"high fantasy" this, "low fantasy" that, what about weird fantasy? there's a mad astronomer trying to blow up the sun so he can study the stars 24/7. one of your friends is being divorced by his wife because she got turned into a frog and his kiss didn't turn her back. the bridge and the troll are in cahoots
a horse is a dragon is a horse is a dragon ok

when & how did you get into Sf9? It was during Tear Drop era when I became quite fond of them. Back then I watched Kingdom Legendary War for Ateez and Ikon and also discovered The Boyz and SF9 along the way but unfortunately it didn’t catch me enough to dig deeper. But then this set appeared on my dash and well, I was a goner. What caught my eye the most were their outfits. Since then I stayed. I dug that deep that I found out I was at a hookah bar when they had their concert here in my city *sigh* (I could’ve been there).
do you have a bias? any wreckers? Urgh I hate to choose bc like I love them equally but IF I need to choose then it’s Zuho as for my wreckers it’s definitely Youngbin and Dawon lately (I didn’t choose to be wrecked by Dawon but... it happened). That doesn’t mean that I don’t like the others as well :)
favourite title? O Sole Mio, Now or Never and Summer Breeze
favourite bside? Fall in Love (special mentions: Different, Shadow)
favourite mv? Easy Love, RPM and Summer Breeze
favourite era? Sue me but, it’s Now or Never and Summer Breeze
k.o. or scold / echo or beautiful light / o sole mio or mamma mia / puzzle or trauma / jungle game or play hard / believer or savior / ok sign or ok ok / like the hands held tight or memory / dreamer or new world / still my lady or just on my way / love no. 5 or tight
I tag: @dripdropv and anyone who wants to do it <33
Do you have a reccommended fantasy reading list?
i wouldn't say i have a rec list as such, because at the end of the day it's a matter of what you like about the genre & what you want to read more of. that's most of my gripe with people who claim grrm somehow ~rescued or reinvented the fantasy genre: if they love asoiaf specifically for its "realism" (a term here misused to mean political intrigue & sexual violence), they don't like fantasy, they like political thrillers and true crime, and should probably be reading more of that instead of complaining about other fantasy works not catering to their tastes. i say this because i have had this conversation more than once and this has been my takeaway every time.
that said! i do have personal favourite fantasy (and fantasy esque; some predate the formation of the commercial genre) works, some of which could probably make for good introductions. obviously fantasy's more gothic roots in romantic culture matter to me a lot, but i also think the genre's contemporary richness can be overlooked when people have this idea of High Fantasy = All Fantasy, so this list is biased in those two ways. so, a vaguely chronological list of faves:

la belle dame sans merci by john keats

all I want is to be whisked away by the phantom haunting this opera house and maybe be tied up in his underground lair by my wrists while he explores my body with his hands and breathes his cold breath down my neck and kisses it and kisses me and swears he'll keep me here forever, keep me safe, away from the cold dark world...
