Ahura Mazda and the Keyhole-Shaped Ring of Kingship

Of interest are the emannating ‘Sun Rays’ from the head of Mithras. The object being held by Mithras may be some sort of diadem or ceremonial  broadsword, as Mithras appears to be engaged in some sort of ‘knighting’ of Ardahsir II as he receives the ‘Farr’ (Divine Glory) diadem from Ahura Mazda. The ‘farr’, also known as the ‘Ring of Kingship’ would be given by the gods to their chosen representatives, who were often bloodline descendants or demigods, half man & half god
