Among the nobility of the New Southern Empire, and especially within the Tripoli citadel of the Manta de Apulia, the position of bailarin de la corte is immensely coveted. It entails more than beauty: it is a spot worth killing for. The title is not only heavily guarded and shrouded in riches and ceremony, but enormous power is vested in its holder, second only the chief advisors of the duchy. Aasimar calvary, with Imperial wyverns as their mounts, protect the precious lives of the court entertainers.
Specially selected from the diezmo - tiefling - obscurity of Sangre at birth, bailarines are trained in the complexities of ballet de cour for years. The debut of a new dancer draws nobles from across the dukedom, and their continued performance encourages politically crucial patronage. Current performer Perfection, the most decorated dancer of the court so early in his career, was selected for his vibrant skin and a mutation which gave him one horn instead of two. Those opposed to the practice of training up diezmo for entertainment protest that removing children of a subjugated race from their ancestral homes and traditions is tantamount to trafficking; Perfection, loyal to the Southern Court, would tell you this is all he has ever known.
The lavish chambers in the Palazzo's North Tower are decorated to the occupying courtier's tastes, though retired bailarines de la corte still hold prestige as musicians, scholars, and artists. Dancers have been known to extend their careers with dangerous magic, and had disaster not befallen him, Perfection would have certainly done the same.

The smithy was especially fun one to make as it required to do a deepdive into Medieval forgery in a very short term. Now I know stuff about wire drawing, different types of hammers and anvils, carpenter tools, chainmail creation and many more x)
