BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star to open new “culture complex”

BC Entertainment, Dimensions Entertainment, and Gold Star Media have made their business partnership official on several occasions in recent years, including the introduction of their Triple Fantasy concerts featuring the rosters of all three companies and, most recently, the opening of base, a multi-media platform created to encourage collaboration and cross-company innovation. The trio have now been reported to be making a physical representation of their partnership.

A building under construction in Gangnam was recently reported to be another joint project between the three companies. The building will allegedly be turned into a “culture complex” utilized by all three companies, according the reports from insiders from the three companies. The building will include exclusive merchandise, a museum that will house the history of Hallyu as shaped by the three companies, including exclusive behind the scenes videos, real stage outfits on display, and never before seen photos. The complex is also stated to include multiple theaters for performances, a gift ship, a cafe, and even an unspecified implementation of virtual reality to help fans feel closer to their idols. According to sources, the project has been kept top secret up until now.

When reached for comment, BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star declined to comment, but since, a teaser image has been uploaded on base social media accounts with only a computer-generated image of a building that shares a resemblance to the one under construction in Gangnam and the words: base Culture Complex: coming soon.

[NEWS] Base TV announces Our Songs

base has announced that the the first show that will be airing during their base TV television block is a idol songwriter competition show called Our Songs. Through a press release, it was confirmed that the concept of the show is to have idol songwriters compete against each other to crown the ultimate idol songwriter. The cast of the show will each release original songs throughout the course of the show that will be evaluated and voted on by in-person and online audiences. A lottery for tickets to the first live filming on September 5 has been opened up on base’s website.

In addition to the news of the show, the confirmed cast list has been released as well. Silhouette’s Youngjoo, Gal.actic’s Kami, Knight’s Taeyong, Origin’s Joohwan, Fuse’s Suji, 7ROPHY’s Eunah, Unity’s Jaewon, and Element’s Sun will be the idol songwriters competing on the show to earn the title of the ultimate idol songwriter.

Our Songs will air every other Friday at 11PM beginning September 4 and the first songs from the show will release August 30 at 6PM.

[NEWS] Base announces May COLLA3ORATE Project lineup

In March, news of a new multi-media collaboration project called base between BC Entertainment, Dimensions Entertainment, and Gold Star Media was released. Shortly after, the first project between the companies was teased as a cross-company music collaboration that would feature six special singles that would be released as a mini-album at the end of the project.

Today, base confirmed the first two singles of the project will be releasing in May, both of which have been executive produced by BC Entertainment and feature a common concept of youth according to the press release. Photos teasing the song concepts and lyrics have also been released on base’s social media accounts.

On May 11, COLLA3ORATE will release “Love & Live” which has been officially described in the press release as taking on the emotions of youthful love and was partially lyric-written by Knight’s Duri. It has also been revealed that the single will be performed by WISH’s Yoohyeon and Siyeon and Lucid’s Haseo and Wei. 

On May 20, COLLA3ORATE will release “Go”, which exemplifies the rebellious side of youth and was partially lyric-written and partially composed by Fuse’s Suji. It has been revealed that the performers of the single will include CHARM’s Yuanjun and Dai, Unity’s Jaeyeol, Origin’s Dawon and Jaehyun, and Impulse’s Xiwon.

[NEWS] Base TV announces Secret Sibling

base has announced the next television show that will be airing during their base TV television block! The company has already announced the idol songwriter competition show Our Songs, which will begin airing on September 4, and a new show called Secret Sibling has now been added to the line-up. The press release states that the purpose of the show is to pair idols up with their own “secret sibling”, who they will get to know over the course of the show by sharing their everyday lives and worries with each other.

The press release also confirmed the cast of the show, featuring several big names: Decipher’s Taejin, Aria’s Jynx, Alien’s San, Knight’s Duri, Woo, Heesung, and Hyuk, Lipstick’s Ruby, Artemisia, and Minnie, Fuse’s Miyeon, Minjung, and Sooah, WISH’s Rina and Sophie, Unity’s Jaeyeol and Ting, and Lucid’s Hyoyeon, Alice, and Wei.

Secret Sibling will air every other Friday at 11PM beginning September 11.
