I’ve been neglecting asking about el too ; ( since the Edelbert parentage has already been asked and my favorite ship is Edelthea so no child for them unfortunately😔) . If Edelgard were paired with one of her other canon pairings ( Ferdi, Caspar, Lin), do you think that she’ll have a more different dynamic with their children or would it just be similar to Siegfried as she’ll still be busy as the emperor ? Like take for example ; Roxanne as her daughter ; would it be easier for her to relate/bond or would it simply fall on Ferdi since he’s already more likely to spoil her /have more time to interact with Roxanne ( like ofc she loves Siegfried ; no doubt about that)

(This is a big one, so here goes! All of these options would be Seigfried's younger sisters and will likely be a lot healthier than he is. Prepare for frosted tips!)

What would their dynamic be like?

Well, what happens when you make a perfectionist already determined not to reflect badly on her father... and make her mother the Emperor of Fodlan? You give the poor girl anxiety because now she's got TWO incredibly important houses to reflect well on.

While both Ferdinand and Edelgard would likely stress the importance of choosing her own path, Roxanne would also see the effect that the policy shifts they'd made had on the populace as a whole. Due to her own humanitarian efforts keeping her in close contact with the common folk, those people would constantly be looking at her as an example in much the same waythey look at her parents. If she even mildly presented herself in an improper way, it could start trouble.

Edelgard would also insist Ferdinand not spoil her so much, to which the latter would listen for maybe a few days before doing it again anyway. I think Roxanne would ask a lot of questions regarding her mother's plans, trying to get a full understanding of what's going on so she can do her part to make it work.

What would their dynamic be like?

Hilarious. A comedy, if you will. The Flame Emperor, her gremlin husband, and her gremlin child who is only slightly shorter than her at 13 is a funny thought.

Knowing Edelgard, she'd encourage Hedy to pursue an outlet that appealed to her the most... and would quickly regret it after she starts challenging her guards to brawling matches. She wouldn't have realized that her second child would be born the exact opposite of her first in one key way: Hedy is a force of nature that cannot and will not be tamed, only mildly buffered. Edie cannot handle allat. To be fair, at least Edelgard would know what to do with her when she comes of age.

To the Officer's Academy with that one! Shipped off immediately after hitting the minimum age requirement. Put that energy to work!!

What would their dynamic be like?

What's better than one family member who won't listen to you? THREE family members who won't listen to you!

Seigfried's angst is difficult enough to deal with, but then you have Linhardt and his mini-me added to the ranks. At least Phoebe will attempt to be dutiful as long as she's bribed with snacks. It probably doesn't help that Phoebe will in turn try to tempt Edelgard with snacks and a well-earned nap to look the other way, because of course she knows that's all Edie wants to do.

Piles of paperwork, or a raspberry lemon cream cake she made herself? Temptation is real.

Fortunately for Edie, Phoebe can be ushered to make herself useful, if only for a little while. That is, until she falls asleep at her desk, face first in a book.
