So, in this timeline Damian sees Tim as competition and Jason refuses to go back home untill the pretender is out, so after Tim brings Bruce back Bruce and dick kinda send him away with promises to still meet up and chevk in.
But miscommunication happens and nobody ever reaches out to Tim, so while he sees how much better his family is without him, he keeps spiraling unto this nihilistic worldwiew that nothing he did ever mattered because he will just die alone and forgotten. Because no matter what he can never keep people around for long.
Two years pass and Lucius writes to Bruce about Tim being AFK for more than a month, which is unusual for him, and to please check on the boy. Bruce and Dick realize that due to a misunderstanding they both assumed the other has been checking on Tim. Let's say Alfred is with Cass and Steph in Japan. Idk.
So anyways while Bruce and Dick argue Jason decides fuck it, he got over his embarrassing rivalry with Tim and gkes to check on him in his apartment.

When he arrives at Tim's apartment, the place is a mess. There are empty fast food containers, energy drinks, dirty clothes everywhere, the walls are moldy, and everything smells rancid. Jason licates Tim in the bedroom which smells even worse. The guy is thin and feverish, and the smell of sick is basically coating the room. Jason panics and calls up leslie who tells him to bring the guy to the clinic.
