B - best friend (what would they be like as a best friend? where does the friendship start?)
⮑ With pre/during crisis core era, back before shit hit the fan, he was very reserved. Both by design and also because he’s an introvert, he’s naturally alone. You’d have to be working with Shinra or close to him to even have a chance at interacting with him enough to become friends. So that’s exactly how you two met. You were working with him—and honestly couldn’t care less about his status. He noticed, and found comfort in the fact that you seemed to enjoy his company as he was, not his status.
⮑ He started requesting to have you on his team, go find your tent after time in the battlefield, or even eat in the cafeteria with you. He also dragged you along to hang out with Angeal and Genesis. You would watch them bicker and practice together and even sometimes join in. Finding time to hang out with him was a bit hard due to the leash on him, but you both did your best. He was a good friend, he’d always listen to your worries and give you a safe space. A bit awkward, but he tried.
⮑ Post crisis core well… that’s a whole other vibe. Becoming friends with him while he’s on his whole “destroying the world” would be near impossible, so for the sake of this and my sanity, we’re going with you were already friends before he went mad. That being said, he wouldn’t kill you? His love for you is strong enough to not want to hurt you directly, at least in the beginning. He leaves you alone and may even protect you from Hojo or Shrina if need be. He isn’t a good friend, but what’s left of his mind, that feels strongly for you.
C - cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?)
⮑ So uh… in case it wasn’t obvious, our poor boy grew up in a lab. With no affection. He wouldn’t even originally know what cuddling is. It’s a whole new territory for him. At first I don’t think he would enjoy it, it’s too weak for him. It’s dangerous. But he craved it soooo much. Once that wall was broken down, he thoroughly enjoyed it.
⮑ Pre/during crisis core, he feels comforted by your cuddles. A rough mission, was just experimented on, or simply because he wants to be with you. His favorite positions vary on who’s the more dominant personality and his vulnerable he’s feeling. I don’t think he likes his hair messed with (he’d get yelled at a lot if it got tangled), but he loves to lay in your lap and have your fingers run through his hair. He likes having you on top of him! When you sleep on top of his chest he feels so warm.
⮑ Post crisis core, his cuddling becomes more possessive than anything. You’re not allowed to leave him. He’s terrified you will. Plus, if you’ve stuck around this long, Jenova clearly likes you, she won’t want you to go either. He’s less cuddly, he’s less himself. But he still could.
F - fiance(e) (how do they feel about commitment? do they wanna get married?)
⮑ Sephiroth has a warped perception of commitment and marriage. You can’t change my mind on that. Now of course he didn’t know who his parents were, and when he found out about Jenova, I don’t think he ever found out about Lucrecia and Hojo being his biological parents, or their marital issues. He learns on his surroundings, how people treat each other in relationships, or in books and media. Don’t get me started on how Genesis preaching about loveless got to him in the beginning…
⮑ Pre/during crisis core—once he understands commitment and marriage—I honestly believe his heart craves for it. Love, belonging, a home. He is committed to you and only you, he cannot find it in his heart to love someone else the way he loves you. I don’t see him as someone who’d even sleep around. Love and intimacy are interlinked. Only an overpowered alien has the power to break that dammit Jenova. If he has the freedom and choice, if he believes it’s safe for you, he would love to marry you. He wishes he could separate from Shinra and settle down with you.
⮑ Post crisis core is uh… I’m not gonna sugar coat it this man is toxic. His is committed to Jenova and his beliefs first and foremost. And if you benefit it—or at the least— don’t interfere with it, then he will keep you around. He has no interest in being in a relationship with anyone else. See, the problem isn’t him leaving you. It’s never letting you leave. The idea of you two getting married is fucked. That’s something humans do, you both are above that. And marriages don’t make things permanent.
S - security (how protective are they?)
⮑ Hah… he was raised to be the perfect soldier, overprotective and then some. Both versions in a different way. See, I’m a firm believer that had Sephiroth been given the chance, he’d be very kind and caring towards those around him. He is capable of it. Being protective I believe can come naturally to him. But that’s in another life. In this one, it was drilled into the deepest parts of him. It’s a second instinct. He doesn’t have much of a say in that.
⮑ Pre/during crisis core he is a gentleman with how protective he is. His very presence demands respect and he knows it. He usually doesn’t have to lift a finger to protect you. Unless it against monsters and such, then he won’t hesitate to cut them down. And if I a fool ignores the warnings? He’ll cut them down too. At least this version, will give them a chance to live. Especially if you ask him to make sure they don’t die.
⮑ Post crisis core. His protectiveness is more so possessiveness. No one is allowed to touch what is his. There is no patience, there is no compromise. If someone so much as looks at you funny… and help the poor souls who day try something, he will tear them to pieces.
V - vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)
⮑ Most of his vanity is not his say or control. It’s the lab or those in control of media. Everything about him was heavily inspected. The only say he he really had I believe, is letting his hair grow out. And even that he was monitored and scolded for if he didn’t do it right. If he’s concerned with his looks, it’s because of how he was raised, the indoctrination and trauma drilled into him.
⮑ Post crisis core, I think those parts of him are still there. Vanity, cleanliness, control. Especially control… he doesn’t care for how he looks. But it’s not one of his main concerns.
Thoughts on SOLDIER getting their equivalent of K-9 dogs?
Angeal: His dog was retired within weeks. As it turns out, his strict training methods led his dog to become reactive. He had a German Shepherd named Radar. Radar was retired and as Angeal works and didn’t have time for a high-demand dog breed, let alone one with reactivity. Radar was rehomed to a very nice family in Kalm, where he’s working on his reactivity.
Genesis: He has an Airedale Terrier named Nox (The goddess of the night). She’s technically supposed to be used for transporting messages, but he definitely uses her K9 status to take her into public buildings with him. Nox has attended a great many balcony showings of LOVELESS, luxury-course paw massages from Madam M, and Pawtinis on the beaches of Costa Del Sol.
Zack: Has almost had his dog revoked a great many times. He apologized to Angeal that his Doberman Pinscher, Bullet, ate his pot roast. Angeal got this look of horror and Zack thought it was because he ate the meal he’d been working on all day. No… turns out, the pot roast contained garlic, onions, and leeks. Bullet, named for his fast reflexes and agility, spent a lovely night at the vet getting fluids and a thorough stomach pump. Zack celebrated Lazard not confiscating Bullet… with a drink. An alcoholic drink.
Sephiroth: Sephiroth honors his Belgian Malinois, Pepper, in true military fashion. Canines are always one rank higher than their handler. Pepper is perfectly obedient and by the book trained. Pepper racked up medal after medal within months. She hates Hojo and has a very subtle Wutainese command (courtesy of Tseng) to bite Hojo specifically. Pepper’s only bad habit is she keeps bringing LIVE moogles back everytime the Fat Chocobo is summoned. At first Sephiroth thought maybe she thought they were chew toys, but now he keeps having tea parties with Moogles on his days off.
ok I barely go here but listen to me. Vincent Valentine who becomes so nutrient deficient after his 30 years of coffin hibernation that once he tries to live and function again his body no longer has the collagen to keep up repair of his scars and all his wounds from Hojo's experiments start reopening.

These are my loose ideas that fit their characters to me. Every time I looked at each of them, I had already formed an opinion about who they would choose as their partners and under what circumstances. So here it is!
Could it be with their co-worker or would they prefer someone from outside?
Tseng
And here I'm torn between two perspectives, because on the one hand I would see him with the person he works with and he established a very strong bond and devoted a lot of time to it. Without haste and unnecessary melancholy or dwelling on it, if he wants something - he must be sure of his feelings, the feelings of the other person and he will already have a specific plan of action.
On the other hand, I have the impression that he would not like to combine his work with his private life and would prefer someone from a different circle, completely devoid of any connection with Shinra. Someone who could be at least the one element in his life that separates him from the Company and gives him peace. Maybe someone met or works at the bar he goes to with Rude and Reno. Something like that (?)
Reno
And here, it seems to me that guy would be completely inert to his partner's background, whether they met at work or somewhere else. It doesn't matter to him.
Working together? Great, we'll be clingy during our breaks from work.
Don't work together? I'll try to spend every free moment with you. — That's how I see it.
He just can focus on work even when the object of his interest is sitting next to him or is far away.
He is not suspicious, but he is not oversensitive either. They rather approached someone as if they were a child, gently but also with caution.
(I honestly feel bad that I didn't write much about him lmao)
Rude
And here, just like with Tseng, I have very mixed feelings. I think Rude would be interested in a co-worker but wouldn't try to develop that relationship. He would simply be there, protect and support them. And he aslo afraid that if he allowed himself to have a closer relationship at work, what if something happened to his partner? He wouldn't be able to handle it.
As for people he liked but wouldn't work with, he would probably give some small signals. He would start going shopping more often to the store where they work, to the cafe, and so on. He would probably leave a paper with his number somewhere.
Elena
This girl definitely wouldn't flirt with a co-worker (at least not unless they showed interest first). She's new and all she focuses on is work and reports.
I also wouldn't count on her being interested in random person or someone from bar. She'd probably think this person was trying to take advantage of her and get some information from her. After all, she's Turk!
I literally see her as a diva. (Not in a bad way, I love her, but she just values herself well.)
Rufus
I don't see any other option than someone he works with or someone who has been working for him since he was vice president or even before. This man is too distrustful to meet people outside his already trusted circle. He would immediately be suspicious and would certainly not want to start unnecessary conversations with someone random. Perhaps one of the Turks, a secretary, or an accountant. A man simply must always be in control, or he'll go crazy.

I must admit I'm still stressed... This is my second post andddd... I hope everything is understandable, as I wrote, I still have problems with English. Maybe not with English itself, but I try to make the grammar and other things as correct as possible. I hope that I have managed to cope with myself in order to write this post as best as possible. Uuh...
How would Tifa, cloud, and aerith react to seeing someone who can shapeshift into a flying dragon, or an object, or into a copy of anyone? Basically anything they want.
Cloud is a bit put off. He's reminded of all of the weird experiments that went on with Shinra, somehow. He's much less freaked out if you shapeshift into something like another person, and even then, he only finds it acceptable if you're making fun of them.
Aerith is your biggest fan. She's got a list of things she wants you to change into semi-regularly. She wants you to shapeshift into a tiger, so she can cuddle you and not worry about how you might bite her. She loves bear y/n, because she gets to tie ribbons in your fur. The only time Aerith had an issue was when she asked you to change into her, and then she got freaked out.
Tifa thinks it's pretty cool, and useful for fighting. It reminds her of old anime she used to watch! She wants you to shapeshift into a talking metal bat so badly, so that she can hit enemies with you... She only yields when you tell her you will, in fact, still feel pain on impact. Sometimes, she has you change into other people so that she can play dress-up. Somewhere in the world, there's a picture of you changed into Cid, and you have him dressed like a 70's heartthrob.
In Nibelheim, it’s a custom for couples to combine their surnames together as a symbol of union. There are different ways to do so.
- Claudia’s surname had the ‘Str’ sound, and her husband had the ‘Ife’ part. Which makes ‘Strife’.
- It can also be two full surnames together if it sounds nice. Eg. Crescent-Strife (Sefikura), Martinday (no reference to a ship, just a combination of Martin and Day)
- If Cloud and Tifa got married, they would choose ‘Strifehart’. For a Zakkura situation, it would be Fairstrife.

Cloud
★ Obviously he had to be the first one I'll be talking about
★ Yeahh... If you want to actually touch this guy without him freaking out, you'll have to wait for him to finally give in to his desires
★ Once he's warmed up, may god save you from his wreckingly long cuddling sessions ( poor baby he's so so so touch starved )
★ He doesn't care about the position, he just wants you close, really close to him ( paying off for all the times he has dreamt about you in his arms )
★ Will probably fall asleep very soon once he's got you trapped
"Feeling better?"
A low grumble of approval made your belly vibrate. His head was laying down on your stomach as you were sat on the headboard of the bed, your legs placed by his sides as he had his arms hugging your middle part.
He hugged you as if you were about to leave the room ( which was indeed, not happening ). His eyes were closed and his breathing was serene too, taking the chance to play with his hair meanwhile.
You were both winding down from the day, his hair still a bit damp from the shower he had just taken. And god did he look cute all sleepy on your belly.
You smiled, enjoying one of the very few moments Cloud would let you see his soft side.
Zack

★ Where do I even start, well, should we be asking him?
★ Because the moment your arms would welcome him in a maze of softness and care, this boy would be down bad
★ Automatically would have you trapped bellow him or viceversa, he likes physical touch maybe a bit too much
★ Is also one of the very few moments where you can actually hear silence again besides him, just the sound of his breathing mixed with yours
"Zack! I'm hom-"
Not even 5 seconds after you had shouted that into what you thought was your empty living room, he was already hoisting you up in the air by your waist like the puppy that was waiting for his owner he was.

"I missed you"
"I know, I know"
You tried to shush him, but it was quite a dificult task since he had his whole body on top of you on the sofa. His arms embracing your back, almost as if he didn't care about the cramps he knew he would get, he just cared about you.
He looked at you over where his head was laying on your chest, pointing out how pretty you looked when you smiled. God he is such a dork.
Sephiroth
★ Okay so this guy is... big
★ Not a fan of hugs but god, he lives off your arms wrapped around him
★ He would carry you bride style even when you both are cuddling on the bed. Keeping you close to him by your back and knees
★ You should be proud because this guy... this guy isn't really a big fan of having company nor physical touch with them
★ Once he is alone with you, he is a whole different man
Silence fell over your cute and tidied up room, Sephiroth's best music to listen to.
Your cheek met his collarbone, he was sat on your headboard as he kept you close to him with both of his arms. One by the back of your knees and the other on your back.
His heartbeat made you almost fall asleep by it's lulling trap, and you were sure you wouldn't last any longer either way.
Quiet nights like this before sleep were your absolute favourite and you could tell by the way he spoke to you with such honey bathed words that he enjoyed quite as good as you.
Angeal

★ He loves, loves, loves holding you
★ Anywhere and whenever, his arms would be around you. You're just too sweet not to be held, he thinks
★ But he also loves having your soft hands caressing his skin too, whenever you would let him lay his head down on your thighs as you caressed his forehead and hair.

Your mumbled out response was enough for his heart to melt over your weary eyes and softened voice.
Your arms were curled up in his chest, his strenght not failing him as he kept you close even when he was asleep. He wishes he could stay like this with you forever.
Curled up in his arms as the sun bathed your pretty face, the soft whines you would let as he tried to get you off the bed.
Bonus!!
His hands felt cold at first against your belly, but soon a scorching warmth would start to envelop your guts.
His breathing was serene against your nape, your back against his front. Almost poetically implying that you trusted him, that you cared about him.
No matter how deeply he would have fallen asleep, he still would and will keep you as secure and close to his body. Under the warm covers of your bed, everything felt nicer anyways.
So when you felt his characteristic blonde locks trickling your neck, you felt at home.
