"Welcome to the first meeting of the "Everyone expects me to fix all their problems all the time" club. I'm Danny Phantom, now one by one introduce yourselves."
"MC."
"Fox."
"Aster Dings..."
"Nate Jolly."
"I'm also an MC..."
"Yep, MC here!"
A few others follow in introduction
MO decided if they don't want therapy then the next best thing was a place for them to rant about their problems.
I think we can agree some things that would horrify the average normal Human… doesn't really bother Danny (or Ghosts and Half Ghosts in general...?).
So anyway, as one of the few teenagers that come to The Fool's Errand I see a lot of people from vastly different backgrounds randomly giving him advice… sometimes very questionable advice (like how Dr Delightful once spent hours explaining in gory detail how to tell if various supernatural races are still kicking or had kicked the bucket, another time Cat and Mr Dings went on a tangent about wounds and how to patch them up without the help of magic or potions, etc. etc. and so forth)
So generally the stuff the adults there tell him is weird but on more than one occasion it's actually been…. useful, weirdly enough, so he actually ends up listening. Most of the time anyway.
Sometimes it's not helpful but still interesting, other times he just... has that knowledge now.
.
However… most of my Phantom in The Fool's Errand interactions takes place in a Nobody Knows AU.
So I just imagine him (if he's friends with them in that reality) returning to Sam and Tucker with various bits of forbidden and cursed knowledge.
And… what are they supposed to do with this information…? Along with the fact that Danny shares it with a straight face (or smile)??
FallenCleithro is definitely a Fell type world in many ways but.... it's not like most AUs. Cleithro universes don't have a Sans or a Papyrus. Asriel is alive and watches over the Water Ruins, Toriel isn't around and instead of Flowey there's a Rosey, Asgore is.... colder, especially in FallenCleithro where the one being who could have freed Monsters long ago, chose not to because of the high likelihood of another war. Seven souls isn't enough to open the barrier either.
Dr Aster Dings, the royal scientist, was once considered one of the king's children before the death of Queen Toriel, the disappearance of Asriel and a sudden falling out between the scientist and Asgore. It's implied Aster may know where the prince is but he hasn't spoken a word of it.
Characters like Undyne and Alphys are still children, though Alphys has big dreams of joining the Royal Guard and often follows Aster when in Ashen (instead of Snowdin it's a few villages surrounded by magma and burnt down forest. A different fish monster (implied to have relation to Undyne) is the current Captain of the Royal Guard.
The Human, Fera, doesn't have access to Resets nor is her soul one of DETERMINATION. She's not quite sure what it is that brings her back every time her soul shatters but it's not her.
_Mothers_
.
MO had flowers braided into his hair, and not just one type of flower but a rather colorful variety of tiny flowers decorated his snowy white hair and some even hung down his mask. He was watching in clear dismay as a tall woman replaces the lavender and other darker flowers decorating some parts of The Fool's Errand with a more bright and colorful variety. "Mom. The flowers were fine-" "I'll bring you new grave flowers later dear, you hardly ever decorate this place."
MO sighs. "I decorate plenty."
.
Mal decided to just… not get involved, opting to sit far away and talk to Mac, who was making a card and MO's niece Briar who was drawing a picture.
...
However not all had the same self preservation. He watches curiously as Mr Dings walks over to MO looking nervous.
"Uh… you know how you usually get moms flowers on Mother's Day?"
MO nods, glancing back at the woman momentarily. "Yes?"
"Uh… what do you get your mom if she IS a flower?"
Mal never thought he'd see the day. MO was actually stumped.
"Like… actually a flower?"
"Yes... kinda. She's a sentient plant with colorful petals."
Dings' life sounds wild. And here Mal thought his mom was weird for teaching him how to clean up crime scenes and teaching him hand signals before his ABCs… she's also still in jail last he heard.. he really SHOULD visit her some time.
Aster found himself walking through BurntTown to his usual sulking place… the door to the Water Ruins.
He knocks on the door. "Knock knock."
No answer. Asriel must be busy… he can't really complain seeing as he himself gets too busy to socialize all the time. So instead, Aster just shrugs and sinks down onto the ash covered ground to sit down… ruining yet another lab coat probably.
… His eye sockets felt heavy… when was the last time he's slept? Or eaten for that matter? He's supposed to find a way to free Monster kind… he's actually found a way out, several actually. But really, they don't deserve that freedom… especially not if they're just going to declare another war. So instead he focused on things like Timelines, The Butterfly Effect… eventually the Multiverse Theory. And boy has he been having breakthroughs, followed by the appropriate existential crisis.
Aster groans and leans his head against the large door. There was a skull splitting ache, originating from the cracks in his skull and spreading.
"Dings! You lazy Skeleton! Why didn't you tell me you were baaaack?!" And just like that he's jolted back to the present by none other than Alphys… still wearing her "Battle Body", it rattles as she approaches. "Hey Al."
"Don't "hey Al" me Dings! Why are you out here alone?" She plonks down next to him. He shrugs. "Been thinking." "As you always do, hehehe." She grins. "Right. So you remember how I told you about different realities?" Much to his relief she nods. He can never be sure what others remember these days…
"I recall saying it would be cool if we all could be friends!" She beams. Yep, that's his best friend alright.
He sighs and stares off into the burned down forest. "What if you found out… some versions of you… were bad Monsters?" That was putting it extremely lightly really. Alphys humms thoughtfully for a moment.
"Well… I'd be a bit disappointed in them. After all The Amazing Alphys strives to be equally amazing in all things… buuuut at the end of the day I'm me and they are themselves. And that's okay."
Aster tilts his skull. "Just like that?" "Just like that." She smiles.
…
"I'm the luckiest Skeleton in the Underground. Do you know why?"
"You're the ONLY Skeleton in the Underground-" she laughs nervously at the unimpressed look her friend gives her.
"No. Because I'm friends with not only the coolest Monster in this Universe, but I think you're the coolest Alphys in the Multiverse."
She beams and bumps him playfully. "I AM the AMAZING Alphys after all. I think YOU'RE the coolest Dings ever too."
Aster politely disagrees. "Dings!" She scolds.
