Importing some of The Bestiary Features into my game
So, before we begin do check out my first ever part of this Organism Tending Game, but if you're too lazy to view it, well let me summarize on what it was, I wanted a game that allows you to take care of your organisms and play god, well in this post today I will talking about importing features of another soon to be made game known as "The Bestiary" btw feel free to support it's creator, as they deserve this support.
A PVP Mode, so, I have just read the most recent post by them and one of the modification is that now player avatars and non-creature NPCs are able to attack now. So why not add in a PVP mode to my game, and also now there'll non-creature NPCs that you can also attack.
So, now since you're able to fight against other players and also NPCs now you are also capable of dying, and just like in The Bestiary you would lose all of your creatures, but unlike that game you can revive creatures if you do die, though in order to make this less spam worthy I will make it so that you have a limit on revives.
NPCs yep, it has to happen somehow of which these NPCs would be alien races because making them humans makes no sense, and you cannot terraform an NPCs planet but you can attack an NPC just like in Spore.
Trivia Quests, so I have decided to add in Trivia Quests and like in The Bestiary they're only there just to grind for money (DNA) and also depending on how quickly you have answered these you can have around 50-1000 DNA (the currency of this game) which is very useful when evolving a creature to the next species.
Quests, now there'll be quests in the game and in some of those quests you can earn special body parts of which you cannot get through buying them.
Tower Defense Mode, so with Quests and PVP Mode coming why not do a Tower Defense Mode also, so now you can protect a tower (monolith) from being destroyed by creatures made by other player or NPCS by using your creatures to fight the other creatures and unlike The Bestiary it would be slightly more built like Plants vs Zombies where certain parts can give them abilities, like wings can grant them a higher point of attack, while the plants will make the energy to spawn more creatures in for the defense. But you do have a life system like with any other tower defense game and when it reaches 0 you lose
