imagine that you were sent back in time and found yourself inhabiting your ancestors body. He is/was in egypt, on some strange side quest with his boyfriend. Over the course of the following day, you start to recall your ancestor's memories and basically absorb his personality, which kills him. Now you are him, and also yourself. Your girlfriend is here, she hates the boyfriend. Said boyfriend unlocks godlike powers, at which point you recognise him as a guy you stabbed not that long ago in the future. He tries to kill you both, then stops because he loves you. He ends up in a coma, you visit him because you are now in love with him too, because you are your ancestor. Then you go back to the future at some point and never mention any of this again.
