maybe its because i played new vegas first but why's everyone hate mutants so much. and ghouls too. the brotherhood openly talks about "cleansing" the commonwealth from "muties" and such. pretty fascist of them. mutie is pretty much a slur in my ears. is it a thinly veiled metaphor for racism? i dont get it

So I haven't played 3 and cant speak to the supermutants in it but the differences between the mutants in new vegas and 4 are so stark and I wanna know if there's any specific lore on why exactly that is because after reading all of swann's notes and being extra nosy in the FEV lab in the Institute I can't get the idea that they were trying to "get more purple" the supermutants and it backfired out of my head
