Mermaid inspired by the Fallera dresses in Valencia, Spain.
A friend of mine lived in Valencia for a few years so when we saw each other for the first time in forever she told me all about their local festivals and specifically The Fallas. Imagine a neighborhood vs neighborhood citywide giant flammable statue and parade and block party. Which wouldn't be complete without the Falleras, the lady representatives in historical fancy dress. Really cool photos if you're interested in learning more, the hairstyle alone is so intricate, imagine a whole bell-shaped, lace-accented ensemble.
