Hi, it's me again.
I was looking at stuff of the Deadcode AU ( for research on a comic dub with a friend, and found out about an AU called "Fear AU" (by @talisetekt here on Tumblr) and wanted to add a little silly input because why not honestly.
I mean everything nicely and I am sincerely sorry if I come off as rude.
Love the design of Scourge and I know he was a one time little drawing, but I have some input as a decent fan of him. Scourge is Sonic from a different universe, and is that world's Sonic. So absolutely, water is a no no, however, there is more to Scourge as fears than just water. Only if one wishes to go different to Sonic.
In the prison arc with Scourge, Scourge was restricted of his power, making him weak and practically with nothing. And until his old crew came along to get his ass out, he was practically helpless. Similar to Tails, who has the fear(of sorts) of being too reliant.
ALSO, as seen in the comic between him and Jules. We see how he reacts when Jules puts his foot down and basically says "hey, you didn't care about your dad, but my son cares a lot about me," and that brought Scourge to tears. Being confronted with a truth he refused to acknowledge. His father was extremely neglectful, as he says, and what did Jules do? Confront him like a father would. A threat, yes, but he knew Scourge would back down. That one was a bit of a reached yap. Maybe you get the point. Moving on!
And hey, on the note of neglect, let's talk about the possible fear he has of being ignored/forgotten. As we saw briefly in the comic previously mentioned, Scourge gives a bit of his backstory. His father was neglectful, whether intentional or not, and that affected Scourge. He wants to be big and bold, to make his name known and feared.
What we also find about Scourge is his disdain for liars and traitors. Could add to a fear even with how much he hates it. Within moments of knowing his group betrayed him (Archie comic, issue #194,) he kicked all their asses. The moment he's betrayed, he gets defensive and angry, and knowing stuff I learned as an actor, anger derives from hurt and sadness in simple terms I guess. Lots of commas, gracious.
One last thing before I wrap this up, Scourge has a disdain for order and structure. That's why he's all about chaos. But even then, it's not all order, it's just order he isn't in control of. To be king, you gotta have rules. He had rules for his groups to keep them in line and in his vision of ruling. This one I don't have evidence for, but I make the assumption from how he behaved with his groups. It honestly extends to the reasoning of his discomfort with a lack of control.
The purpose of this was to establish alternatives to water as a fear honestly. Also because, I love the AU and wanted to contribute my thoughts into how things could be for one specific character that got a drawing I saw and spiraled into a whole post. I might make another post showing off how these could be portrayed, but that's all I got for now. Toodles, and live laugh love divas.
hi!! here i brought some headcanons for @qfliporiana 's Fear AU
enjoy!!
— For the first month, when it all started, Mariana was the one who would go to recollect whatever they needed. He was distant bc he didn't want to get attached to Juana in case anything happened. He didn't have too much faith in either he or Slime as a parent. — During this time, Slime was in ecstasy of having so much time to spend with their daughter. However, when he started noticing Mariana's erratic behaviour (and the amount of shit he dealt with during his outings), he stepped up and talked with him. (Because in this AU they actually communicate. Impressive, right?) — After discussing about it, and Slime basically forcing him to spend some time with Juanaflippa, they agreed on a routine: they would alternate everyday between who stayed at home and who would go navigate through the mobs. — Mariana cooks. Slime cleans. Slime's banned from the kitchen cuz he almost burnt their house down, and Mariana is banned from mixing chemicals together bc he accidentally made mustard gas and almost kills everyone inside the house. — Life can get kinda boring when you're locked in your house, and they knew Juana needed some sort of stimulation. So they created their 2-cents versions of popular board-games. The only not-homemade game they have is some poker cards Quackity gave them. — "Don't let Juana bet unless is Sunday" is an actual rule they implemented. — Slime has a nasty scar on his shoulder. Not from any hostile mob trying to kill him, but from a badly-aimed arrow from Mariana. Since then, Mariana doesn't use bows. — Slime sings Juana her lullabies bc Mariana gets too into it. Slime, while he has a higher pitch than Mariana, also has a softer voice: he hums whatever lullaby his sibling sang on his days inside the cage they were kept in. With him, Juana falls asleep in mere minutes. — Mariana has a whole repertoire of Mexican ballads in his mind. Sometimes, he badly-sang on purpose for Juanaflippa to cheer her up, or used the songs to teach her some Spanish. Juanaflippa imagines entire telenovelas with this songs. Sometimes, when Juanaflippa had nightmares or was too-distressed by the monsters howling outside and Slime was out, he would sit her on his lap and lowly sing for her until it all passed. Juanaflippa thinks that his voice sounds like thunder, all loud and rumbly, but in those moments she was grateful that it was strong enough to drown any other sound around them. — They have a farm inside their house. Juanaflippa adores it; she loves helping to take care of the plants. — They don't let Juana out, under any circumstances. The last time they took her out. Well. Stuff happened. — When Mariana and Slime discovered that Philza and Missa lived on top of the wall, they tried to make a tunnel so they could steal from them. The tunnel was done, but the robbing not so much; they didn't take into account the force to be reckoned Chayanne is. Since then, both pairs have a tense relationship. — Sometimes, Chayanne and Juana talked through the wall. Juana thinks he's a bit rude but considers him her friend. He also told her epic stories, so that's a plus.

He should’ve known something like this would happen. He should’ve seen the signs.
First, there was Private Johnson. Good kid, good soldier. He was an overall happy person, his roommates said. Funny, optimistic, always making sure everyone was okay. Which was why it was so weird when Private Smith found him in his room one morning, a gun still on his hand and pieces of his brain mixed in with the blood that covered his once white sheets. Suicide, they had ruled. Strange, but not impossible, after all, the secrecy and isolation required for this mission could take a dangerous toll on some of the more weak minded soldiers. So they sent his body back, gave his family enough money to make sure they’d keep quiet and simply moved on.
But, as Thaddeus Ross would later find out, that had been just the beginning.
Soon, more strange things started to happen. There was Lieutenant Wilton, who electrocuted himself while making repairs, even though he was one of the best engineers they had. Major Baldwin, who pressed the wrong button and ended up severely hurting five soldiers in a training exercise. But it was only after Dr. Kudrow accidentally poisoned herself after simply forgetting of putting on her mask before dealing with some very dangerous poisons that Ross truly started to think that maybe, maybe, something was amiss in the facility. And by then it was already too late.
He was talking to Dr. Connely about the recent events when the alarm went off.
“What the hell is happening now, Private?”
“I don’t know, sir”, the younger man replied, looking at the big screens around them, trying to find the culprit.
“My God, look”, Dr. Connely said, pointing at one of the screens.
They watched, confused and horrified, as the soldiers, one by one, started killing themselves. A knife through the eye, a bullet in the head. Some turned their own guns against themselves, others simply dropped their weapons and started hitting their heads on the walls as hard as they could.
“What on god’s name is happening?”, Ross whispered to himself.
“There’s something over there”, one of the Privates said, pointing at another screen.
The corridor it showed was painted with blood and filled with the bodies of fallen soldiers. A shadow like creature suddenly stepped into view. It walked slowly, seemingly unaffected by the carnage surrounding her. It stopped in the middle of the corridor and looked around before making an unusual gesture with its hand. The bodies around it then started to move. Slowly, the got on their knees and then on their feet, as if nothing had happened, as if they’d been merely waking from an afternoon nap.
“It’s the girl”, Dr. Connely said, looking at Ross, “It has to be”.
“Close down that facility NOW”, Ross shouted to the Privates and they immediately did so, “Activate the Panic Room Protocol here and contact the other facilities, quickly now”.
“What about the soldiers, sir?”
“They are the best damn soldiers we have. They’ll stop her”, Ross said with a confidence he didn’t really feel at the moment.
“She’s...She’s controlling them”, the Dr. commented, taking a step closer to the monitor, “My God, Thaddeus, she’s turning the dead into marionettes!”
“Sir, we can’t get into contact with the other facilities. They’re not responding”, the Private said just as the radio came to life.
“Ross, are you there?”
“This is Ross, what’s your status, Lawrence?”, the secretary promptly asked.
There was silence. And then Lawrence giggled.
“You sound worried, Mr. Secretary. Are you scared?”
Dr. Connely looked at Ross, horrified, mouthing ‘it’s her’.
“I’m going to rip your hearts out”, the man whispered manically, giggling before the line was cut.
“DAMN IT”, Ross screamed, punching the table in front of him.
“Sir, look”, the Private said, typing something on his computer, making the small screen bigger, “They look fine”.
The people in the screen looked fine, indeed. No head wounds, no blood. The taller man, Lawrence, was standing there, as was everyone else, the radio still in his hand. It looked like the weirdest game of statues.
“She’s controlling them all. Ross, what do we do?”
“We’ll be fine here”.
“FINE? She can control people! I’m surprised she hasn’t controlled US yet!”
“She won’t be able to control us because this room is sealed with magic”.
“MAGIC?” Dr. Connely asked, outraged.
“A sorcerer, much like Stephen Strange, used his magic to protect this room. She cannot control us, she cannot come through the doors. We’re safe here”.
“For now. We can’t stay here forever. You need to call them”.
Ross turned back to the doctor, looking livid. “This is a secret facility, Dr. Connely. Do you really expect me to bring them here? To show them what we’ve done? Do you think Bruce Banner will agree with what was done here? Do you think Steve Rogers will?”
“She is beyond dangerous”, the doctor insisted, not in the least scared of facing his superior, “Right now, she is out there, killing every single man and woman in this island. What if she escapes? Your little soldiers can do nothing against her! The Avengers are the only ones that can stop her now. CALL THEM”.
Ross squeezed the radio in his hand, almost breaking it. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He didn’t want to admit it, but the doctor was right.
“Send an SOS to Avengers Headquarters”, he told the private, who nodded, busying himself with his computer, “Give them our location and tell them we have a super powered female with telepathic powers. Tell them she can control minds so they’ll need to be prepared”.
“Done, sir”, the private said a few minutes later.
“And now?”
“Now we wait”, the secretary replied, sitting on one of the chair nearby, feeling older than he ever had before, “now we wait, doctor”.
