Could you perhaps contiune the bounty hunter one? The one with the villian planning to blackmail them into working for them? Maybe a mission given, or maybe a punishment due to disobedience
Well, fellas, bad things happen bingo has made a comeback. The last two posts for this are here.
I hope you like this, there was a lot of room for me to play around. I posted this on my tablet so bear with the format. I'll fix it when I can, I've had an Edinburgh trip this weekend.
Bounty Hunter panted as they inched along in little pathway in front of them, trying to get their leg to move normally. Villain watched them closely, noting the sweat on their brow, how they clung to the railing so tightly in their knuckles changed colour. It was far too soon and their leg burned with pain. “Hurry up,” Villain grunted. “Lengthen your strides.”
“I'm doing my best,” Bounty Hunter snapped. “Maybe if you hadn't shot me you wouldn't have this problem!”
Villain stepped forward in one powerful stride and grabbed Bounty Hunter by the throat, squeezing tight. Bounty Hunter grabbed at their hand but instantly they fell to their knees without the support. Villain dragged them back up and Hunter's face contorted in pain. Their leg wobbled as they struggled to stay on their feet. A whimper trickled out of their throat.
“You made your own problem by taking my men. Be grateful that I'm giving you time to heal and not just sending you out there. Don't forget why you're doing this.”
Villain let go of Bounty Hunter and they crumpled to the floor, gasping, unsure whether to hold their throat or their leg. “You've got until the end of the week.”
“You still haven't told me what I'm doing,” Bounty Hunter croaked, breathing back tears.
Villain crouched down beside them. “I want [Hero]. I know you have the technology and the necessary relationship with them to get the job done. I want them alive and fully functioning.”
“I hardly know them… just that their powers are dangerous.” Villain grabbed them by the throat and forced them to make eye contact. “You will, or people you love are going to get hurt! And if you still don't comply, I am perfectly serious about my threat of wiping your memory.”
Bounty Hunter managed to smack their arm away and fell back
“You're crazy.” Villain dragged them up and forced them into a standing position, Bounty Hunter yelped and grabbed hold of the railings in time to not fall again. “Extremely motivated,” Villain retorted. “Now walk!”
Five days later, Bounty Hunter was waiting to meet Hero not far from their base. The bait: information on Villain. They sat on a crate, nursing their pulsing leg. They had no idea how they were going to get this to work- they could hardly even stand. Trickery was the only way they had, but Villain seemed to think it would be enough. Bounty Hunter was less convinced. They didn't want to do this, Hero didn't deserve to end up in Villain's possession like an ornament. What did they even want Hero for?
“Make it quick, [Bounty Hunter], I'm in a rush.” Bounty Hunter felt for the sedative in their pocket. One jab and it'd be over, or at least they hoped. If they had the chance to use their powers... They stood up to meet Hero, but pain ricocheted across their thigh and they fell to the floor, sending another wave of pain into their already very bruised and scraped knees.
“Hey, you okay?” Hero asked, hurrying over to them. Bounty Hunter hissed through gritted together, screwed up their face, and tried to grip the concrete beneath them. They tried to dismiss it. “I. it's fine… battle wounds.”
“Have you had it seen to? I can take you to the person who patches me up?”
Bounty Hunter shook their head. “Listen, about [Villain]-” they stopped themselves. They couldn't do this, they couldn't trap Hero like this. “Run,” they murmured. “Protect my kid, and get out of here. I. It's. It's a trap. Go!”
No sooner had the words left Bounty Hunter's lips, Hero stumbled forward and screamed, their back arching in pain. Bounty Hunter turned quickly. Villain's Henchmen, they were here, and with their incredibly powerful tazers. Bounty Hunter could only watch in horror as tazer after tazer latched onto Hero’s body. That much energy made it impossible for them to concentrate on using their powers, or even breathe.
As Hero began to convulse, surrounded by Villain's men, Bounty Hunter tried to snatch some of the wires away. It immediately scalded the inside of their hand and they yelped.
In a blink something slammed into their chin, Villain's leg, and the force threw them backwards. Villain pounced on them, and Bounty Hunter was hardly able to brace as they clamped a hand on their leg and squeezed, digging fingers into the healing wound. They screamed and tried to get them off, but the Henchmen snatched up their wrists. Their cries caught in their throat as Villain seethed, “You're so lucky. So very lucky I didn't trust you. I have [Hero] and for that, I won't touch your family. But you? You're mine now.”
Villain let go of their leg, leaving Bounty Hunter gasping for air and dark circles gouging into their vision. They approached Hero, spasming on the floor. Villain kicked their foot. “Finally. It's been a while, [Hero], and we have unfinished business. I'm looking forward to it.” They turned to look at their men. “Pack their up, let's go. Here, pass me that tazer.”
Bounty Hunter gulped and put their tongue behind their teeth in time for the electric to slam in their chest. The Henchmen let go of them just in time to not suffer the agony Bounty Hunter was experiencing. Those tazers weren't meant for normal people, and within seconds, Bounty Hunter was unconscious.
