Failed FEV Mutation
Concept art for Fallout 3
Art by Adam Adamowicz
accidentally typed "the institute's fav experiments" instead of "the institute's fev experiments" now i'm imagining ms. director writing in her journal about her favorite super mutants and synths she's been experimenting on recently ~
My friend always ragebaits me saying Robespierre was a tyrant and murderer and I always fall for it š
my most pathetic gripe with the fallout fandom is when some people call FEV: āThe FEV Virusā
you donāt need to add the virus, the V MEANS virus. itās the forced evolutionary virus. sorry i know this is petty and dumb but it grinds my gears whenever i see it.
Wait, mutant hounds are cats.
The Institute didnāt have dogs to experiment with FEV with, we donāt see any dogs in the Institute. What we do see are cats. There are a bunch of cat corpses all over the FEV labs. Maybe the cats they didnāt give to the mutants they gave to the vats of FEV, and thatās how we got mutant hounds. They are FEV mutated cats.ļæ¼
Is there any in game dialogue or terminal entry in Fallout that states with *certainty* that deathclaws were created by the Enclave? I've played every entry (sans Shelter) and haven't seen it. The only info I can find comes from the Fallout 2 guide, the Bible and Demon in the Snow. The first two I don't consider relevant so that makes the television show the first time they're (almost) explicitly connected to the enclave? Despite asking multiple people they just point to wikis which regurgitate the same source. The fucking Strategy Guide. It seems like the creators deliberately left it a bit vague in the games to create a little mystery.
