Asher held Sam's hands apart, not knowing what to say but just staring up at him, pleading for him to make the right choice. Sam didn't want to look but he knew he had to. He owed it to Ash. Of course Asher would be at the mall he's always at the mall. Fuck, how could he have been so stupid? Sam began to cry as he looked at Asher.
"Don't do this... Please baby..." he said softly, holding Sam's hand so tight, nails digging in so much that Sam was worried it might cause him to detonate.
"I have to. Run, okay? Run as far as you... As you can... And don't look back, don't look... Don't tell anyone, please. Text me when you're out. When you're away, safe... You can move on from this, please Ash just go." Asher's hands shook as he started to cry as well. They both knew Asher wouldn't just let people get hurt.
"I can't lose you..." Asher paused before screaming, "CLAPPERS!!!" Too late. One of the other members of his cell had clapped right before Asher had given the warning. Screams broke out as the fire alarm came to life. Asher looked at Sam. The floor shook from the force of the explosion.
"Just go, while you can." Sam said, sobbing and his nose running. Asher moved and hugged Sam gently as to not cause an unwanted detonation.
"Don't do it... Please Sam please..."
"I'm so sorry." Sam swung his hands together.
And then they were gone.
