heroes AU, how would Marinette react to finding the other Senti-Children? She did say that was one of her main Goals at one point.
I'm mainly talking about Adrien and Chloe (cause I assume it would be Chloe not Zoe), since they are the most interesting ones to me.
Chloe is more of a "Mean Big Sister" to the Class, and since they were both technically born of Imperator using the Peacock, would they consider eachother sisters? How would Chloe react to finding out that Imperator, the Hero she idolizes above all others, is technically her 3rd Parent?
And Adrien. In Marinette's point of view, Harlequin and Felis killed her Dad by tricking him into giving them a child which would inevitably kill him. How would Marrinette react to finding out that Adrien is that child?
Obviously she wouldn't hold it against him, they are way too close for that at this point, but it still must be a huge shock right?
Honestly, amazing questions all around!
Fair on being most curious on Adrien and Chloe, I haven't really covered the others beyond the initial post after all. While Felix is someone who just honestly doesn't have a ton of reasons to be involved in this AU(so far) Kagami is actually super interesting to me in this, and her big character post IS coming at some point. So hopefully I snag your interest there, too!
As for whether Zoe or Chloe is the sentimonster..... I'm honestly not sure yet? We haven't gotten to the Zoe post yet, but I'm putting in some effort to make both of the twins vaguely...pathological? Like, not directly crazy or anything, but the twins are both weirdly off in some way. Mainly like, in how intensely they focus on and care about things, but I try to weave in some stuff where it's hard to tell whose a sentimonster acting a little off because they're not quite human, and whose a human whose acting off because their closest companion since childhood was a sentimonster.
As for how Marinette reacts, we'll start with Chloe first. Chloe(or Zoe, still not sure, but we'll say Chloe for now cause it's easy) is kinda special because not only is she a sentimonster, she's the only sentimonster that Tom Dupain-Cheng made with full knowledge he was dying. Chloe was a final gift from a dying man to an old friend, his family, and the world. So right away there is a lot less guilt for her existence just, inherently. At least once she learns the full story from Andre. This does equate to less rough feelings for Mari too.
Cause remember, Andre actually knows who Tom was after he made him a daughter. He was expressly asked to look out for Tom's family in secret by this guy who had basically saved his family in more ways than Andre can actually count over the years. Tom didn't just look out for them though, he made sure his daughters did, as well. He couldn't very well tell them why they needed to keep an eye out for Marinette, but he did his best to make sure they did.
Like when Chloe came home from elementary school(or the French equivalent, I'm not looking that up right now) talking about this "weird baker girl" in her class, you better believe Andre sat her down for a talk to reminder that her favorite hero Imperator always said to respect and Christ the differences we had with people. Or to point out that it's often that we're frustrated with people because there's something they have that we wish we did, but can't express it, etc. stuff like that.
So Chloe has a VERY unique relationship with Marinette. She's kinda been ride or die with her ever since they met, and has gone out of her way to help her. Often in a really over bearing and sometimes more harmful than helpful way, but she very much appointed herself as Mari's protector early on. This legit made it hard to make other friends for awhile, but she never really hated Chloe for that once she realized "oh she just cares too much".
So all of that plays a pretty heavy role in the reveal. Marinette would be shocked that she didn't notice another Senti this close to her the whole time, but she'd be ecstatic to find out a very good friend is one. She and Chloe would definitely immediately be like "sisters", with Zoe very much just instantly declaring her a Triplet with them, because they were basically all "born" in the same year. That being said, Chloe/Zoe are the only ones she has a sibling relationship with. Kagami is like a good friend she watches out for and worries about, Felix is like, at most a distant relative she's only technically related too, and Adrien is.... Everything Adrien is to her. Best friend, partner, confidant, advisor, her Proxy, and the guy she loves. Not a brother though. Just gonna knock this out that none of them are related in anyway, and Chloe considering her a sister is more to do with their relationship prior to the reveal than anything else.
Chloe herself is probably through the moon to learn that the guy whose superhero career she was raised on is literally her second Dad, more or less. Like, she was literally created from his emotions. A part of him really did help define who she is. Learning that she was literally made from the desire to protect from the man she personally considers the greatest hero ever born is a heady thing, and a powerful thing to live up to, as well.
She's also devastated though, because she finds out the coolest dude ever is her extra parent, but also learns that other heroes she at least respected and idolized to a lesser extent than him killed him. Chloe would not see any nuance, any wiggle room, nothing. Lady Harlequin and Lord Felis killed her second Papa. She would swear a freaking blood oath to her senti-sister on the spot to eliminate them with extreme prejudice. Chloe probably has to get talked down from just trying to kill them in their sleep, honestly.
Learning their Adrien's parents would honestly make her want them dead even more, if anything. She would grumble about Adrien actually having one good parent, and his other two freaking murdered him.
She'd be hard core on monarchs side from the moment that news dropped. She would also immediately latch onto Sabine as like, a second mom, using the logic that the spouse of one of your parents who isn't related to you/your parent is a step parent, right? So obviously, since Sabine is Tom's wife, and Tom is extra dad, Sabine is her step mom. Sabine honestly adapts well to having a new self appointed, clingy and over protective daughter. She teaches Chloe how to bake. And Zoe.
Now the Adrien reveal is rough on everybody. Because in my head they learn he's a senti before learning who lady Harlequin and Lord Felis are. They suspect his parents, sure, but they have 4 sentichildren besides Marinette out there and no idea who belongs to a completely unaware and blameless friend of the heroes, and who is their actual kid.
So the Agreste's could be their enemy, or they could be people manipulated into accidentally killing the cities protector with no knowledge of what they'd done. And Dusuu can't remember who any of them are, but she remembers that Tom made one for friends who lost their child after he learned he was dying, just doesn't remember that said child was a twin, because Dusuu was going nuts at the time because the miraculous was broken.
So Adrien could be worried over nothing, but something deep inside him whispers that he isn't.
Marinette takes it in stride. Just goes "oh, that's why we're so compatible" and starts to help him through the process of both feeling human again, and learning to accept that he isn't fully and that's ok. She also tells him she has his Amok, but legitimately does not know which of the trinkets is his, so he's welcome to look and see if one sticks out, but she's not gonna try a command or something until she finds the right one. Adrien just tells her he trusts her with his life already, so she should keep hold of it.
Honestly the real angst doesn't start until they learn the full truth about his parents, and by that point he's had months to adjust to being a Sentibeing. That crash out is something I'm writing now, but it's taking time to get right.
Adrien kinda accepts being a senti fairly easily. He's always felt not quite human, and it's honestly a relief to learn that he isn't, and that's ok. It actually makes it easier to feel like he belongs with the others, because at least he now knows that he actually has a people, and a reason for feeling so odd.
I won't spoil the full reaction Mari has to learning Adrien is technically the kid that doomed her dad, but I will say it is much more of a "oh shit, this is going to devastate my poor boy" than anything else. She's had awhile to come to terms with this stuff in her head, and while it's still a shock and still rough on her, she has been prepping for a lot of potential possibilities for awhile. So Mari is shocked, but not completely blind sided.
Sorry I can't answer that part more fully, hopefully the full blurb post about that reveal will satisfy you when it comes out! I hope I've answered these well enough and not like, added to your confusion or anything.
Thank you so much for the ask! Really makes me happy!
