barbaric comes from the greeks making fun of the laun language and saying it sounds like "barbarbarbar" and then called them barbiarians later. is there more stuff associated with it that makes it offensive?

I literally gave two examples in my text post, I am not Google. a simple Wikipedia search shows that many of the people the Greeks and later the Romans called barbarians are non-white ethnic groups such as the Imazighen and Persians-- and that doesn't even touch on its modern usage. it's not a coincidence that most of the groups who are viewed as 'uncivilized' (whatever that even means) consist of people of colour.
