another woven table runner for my mom. didn’t know how to secure my edges with a hemmed stitch at this point, so they’re a little loose and stretched out lol… but it’s held up ever since. made with 100% cotton, both thrifted and repurposed from old knit garments i never wore.

My first t shirt weaving project

She's a little wonky but pretty cool for my first one. And no sewing required!!

Look what I made!

This was woven by hand on this loom (pen for reference):

This was woven from the bottom up. Midway through the first blue stripe, I ran out of the blue that I had been using, so I had to swap. The pink I had also wasn't the best shade, but there weren't better ones at the store.

This was a great project! I'd used this loom before, but only for pieces that used the same yarn all the way through. I think I’m going to make another of these, and then sew then together to make a little bag.

I don’t know that I would ever attempt weaving anything larger or more intricate than this mini-quilt, but I love that it looked exactly like what I had in my head. Makes me want to go ice dye a whole bunch of fabric again, even though I have at least five projects in the pipeline that don’t call for it.
