ffxv polyship roadtrip passing time making cute shit in the car :D
TYSM FOR THE ASK !!
Polyship!Chocobros x Reader [Drabble- SFW] Braaacelets!
Another loooong drive was ahead of the group. The lot of you have found a bunch of ways to pass the time roadtripping, some more interesting than others. Today’s time killer? Making bracelets! With Iggy behind the wheel, and honestly, more than happy to sit and listen, the shenanigans ensue.
“Uhhh, babes?” Prompto called out to the car. “Is this right?” To which one of you? Well.. narrowing it down to the only one of the group who knows a lick about the craft at hand, you answer.
“Lemme see.” The blonde awkwardly holds up his mess of paracord to you. When making these sort of bracelets, the two working ends need to be even. Sweet sunshine over here had three working strings, which you didn’t know was possible. With a few tugs and a pat on the head for good measure and reassurance, crisis averted.
“Aaaand you take the opposite side’s string and thread it through the loop you’ve made..” The trio listened carefully to your words, trying their best to imitate. Noct was oddly concentrated for a change, landing it first try. He wiggled his eyebrows at Gladio, who’s large hands have done him dirty. “Mmmm..” He rolled his eyes at the prince.
You shifted from your tight spot between the two and leaned forward to whisper something to Prompto. “Big.. meaty.. claws..”
…
Miles and minutes passed, and the crafting kept going. With questions here and there, it was going well! It made you feel a certain way, seeing your boys take interest in little things like this. For a moment, it makes you forget why you’re on this trip in the first place. As of right now, you were a group of lovers in a fancy car, making bracelets to pass the time. Prince who?
Prompto was making one for Iggy, Noct for you, you for Gladio, and Gladio for Noct. And when there was a pit stop or some traffic, Iggy had started a bracelet for Prompto. He was a quick learner, and made an extra juuust in case.
“Sooo..” Noctis spoke from his perch atop the Regalia. “Y/N, why’d you pick neon pink for Gladdy?”
Before you could find a joking reply, Gladio butted in. “Because real men wear pink. Bright pink.”
“It’s like asking why he’s using all black for you Noct!” Prompto made eye contact with him through the mirror. “You know.. Because you’re emo.”
That one got a laugh from Ignis, who was quickly reminded by Gladio about his own emo phase.
...so a little self indulgence because today is my birthday and I allow myself to be selfish on my birthday…
~~~~~
You weren’t upset…
Okay maybe you were…
No, you were beyond upset, you were livid! Pissed! Some would even say down right nettled!
Today was your birthday, the day that you blessed this world with your arrival and the only people who even seemed to care were the subscription services you had set up and your dentist office.
No text messages, no phone calls, not even a social media post!
You kind of expected it, there were so many things overshadowing your big day. Now you couldn’t exactly blame some of the others, there were a lot of new released hitting so many networks today, not to mention that there was a huge ball this weekend, but your four boyfriends! How dare! Not even a letter!
You kind of couldn’t blame Noctis, the poor prince had been known to go out wearing mismatching shoes, quite frequently, unless Ignis noticed before they left the house. Gladiolus was checking everything over for the huge ball. While Ignis you expected to have a reminder, or something, but he more than likely had his hands full making sure that Noctis and Prompto weren’t going to cause a major scandal. Speaking of Prompto, he should have recalled, he was always the first to remember, and find the most obnoxious balloon possible to bring in the apartment.
But nothing! Absolutely nothing!
You huffed as you laid on the couch, it was your birthday, so you were going to pout all you wanted! Maybe...maybe you’d get yourself a cake and hog it all to yourself. A grown woman could eat an entire cake by herself, and not even Bahamut could stop you!
You went to get ready to go get your pity cake, but as you pulled your phone off the charger you noticed that you had missed a message. From Ignis! You quickly opened the message, only to be find your anger somehow doubled.
Please bring Noctis a tie, he seemed to have left it at home on the bed. I’ll send a car to grab you.
You’d bring Noctis his tie all right! But you couldn’t be held responsible for anything that might happen to it on the way! You marched into the bedroom, finding the stupid tie laying directly on the bed where the Prince had left it. Snatching the tie up you, marched downstairs, the tie clenched tightly in you fist, not caring if it wrinkled! Serves them all right!
The entire car ride to the Citadel you pouted, tempted to just chuck the tie out the window, and tell the driver to take you to the nearest bakery! You were going to down an entire wedding cake at this point!
Leaving the car, you begin the familiar walk up the stairs, on your way to Ignis’s office only to be immediately intercepted by the familiar ladies’ in waiting who assisted you when there are formal events.
“Excuse me, Ms. Y/N, there’s an important visitor today. We were just made aware, please…” One replied, ushering you to the changing room.
“Wait, no I’m only here to drop this off.” You tried to counter holding up the reason you even set foot in the palace today. Only to find the tie that you were just moments ago thinking of lighting on fire was taken from your hand.
“We shall take care of that.”
“Please, we must hurry.”
Every argument or retort that you tried to come up with was immediately countered, as you were whisked away to get dolled up for this mysterious guest, who decided they were suddenly taking over your day. You honestly wondered if these ladies should possibly take over for the King’s Guard with how efficient.
You found it strange that you weren’t high strung dolled up, there were not bobby pins, or gallons of hairspray. The dress was huge, but not the normal red carpet, where you’re to stand there and look pretty type of dress that you typically wore for these things. If anything, you were the most comfortable you have ever been all dolled up.
“Hurry.” One of the ladies called taking your hand, seeing that you were much more relaxed with them, as they have seen you close to naked on a frequent basis.
Still you were so confused when you were lead to a ballroom, wouldn’t it have made more sense to have be received in a throne room? You went to ask, only to find all the ladies had disappeared rather quickly. You turned back to the large door, straining to hear something on the other side, but was only met with silence.
The door cracked open just a the tiniest bit, then enough for you to walk through, but all you were met with was darkness. You knew from memory that you were standing at the top of a staircase high above a beautiful ballroom, but you were surprised that it could get this dark in the middle of the afternoon.
“What the…” You muttered.
Only for all the lights to flash on, streams, glitter and pop cannons went off before you, as you flinched, immediately moving to a defensive position, summoning a flash of fire before you heard the cry of:
“SURPRISE!”
Once the shock wore off you found almost everyone you knew standing around dressed rather fancy but still quite relaxed. A large tiered cake sitting in the middle of a huge buffet with quite a few of your favorite foods! The entire room was decorated for a large party for you.
You stepped forward, having broken your defensive stance whisking the fire away, “Oh my…” You saw Prompto, in a three piece suit towards the bottom of the stairs rapid firing clicking away, he more than likely got a pretty nice picture of you ready to set this place on fire, next to him were Gladiolus and Ignis dressed similarly, but where was Noctis?
You found a hand before you, only to turn and find Noctis, standing there hand offered a blush on his face.
“Happy Birthday, Y/N.” He managed to squeak out as you took his hand allowing him to lead you down the stairs.
Once you got to your other boyfriends, you couldn’t help the smile, you should have known they wouldn’t have forgotten your birthday. It wasn’t in their nature! But still they had you going.
“Happy Birthday, Y/N.” Ignis smiled, as he placed a small tiara in your hair, an on going tradition at this point for you.
“We make you worry birthday lady?” Gladiolus chuckled, handing you a bouquet of flowers.
You gave a playful pout, only to notice the large Chocobo balloons behind the cake, Prompto’s work for sure as you laughed giving a nod.
“We wanted to throw you a huge surprise party.” Prompto replied, finally lowering the camera.
You giggled, “Well I’m surprised! Thank you.”
The next few hours were filled with quite a lot of laughs, and music and cake. You tried to convince Ignis that you could eat at least two tiers by yourself, but he had stated that he didn’t want to be the one in charge of dealing with the aftermath.
By the time that you were all crowded in the car to return home for the night, you found yourself and Prompto covered in glitter. No one was sure of where it came from as Ignis was adamant about there not being any. Noctis somehow managed to get icing under his vest on his dress shirt, Gladiolus suit jacket was missing and Ignis looked perfect as always. You were in the middle of the backseat engulfing poor Prompto and Noctis as they were small enough to allow everyone to sit comfortably enough.
“I’m surprised that you guys managed to keep it a secret. Did you have stuff delivered directly to the palace?” You inquired on the way home for the evening.
“Yes, most were delivered this morning.” Ignis stated, before cutting a playful glare to Prompto in the rearview mirror. “We also made certain that no one else made mention of it.”
“Iggy took my phone.” Prompto pouted playfully, “I wanted to show you all the balloons I had to pick from.”
“Oh, Iggy…” You called, “Where’s the tie I brought.”
“In all honesty I was surprised when I saw, I figured that you would have lit it on fire or thrown it out the car window.”
“I thought about it…” You muttered playfully, getting a laugh.
“You almost lit everyone on fire.” Noctis stated, as you an embarrassed gasped.
“You saw that?”
“Got pictures.” Prompto added, showing you the picture of you crouched ready to fight, Noctis standing slightly behind you looking absolutely terrified. “Good thing Iggy, thought to have everyone below you.”
“How embarrassing would that have been. Crazy lady sets the ballroom on fire on her birthday.” You laughed.
“Well crazy lady,” Gladiolus called turning around to you, “You’ve got one minute left for your birthday, did you have a good one?”
Alright it’s been forever and I’m so nervous but here we go!
Okay, so maybe Iggy isn’t the type of guy some would expect to be cute. Like, yeah he’s one of the most beautiful guys you’ll ever look at but he’s really prim and proper, yanno? Most people wouldn’t initially think “this man does cute things” bc they’re too busy drooling a puddle on the floor or hiding bc he’s just so..... much. But rest assured this man is probably the cutest of all the chocobros.
Has a giant leather book in the glove box of his car full of CDs that he’s been collecting since he was a teenager. There is a wide range of genres because he appreciates all styles of music. His favorites are labeled with a little star. When the boys found out about this they dubbed them “iggy’s special tunes”.
Blushes a LOT. Sometimes he doesn’t even need a reason. His face just does that and it’s adorable.
Has some freckles all of the time, but when he gets some sun they practically multiply. By the end of the summer his whole face and body is speckled with little constellations.
Is a big fan of any fantasy book he can get his hands on. He is also the type of person to highlight his favorite parts of books with a bright, neon highlighter. Thinks folding the pages is sacrilegious though.
Always matches his socks to whatever tie he might be wearing.
Will literally never be caught being impolite. When he’s walking around in public he has his hands clasped behind his back to help avoid bumping into people in the busy crowds. Always calls older women “Miss” no matter how old they are because he was once told that using “ma’am” makes them feel old.
Low key.... will kiss your booboos if you ask.
Sometimes he hides in the bathroom to avoid his very important duties just to play a game on his phone for a few minutes. It’s usually the old snake game or minesweeper. Everyone knows about it but doesn’t have the heart to tell him that they can hear the beeps and blips through the door.
Has cartoon bandaids in his medicine cabinet RIGHT NOW.
Is kind of allergic to cats but loves them so much that he will power through it just to pet one when he sees it.
Gets a lot of headaches so he will ask someone if they can rub his temples for him while he lays down. He also blushes the entire time.
Picks flowers every weekend to put in this really pretty vase he has on his kitchen counter.
If you manage to catch him before his morning coffee, he is a whole different man. He might be a little grumpy, but he is also so SO pouty that it’s a little ridiculous. It’s good that he isn’t aware of it because he could convince the king himself to step down if he used his pout long enough.
Is actually a giant goofball but in a less obvious way than certain other bros. His sense of humor is very dry and sarcastic with a sprinkling of puns here or there. If he gets you with a good zinger he will finger gun at you.
Don’t tell anyone but he loves to ice skate. He took Noct one year when they were younger and it stuck with him ever since. Doesn’t get to go as often as he likes but if you mention it to him he will light up like a Christmas tree. It makes him so happy.
Paints his nails with a clear varnish because he likes the shiny~~ look. Sometimes adds a bit of holo glitter just because. It’s not like anyone at work will see it under his gloves anyway. He does it for him.
When he’s focused he makes this low rumble/ hum noise. He kind of sounds like an engine.
Purposefully makes his voice deeper (if that’s even possible) when he’s talking to people of high ranks. For some reason he thinks it’ll make them like him more? Either way it’s hilarious to hear if you already know what he sounds like.
Peace signs a lot when friends are taking a photo of him. He doesn’t know when or how it started but now he can’t stop. It’s beginning to take a toll on him.
[Hello anon! I do apologize for this taking so long to respond to. Life got very hectic and my writing slowed a bit, but now I’m back in action! I do hope you enjoy this and it is worth the wait! :3]
“Do you need any help with that?” Prompto asked Ignis nervously, approaching the beautiful man as he began to prepare dinner. He glanced back at Noctis and Gladio briefly, noticing how they’re just sitting around the campfire, doing nothing. Prompto hoped that this would be a chance to spend it alone with Ignis, even if they were still technically in a group.
“If you’d like, you can cut the vegetables,” Ignis replied, looking down at the fish he was filleting purposefully. He didn’t just need to focus on what he was doing or risk being cut. He needed to keep himself from staring at Prompto. Too many times he had caught himself staring at the blond, daydreaming about him. It was entirely unlike him, yet Prompto just seemed to have that effect on him. He couldn’t help it.
“Thanks,” Prompto said, his nerves nearly frayed already. He told himself to take a calming and deep breath, but as soon as he did, he realized that he was asking Ignis to help with his cooking. Prompto couldn’t cook, and he felt like he had just set himself up for failure. Grabbing the knife, he looked at the zucchini and squash nervously, wondering exactly how Ignis wanted it cut. “Um…”
“Here,” Ignis offered as he set his own work aside for a moment. “Let me show you.”
Ignis knew that he could just demonstrate, show him how to cut the vegetables and then get back to his own task. Something within him told him that maybe he should do something different, though. Instead, he stands behind Prompto, wrapping his arms around him and gently placing his hand on Prompto’s hand that is holding the knife. His heart is beating rapidly to be so close to him in such an intimate fashion, but he refuses to let this moment go. Even if it was just him, Ignis didn’t want to forget just how warm Prompto’s body felt against his.
Prompto’s heart was beating erratically as Ignis stood behind him, his long fingers on his hand, his chest pressing into his back. Ignis was so warm, so enticing, that Prompto forgot for a brief moment just what he was doing. But then Ignis fixed the knife in his hand and began to show him how to slice the vegetables. Eventually, Ignis let go, his hands on Prompto’s shoulders instead, as Prompto did it himself.
“I think I’m getting the hang of it!” Prompto exclaimed. Ignis admired the near-innocence in his smile, the way his eyes lit up when he did something well. The sense of pure passion that he got every time he was near Prompto was something that made him envious in some aspects, but it also made him want to covet him.
“You’re doing a great job,” Ignis replied, honestly. Prompto’s cheeks flushed red at the compliment. He found himself wrapped up in Ignis’s praise and ended up slicing his finger. “Ouch!”
Prompto dropped the knife on the cutting board, and Ignis immediately grabbed the kitchen towel on his shoulder and wrapped Prompto’s hand with it. He was familiar with many cuts and scrapes from learning how to cook, and he was even more familiar with just how clumsy Prompto could be. With a start, Ignis realized that his arms were still wrapped around Prompto, that he was holding onto his hand with both of his, a towel wrapped around it to staunch the bleeding.
A flush came to Prompto’s cheeks as Ignis held him there, his breath shallow and anxious. Cautiously, uncertainly, he craned his neck and looked up at Ignis, taking stock of how beautiful he really was. His pouting lips, his jade eyes, his tall and lithe frame. Everything about Ignis was just too beautiful, and Prompto imagined what it would be like to kiss him.
Ignis noticed that Prompto’s cheeks were flushed pink, his freckles standing out even more. The firelight behind them danced in Prompto’s blue and violet eyes, and there was a slight tremble in his lips that took Ignis’s breath away. They were so close. All it would take was for him to close the gap, and he began to lean forward, his lips so very close Prompto’s.
“Use a potion!” Noctis called behind them, startling them both out of their reverie and silent worship of each other. Ignis released Prompto, not bothering to turn around, while Prompto looked at Noctis and Gladio with an embarrassed blush. He could’ve sworn that Ignis was so close to kissing him, but it had to be a dream. Right? “If you’re cut just use a potion. There’s plenty.”
“Here,” Ignis offered as he pulled a potion out of the armiger. Prompto turned to him, biting his bottom lip. Had he really almost tried to kiss the most gorgeous man in Eos? Ignis was asking himself the very same question. “May I?”
Prompto nodded. Ignis gingerly took Prompto’s injured hand in his, and he cracked it over it. The potion did its magic, and Ignis placed his free hand on top of Prompto’s. There was a long moment where they just stared at each other, both of them sensing an unspoken attraction that begged them to be closer than just friends. Neither of them were imagining it, and they both knew that they had to discuss this later on in private.
“We’ll continue this conversation when Noctis and Gladio go to bed,” Ignis offered, hoping that he wasn’t just reading into things. He spoke in a hushed tone, making sure only Prompto could hear him.
“Okay,” Prompto replied, his voice just as hushed. Did this mean what he thought it meant? Did that mean Ignis liked him too? His heart soared at the thought, but he reminded himself not to get too far ahead of himself. “I look forward to it.”
“As do I.” Ignis decided to be just a bit daring, and he leaned over and kissed Prompto on his cheek before releasing him. Prompto blushed bright red, his fingertips brushing against his own cheek, trying to understand just how much Ignis longed for him. “I’ll resume dinner now, if you don’t mind.”
“Sure,” Prompto managed. He sat back down in his chair, his heart racing as he kept glancing at Ignis. As Ignis prepared dinner, he kept glancing at Prompto as well, and several times they caught each other’s gaze. There was nothing to be done for it, and they both knew it. They both longed for each other, and now was the time to put it all out there. The thought of kissing each other excited them both, and they knew it was the moment. It was out there now, and Ignis and Prompto both weren’t going to let the chance pass them by. Not anymore.
Oddly enough, I didn’t really struggle with writing this...I struggled with coming up with a title? 🤷♀️
I feel like an apology is in order though. I have pieces in my drafts that I’ve said I’d work on for you guys, but I’ve run into a block with them. I think the only reason I didn’t struggle with this one is because I had a similar dream that I was able to base it off of? It definitely wasn’t a FFXV dream, but I was able to tweak it as I went. I am still working on a sequel to the MIA one, I just apparently needed to get this out of my system first.
You had never formally received training for field work. You were more of a brainiac, someone they kept behind a desk to formulate plans and strategize. Yet... here you were. Right in the middle of an abandoned, dilapidated building. You weren't alone by any means though, there were others spread out. Everyone was in the process of catching their breath and essentially licking their wounds now that the fighting was over.
It hadn't been easy getting this far, especially for you, but there was a sense of accomplishment that filled you with pride. You didn't necessarily want to do this again, but you were glad to know that you could. Maybe now your friends and teammates would stop worrying about you so much. ...probably not, but you were still hopeful.
You were only there because you had refused to let them rescue your boyfriend without your assistance. You just hadn't planned on being there in person at first. The longer it went with him gone, the more worried you got, which is how you ended up sitting on the concrete floor of the building he was supposed to be held in.
The room was filled with the quiet chattering of everyone else as they talked in small groups, cleaning and bandaging wounds as best as they could with what they had on hand. The potions were being saved until it was clear if he would need any; no one had any serious wounds, thankfully. The dust was still settling when a door across the room creaked open, drawing everyone's attention to it. There was a tenseness in the air, no one sure if they needed to be ready for another fight yet, and it quickly disappeared when it was obvious that the person responsible for it held no animosity towards the group present.
You were the first one on your feet, ignoring your aches and wounds and running as quickly as you could towards the figure that had just stepped into view. You called out his name loudly in relief, rushing into his opened arms.
He stumbled back a little when you collided into him but he wrapped his arms tightly around you, pressing his lips to the top of your head. He finally let you go, taking in your appearance and frowning at your visible injuries, his eyes a bit sad. He cupped your face gently, his thumb stroking your cheek lightly, and then he was kissing you softly. When he pulled back from the kiss, he rested his forehead against yours, letting out a sigh. "I've missed you," he whispered, letting go with one hand to tuck some hair behind your ear.
"I've missed you too." You replied quietly, smiling softly at him. Before you could say much more, one of the Kingsglaive members was coming up to you both and lightly slapping your boyfriend on the back in greeting.
"Did you know that this one here isn't half bad at field work?" Your teammate was grinning at you as they spoke. "We would've had a tougher time if not for our mastermind!" You felt your face flush and you shook your head in disagreement, but they left you two alone after another friendly slap on his back and a light, playful punch to your shoulder.
"No matter how good you were... how about we not do this again?" Your boyfriend's tone was a bit playful but you could see the seriousness in his face, making you frown a bit at him.
Nonetheless, you nodded your agreement. "I don't think I wanna make a habit of it or anything," you admitted after a moment. "But what do you say to us getting home since you're free and all?"
He wrapped his arm around your shoulders to pull you into his side as he led the way out, the others all following behind at slightly slower paces. "I am all for that. Why don't you catch me up on everything that's happened over dinner tonight?"
You glanced up at him, thoroughly enjoying the idea. "Please say you want take-out, I don't think I'm up to actually cooking something..." His subsequent laughter had you grinning to yourself as you approached the vehicle you'd be traveling back home in.
Prompto's in on a surprise party for Ignis, and he's been tasked with being the distraction. It's harder than he thought, but he won't let the guys down!
(Forgive the Promnis vibes, I'm trash for them.)
Words: 3073 words (10-25 minutes) | Chocobros
This was it, the big day for their surprise party for Specs... Prompto was in charge of being a distraction, probably the hardest job of the whole thing. He tried telling the others that, but they swore up and down that he could do it, no problem. Riding in the passenger seat next to Iggy like usual, Prompto figured out that was probably because they didn’t wanna do it. Not ‘cause hanging with Iggy was bad or anything, but keeping him distracted when he was designed for laser-like focus was gonna be the hardest thing he’s ever done in his life.
He convinced Ignis to take him along to the Crown City mall half by saying he wanted to check out some places and half by saying he should learn what Ignis does for Noct, so he could be a backup if he needs it. And that only worked by stocking up Iggy points with little favors to make his job easier. Y’know, to prove he could be a good backup!
Which was kinda part of his day-to-day anyway. Iggy worked so hard doing stuff for them all the time, and Gladio and Noct didn’t really do that whole ‘helping with dinner’ thing. But hey, that’s what made it such a good cover story!
“We’ve arrived,” Ignis announced and the doors automatically locked once he put the car in park. The morning sun gave a little extra warmth to the winter air, but he couldn’t complain about the cold when it meant Ignis broke out his sharp, double-breasted wool peacoat. All his friends were supermodels, but he had to give it to Ig, he looked extra good dressed for cold weather. Like the Six knew it when they set his birthday in stone.
“Gotcha,” Prompto answered, springing out of the car with his camera around his neck. Just in case! Never know when you’ll see a shot you just got to take, and it was a great reason to draw out their trip if he had to. Ignis always stopped to wait when Prompto wanted to take pictures, and he was pretty patient about it too.
And really, Prompto was banking on that. They still had to decorate, put the gifts together, make a cake… And they hadn’t even started wrapping yet. Leaving all that to Noct and the big guy felt like a recipe for disaster, but all he could do now was his part. Going at a light jog to keep up with Iggy’s longer, purposeful stride, Prompto followed him into the Crown City mall.
“So! What’s our first stop?” There wasn’t much of a crowd, since it was mid-week. No luck there. Just made Prompto think about how he wished there was more color in their uniform.
“We’ll be visiting just the one shop: a specialty dining store,” Ignis answered and led the way. “There are certain cooking instruments designed for the road that will prove essential on our journey.”
“Hey, Iggy!” Prompto raced ahead of him, eager to get started ‘cause this was gonna eat up hours. …Okay, maybe one hour. For his first distraction, Prompto picked up a cup-like thing with a little curve for pouring, some weird plunger thing, and measuring lines on the side. Turning around with a bounce in his step, he showed the tool to Ignis. “What’s this gadget do?”
“Hm?” Ignis strode over to the table Prompto picked out. Even here, he did the driving and pushed the cart along too. There was a lotta stuff here he didn’t recognize, so Prompto had plenty of ammo to keep his attention. “Ah, that is a milk frother, primarily used for lattes and other such beverages where foam is a key part of the experience.”
“Right, right. Y’know, I’ve never had a latte.” He put the frother down by the others, twisting it so it’d match its family of frothers before he took off after Ignis. “Think you could use it in hot chocolate?”
“You certainly can. I’ll show you sometime.” Ignis had a hint of a smile as he wound artfully through the rows and rows of cooking stuff that was either high-end normal stuff or specialty stuff.
“That’d be real sweet of you,” Prompto shot back a pun, giggling while he followed after Ignis.
Maybe if he wasn’t so caught up looking at grills, Iggy might’ve given as good as he got. Probably better, he did a lot more reading than Prom and that gave him more material to work with. Comparing little portable grills to each other with wordless hums and silent notetaking on his phone, Prompto was pretty sure he could do a dance and get nothing from the royal advisor. Or just a quick glance, anyway.
“Hey, uh, Igster,” Prompto ventured an interruption when he looked just about done. “Isn’t this thing just a slab of salt?” He held up a swirled dark and light pink rectangle about two or three inches thick labelled with just ‘mineral salt block’ on the side.
“It is far more than that.” Ignis finished up a note on his phone, picking up a boxed version of the grill he settled on and put it in the cart. “That is for grilling or stovetop cooking for the right stove, and it imparts a lightly salty flavor with the various health benefits of its mineral composition to—” Ignis sighed, picking up on the overwhelmed look on Prompto’s face. Probably. “It’s good for the food and for those who eat it.”
“Ah, gotcha. So Noct’d hate it, huh? Too healthy.” He put the block down, smiling at Ignis’ laugh.
“It doesn’t feature the same textural concerns Noct has with beans, but… I suspect you may be correct.”
Of course Prom got a text right then, and he hoped it was Gladio or Noct saying everything was fine and ready to go. Pulling his phone out of his pocket with only a little extra flair, he brought up the message from Noctis.
Need more time.
Only one way to answer that. Tossing in an exasperated emoji, he sent back just what he thought of that.
y tho
And the picture he got from Noct was so depressing, it was truly a loss for mankind. What was once gold cake was a bit more brown-and-black-ish, and big chunks of it were still stuck on the pan while the rest was somewhere off-frame. Uh, he hoped.
Noooooct
Thank Gladio.
smh how much time u need
A few seconds turned to a minute and Prompto kept checking his screen every few minutes before Ignis finally spoke up.
“Prompto, do pay attention,” he advised.
“Right, gotcha.” Pockets his phone for the last time. Left on read by Noct! If it wasn’t for Iggy’s birthday, he’d be in for a parade of emojis until Prompto got an answer. Or maybe not, but it sounded kinda fun to do. Trotting to catch up to Ignis again, he started up conversation. “So, you do all this by yourself?”
“Typically, yes,” he answered, though he sounded pleased rather than put out. Even looked the part smirking like that when he pushed up his glasses. “Gladio has little patience for it and Noctis has other responsibilities. It’s only natural this should be entrusted to me.”
“Yeah, but on your birthday?” Oops. He was so not supposed to say that, and Prompto’s stilted laugh when he figured out his slip-up didn’t do anything to throw Ignis off his scent. He even stopped to look at Prompto, examining him for answers. Or maybe it just felt like that and Prompto was worrying too much! He just to chill like Noct said to. Yeah, just… chill.
“I didn’t realize you knew.”
“Yeah, well, y’know.” Crap, he was very un-chill right now. Prompto shrugged, eyeing the shelves next to him for a way out of this conversation. “Noct brought it up, and I guess it stuck.” Gotta find a distraction and quick. It’d just buy time, Iggy’d never forget a slip-up like that, but time was all he needed. Prompto snatched up a waffle iron at the end of a really long stick from a display by the camping stuff. “Oh em gee, check this out! Waffles at camp, can you imagine?”
“If you’re willing to make them one at a time,” he teased with that slight smile, turning back to push the cart ahead. That’s right, Iggy, focus on the to-do list and forget that little blunder from Prompto.
“Aw, I’d never keep up with the big guy,” he mourned, dejectedly returning the specialty cookware to its box and catching up to the birthday guy again.
“Indeed not.”
After gathering the rest of their supplies in preparation for the coming trip in the warmer weather, Ignis checked off the final item in his phone.
“And that concludes our shopping for the time being.” The cart was expertly packed just so everything fit in and was even sorted for putting on the belt in an orderly fashion at checkout. Seriously, Ignis’ brain should be melting from all the stuff he thought ahead on. But Prompto was keeping up with him for now, anyway—maybe he really could be halfway-decent at this back-up thing.
“Really? You do a ton, but you really make it look easy. And that’s not just flattery to distract you, I mean it!” Dammit, he was getting bad at this. Thankfully, Ignis pretended not to notice it. Probably. He doubted he really didn’t realize. Ignis, miss something? Next, it’d rain ice cream!
“I should thank you.” With the last item rung through checkout (Prompto didn’t even dare to look at the total), it was as good a time as any, but so weird. Yeah, Prompto got it, he’d do the same if he were Iggy, but… He laughed, shrugging it off. Like always, Ignis kept going undaunted. “As much as I don’t anticipate I’ll need a substitute for my duty to Noctis, it never hurts to be prepared.”
“Hey, uh. No problem! Least I can do, really.” Prompto was spared being even more awkward somehow when Ignis gave his attention to checkout. Plus, it got him a second to text Noct without spectacles maybe seeing what he was up to if he didn’t figure it out yet.
omw home
Not yet.
Prompto let out a groan, slumping in defeat. The shopping trip was over, Noct! What now?
“Stocking the cart might go more smoothly if your hands were free.” Uh oh, that was the informative warning tone. Ignis was audio-coded to hint at what he was thinking and Prompto was getting a code yellow.
“Uh, right.” Putting his phone away, he helped moved the grill and cooking stuff he didn’t exactly recognize into the cart. They were almost done and Prompto blurted out his only idea before he had a chance to think about it enough to stop. “Actually, wanna go someplace cool after this?”
“Pardon?”
“Y’know, ‘cause it’s your birthday! There’s guys who can take this stuff back to the castle, yeah?” He really hoped Ignis would buy this. He couldn’t be the one who screwed up and ruined the surprise, the guys were counting on him! “Isn’t there a place you’ve always wanted to check out, but never got to?”
“Not especially,” Ignis answered after a brief pause. That mildly wide-eyed look was way too caught off guard… Could it be Iggy never thought about stuff he wanted to do before? Seriously? Prompto wanted to not believe it, but with all the stuff he’s always doing for everyone else under the sun, it’s, y’know… Possible. If not super likely.
“Then I’ll show you around. C’mon, it’s just one day, not even. Two hours.” Ignis pulled the cart to the side and out of the way, which wasn’t a yes but it wasn’t a no yet either. He could still get away with this! Prompto flashed the smile that usually worked on Noct, tossing in an eager bounce to cover his bases. “Birthday trip? Birthday trip!”
“There’s snow outside, Prompto.” This answer was just a little bit weaker, not reinforced with the typical Ignis brand crisp certainty that came with every sentence. And what kinda sharpshooter would he be if he didn’t take this opening?
“So? We’ve got boots.” Prompto bent his knee and held one foot up like he needed to demonstrate. Paired with the grin, he could tell—he was winning this round.
“I have to return to the castle for dinner preparation.” Ignis’ gaze darted to the shop windows and the city guard posted outside. The ones that could take all this back to the castle for them and buy the guys some time before Iggy came back.
“How’s this—you go on the birthday trip you so deserve, let me take a couple cool shoots to remember it by, and I’ll help make dinner.” He offered his hand to Ignis, leaning into his field of vision to get his attention. “Deal?”
With a sigh and a signal the guards outside, Ignis gave in. “Very well.”
“Woohoo! You’re not gonna regret it.”
-----------
After their side trip, they had to get someone to give them a ride and man, was it weird to have Ignis riding in the back seat of a car next to Prompto in calm quiet. Not a bad, awkward quiet—he was so used to those—but chill. He was usually in front too so Gladio could get the extra leg room, so at least being next to Iggy was just like always. Prompto dug out his phone again, sending one last warning text. They’d gotten another hour or hour and a half outta this, he hoped they figured it out.
“When you said cool pictures, I hadn’t thought you meant literally on the ice.” Ignis only just glanced his way, his face still slightly red from spending time in the cold February air.
“Hey, that pond is a prime photo op!” He slipped his phone into his pocket, swapping it out for his camera. “Check it out,” he offered, bringing up a photo of Ignis in the light, warm glow of the late afternoon winter sun glittering off the ice, a faint plume of his breath in front of him and a delicate blush to his cheeks. Say what you want about the royal advisor, but it’d better be a compliment—he was gorgeous. “My best one yet.”
“Oh, so you collect them?”
“Ah, well, y’see, I—” Shoot. The car was slowing down and he caught a peek of the castle entrance. Thank the Six! “I take pictures of all you guys, yeah? Hey, look, we’re here!” Shuffling out his side, half-stumbling out, Prompto fled to safety. Almost over, this was the home stretch!
-----------
“They keep falling!”
“And whose fault is that?” Familiar voices reached Ignis and Prompto as they worked their way back to one of the smaller, casual family dining rooms in the castle.
“The tape.” Ah, classic Noct. Ignis turned to Prompto with a questioning brow and he just smiled back, nodding him to go first. Nothing left to hide now! Ignis pulled the door open and stepped into the room, which… kinda looked like elementary schoolers decorated it, but hey. Not everyone was a perfect party coordinator like Iggy.
“Gladio? Noctis.” Was that disbelief or patient warnings at the sight of lopsided streamers hanging all the way over to Noctis, who stood on a chair taping the last corner up. For the millionth time, from the sounds of it. Mostly decently wrapped presents sat on one end of the elegant dining table and at the other were three whole separate two-layer cakes and enough fancy takeout for a family of six. “What is…?”
“Happy birthday, Specs,” Noctis said, smiling as he stepped down from the chair and came over with Gladio.
“Didn’t think we forgot, did you?” Gladio clapped his hand on Ignis’ shoulder, his too-perfect smile coming as naturally as ever. Maybe a little more, even.
“I… Suppose this was what the escapades were all about,” he remarked, glancing back at Prompto.
“Whoa, three cakes?!” Gotta change that subject, Ignis, they didn’t know about any escapades! It was just supposed to be errands. But it was their fault he had to draw it out, wasn’t it? Chill, Prompto—chill. “All this food… I’m just gonna have to run more tomorrow.”
“After running around all day today too,” Gladio joked, thankfully getting the hint. Probably.
“What’s this about escapades?” Noct was not so merciful, and that is why Gladio got all the ladies, Prompto thought to himself. Okay, yeah, it was always great to see him smile, just—not at Prompto’s expense!
“Hey, you guys told me to keep him busy!”
“And you did very well. I haven’t been ice skating since Noctis was a boy and that pond was rather scenic.” Ignis to the rescue even on his birthday, what a saint. He did fall into a thoughtful silence, looking like he was trying to find life’s answers in the present pile. “Though I had figured you out by then, of course. I am curious why you kept me preoccupied for so much longer than necessary.”
“Gladio wrecked the cake.”
“Okay, Princess,” he dismissed. “Told you to set the timer.”
“And I told you I was busy.”
“Never heard you.”
“Getting old already,” Noctis said like he was in mourning, giving as good as he got and ducking out of a headlock from Gladio by just a hair. He’d better be faster than Gladio after all that childhood of training with him.
“Regardless of the kitchen mishaps I’ll contend with later,” Ignis got their attention back. “Thank you. I admit, I am at a loss for what else I might say.”
“No big deal,” Noctis answered, obviously proud of himself. “You could start by having dinner. I’m dying to try these skewers,” he suggested, leading the way to the meal.
“Speaking of that, I do believe Prompto owes me a standing offer to help with dinner.” Ignis picked up his own plate and shot Prompto a smile. “An awfully easy suggestion when you know there’s takeout on the table, hm?”
“You don’t have to resort to birthday blackmail, dude. I got your back,” Prompto promised. And snagged a plate of his own, he had to get to this food before the big guy got it all. “Still, though. Uh, happy birthday, Ignis.”
FFXV’s Scenario 01: ‘When they steal you a kiss’ Prompto Ver.
—Good morning…—you murmured, rubbing one of your eyes.
—Good morning, ___________—Noctis answered, sitting in the living room with the other guys—It seems you didn’t sleep very well.
—On the contrary…—you shook your head, taking the seat next to Gladio—I slept very, very, very well.
—You see? I told you that you would feel the difference between a motel bed and a hotel bed—Prompto smiled, crossing his arms.
—The Altissia Hotel is a different thing than the Lestalleum Hotel—Gladio said, looking at every detail of the walls.
—But that doesn’t mean that is a bad hotel…—Noctis spoke, defending the Lestalleum hotel.
—Okay, let’s not get into discussion—Prompto shook his head and arms—Iggy, our itinerary today?
—Well…—the man with the glasses began to say, checking his mobile phone—We have two days before Noctis has his negotiation with Mrs. Camelia
—That lady doesn’t give me any security…—Gladio commented.
—She’s protecting her capital—Noct shrugged—Anyway, does that mean we can explore Altissia?
—Indeed—Ignis answered, revealing a small curve in his mouth—It’s my moment to buy ingredients of a different quality…
—You look pretty excited —Gladio commented—Well, then… will we be all day together?
—I think that we can eat together and then everyone goes wherever he wants—Prompto said.
—It’s a good idea…I’ll see if I can fish from a gondola—Noctis said and everyone laughed in their ways.
—I don’t think you can do that, you’ll have to pay a lot to the main in charge—you said, laughing at the king’s ideas.
—Well, I’m the King of Insomnia, he should leave me—with that he said, everyone started making noises, and Ignis sighed for that comment.
—That is completely abuse of power—Gladio said.
—You should be ashamed Noctis Lucis Caelum—Prompto threatened laughing.
—What would your father say about you, Noct?—you disapproved, shaking your head.
—Ok, ok… Let’s go to Maagho—said the King before you continued to bother him.
Altissia was really beautiful, it was something you shouldn’t recognize, because you saw it. The crystal clear water everywhere, the jewelry stalls, the floating shops, the gondolas… It was just wonderful; you loved it.
Traveling in a gondola was one of the best parts of begin in the capital, besides seeing how people walked enjoying the beauty that surrounded them, you always liked to observe other people and in a moment you saw yourself trapped by the aura of those four guys who had a couple of time traveling with you. Great friends and companions.
—Hey, ___________, are you here?—Gladio called you, then you reacted to shake your head, you had been watching them for a long time.
—I-I…. was… spacing out?—You asked a little nervous, beginning to blush.
—You are blushing!—Prompto said, pointing your face.
—Leave her…—Noctis defend you, hitting Prompto on the head.
—I, I was… just watching you, and then… I thought how much I like to share with you guys, you are a treasure for me—you began to say, looking at each of the boys and giving them a bright smile.
—W-Woah… —Gladiolus only made that sound—It’s the cutest thing that someone has said to me ever.
—Are you serious?!—Noctis exclaimed mockingly.
—I’m sorry, your majesty—Gladio rolled his eyes—People didn’t praise me every day.
—Gladio…—Ignis murmured arranging his glasses.
—Ok, ok… —the big boy grumbled—After eating with you guys, I’ll stay at the bar.
—My idea of fishing from a gondola stills—Noctis said.
—I’ll look for some small things—you said, after all you were a girl and you loved to have some accessories.
They were all naming parts of the landscape that attracted their attention, creating a tourist atmosphere, however, the boy with freckles seemed absorbed in looking at your profile that was watching the citizens of Altissia, he pressed his camera in his hand just for a moment. I knew he could take a picture of you and that you wouldn’t be angry, but what bothered him was the fact that he hadn’t take a photograph of your smile.
—Prompto? What will you do?—the cook asked to the photographer.
—E-Eh? … I think I’ll for some new parts for my camera, or some old-vintage cameras—the boy answered, quickly returning to reality.
—Oh! Then you can come with me—you said, taking the shoulder of the boy who turned to see you and nodded, giving you a small smile.
—You must be careful; we don’t know if we are safe here—Gladio warned.
—Ah, I hope so… I must say I’m a little tired—Noctis commented and then yawned, then everyone in the gondola yawned.
—Woah, it really is mirror—Prompto said laughing.
—We’ve arrived…—Ignis interrupted.
Going to Maagho was something more homey and magical, besides being almost under the structures of the city, it was also floating, rather it was like a small port, but that didn’t take away the interesting. Weskham always received them cordially, willing to give them information of the places where they could find things they needed. It was a cozy place, where they could eat while listening to the stories of the host and cook of the post.
—I could do this when we camp…—Ignis murmured, while looking at the plate of the ‘Fettini di Cernia’
—It seems so delicate—Prompto murmured, then grabbed his camera and took a picture, but he almost drops it when he hears a sound, better said a sound from your mouth.
—Hey, hey! Hahahahaha—Gladio started to laugh—_______, watch out to make those noises here, people could misinterpret it.
—W-What? It was very loud?—You asked, feeling like your face was slowly turning red.
—If you take a man to sleep with you and make a sound like that, surely the man will be doing his work very well—Weskham said, making everyone bursts out laughing, except you, who only managed to get more and more red.
—I’m sorry…—you apologized, looking down—It’s because is so delicious.
—Don’t panic—Noctis covered his smile with one of his hands—Your culinary orgasm is safe with us.
—Forget it, please—you begged, eating another portion of the dish, and this time covering your mouth immediately.
—___________, you’re one in a million, really!—Gladio let out a laugh.
—Il will be difficult to do it—Prompto commented laughing.
—Dude, sometimes you sound so perverted—Noctis said, and the now the laughter went against the blond one.
—Enough, I didn’t say it was that intention!—Prompto claimed, red to the ears.
—Calm down Prompto, it doesn’t bother me, at all…—you said with a smile, hoping that they stopped bothering the boy—I’m neither the first nor the last girl that you will listen.
And they all lowered their heads with a red tone on their cheeks, the boys have never had the opportunity to talk about those things in your presence, it’s still like a taboo subject when you’re present.
—Well, Weskham, thank you very much for the food…I’ll start walking, Altissia is very big and I have a lot to bargain with—you said, leaving your seat and placing a couple of guiles on the table—There’s my money.
—Oh! W-Wait, ___________!—Prompto took a quick sip of his glass of juice and let it behind with some money, catching you in the gondola harbor.
—We’ll communicate! —Gladio shouted in your direction, both of you raised your thumbs.
Again you were in a gondola, and you couldn’t feel more absorbed in this amazing scenery; the light had gone down and the lanterns were starting to light little by little, it was time for the night to come. Everything in Altissia seemed to become even more beautiful when the lights appeared, the reflections of the streetlights made it seem that the water under the gondola was similar to a sea of fireflies.
The beauty of Altissia always blinded you from the other, to see how some blue eyes looked at you and every detail of your person, from head to toe. Prompto knew you were a pretty girl, but seeing the lights of Altissia enhanced your beauty and caused havoc in him. From your smile early today, the culinary orgasm you had, to the beauty and delicacy of your profile. Obviously, he wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to take a couple of photos, but he hears Noctis’s words echoed in his head.
—…Hey, _________—Prompto pronounced your name, with a different tone of voice—About what Noct said…
—Did it really affect you?—You asked turning to see the blond boy, he lowered his head—Let’s see…—and the you approached the boy and took a seat next to him—It didn’t bother me, seriously, there are things that… sometimes girls likes to ear.
—Really?—Prompto asked raising his eyebrows and opening his eyes wide.
—Yeah, of course… And the fact that you said that you won’t be able to forget my sound, makes me feel confident, but sh… It’s a secret—You whispered at the final, winking and placing your finger over your lips—You can’t tell anyone.
—O-Ok… I won’t—he stutters a little, and thanks to the moment when the gondola goes under a bridge, the blonde and his blushes went completely unnoticed for you.
—We have arrived—said the gondolier.
Your journey through Altissia began in the stores that had appliances, some had treasures that were very valuable, antique vases with gold details, silver frames, antique mirrors, vinyl players… It was like traveling through time. However, Prompto had not found any old camera, or spare parts. Although he wasn’t very upset about it either, because he occasionally took a photograph of some object he liked.
—What do you think?—You asked the blond guy, placing an open fan on your face, beginning to blink many times.
—A damsel—said Prompto, bowing in front of you, starting to follow your game.
—Oh, what a gentleman…—You followed, offering your hand to him, and as soon as Prompto knelt he left a kiss on the back of your hand.
You both laughed, thanking the vendor of the store, and then getting out of it and continuing with the search. Apparently there weren’t many cameras available for what you could see in the streets, but Prompto didn’t look annoyed or disappointed, in fact; He had a thousand photo to take in the streets of Altissia.
—Miss, sorry… Could you help me to see the map of the place?—and old and small woman asked, near you, interrupting your walk with Prompto.
—O-Oh… sure—you answered, then you take the arm of the blue-eyed boy—Prompto, I’ll be back soon… —You said suddenly, and the boy nodded, taking pictures again with his camera.
The lends worked perfectly despite the number of photos he had taken and the trips it had endured. The photos went one after the other, Altissia was a beautiful sector and that inspired Prompto even more to take more photos, until his camera stopped in front of a jewelry stand. And there he stayed, seeing a beautiful necklace. A blue diamond that looked like the living reflection of the Altissia sea.
On the other side, you were helping Mrs. Rosea, who had introduced herself. She explained that she was looking for a gift for her husband, who like gifts from ancient times, relics… And you remembered the shop that with Prompto had visited previously, it didn’t take long to find the store, as you were moving along the catwalks and stairs of Altissia. Mrs. Rosea seemed to hold the rhythm well, but equally you waited for her or slowed your steps.
When you arrived at the store, you greeted the seller again, who was busy with some boxes, you didn’t want to bother him and took the little old woman to see the items you had previously checked with your blond friend, and when the seller saw you were approaching the sector where he was, he stopped you with his hand then he took your arm.
—W-What happens?—You asked a little scared by his reaction.
—I have something for you—the salesman said, dedicating a smile.
It passed about thirty minutes, your breath was broken while you run between the streets and the people of Altissia, you really hoped that Prompto hadn’t been far away, because finding him it would be only possible by talking on the phone. But to your relief, when you were almost arriving at another gondola port, you saw him. There he was, looking at the Altissia sea from that port, with his hands in his pockets.
—Prompto, I’m sorry!—You apologized with a nervous smile.
—Oh, ________! Finally you arrive, I thouth I’d see you again at the hotel—the blond boy said, only taking one hand out of his pockets—Did you help her?
—Take it! TA-DAH!—You exclaimed, showing in front of him a model of a camera ALPA 12 SAW, a relic of the year 1942.
And Prompto’s eyes shone like those of a child at Christmas when he was the object in your hands, before being able to take that piece of art, he hastened to leave something inside his pocket, and as if his life depended on it he hurried to take the camera, it seemed that his finger caressed it with love and respect.
—You can have a photographic orgasm right now—You said to annoy him and he showed his teeth in a smile—It comes with a bag to carry it.
—Really, thank you very much… How many guiles did it cost?—And after that question you shook your head—Oh, come on… You must have pay a fortune.
—We will take about it later, because I think it’s time to go, we’ve seen many things… although I didn’t find any kind of necklace, but Mrs. Rosea was very nice and cute—You related to Prompto, who was now putting the camera inside the matching bag.
—Wait a moment, I also have something for you—Prompto interrupted, showing the palms of his hands in front of your face, stopping your actions and your words.
You didn’t say anything until the freckled boy did his part, when the boy took from his pocket that necklace with a drop-shaped diamond, with a color as blue as the sea of Altissia and as blue as… his own eyes, you were completely speechless. You only covered your mouth with both hands.
—T-Thank you, really… It’s beautiful—You said, looking that masterpiece in Prompto’s hands.
—May I…?—Prompto asked, and his gestures made you understand what he had said.
You proceeded to take your hair, removing it from your neck to make a kind of tail that you held with your right hand.
—Are you really sure about this?—Prompto was a little nervous, you nodded.
—Come on, nothing bad will happen…—You muttered, revealing your naked neck when you turned on your feet in front of the boy, showing your back.
The cold of the diamond hit your skin gently when the boy managed to position the collar on the top of your torso, finally using extreme care to close the clasp, causing a rubbing between his fingers and your skin. And that caused a chill in you.
—…Come on, let me see it—Prompto said, expectantly.
—Are you going to take a picture…?—you asked, turning slowly, finding a boy who was now taking over his camera again, to take a picture of you.
—Make sure to s…—he was saying, until he raised his gaze and there he found your smile with closed eyes, the same one that you had given to the four of them earlier that day.
But this time you were blushing and he can see that.
Prompto could feel the warmth of your cheeks as one of his hands reached your face, causing uncertainty in you, causing you to open your eyes to see how the boy’s eyelashes were showing off in front of you. The blond boy had closed his eyes and rather, now he was kissing you with the same delicacy that had previously showed, caressing the camera that you gave him, even more.
You could see how everything around you became slower, warmer, more proper as those lips were over yours, maybe it was the romantic atmosphere of Altissia, or just the tender touch of that boy who until now was kissing you, but the moment seemed to start cracking when Prompto opened his eyes and saw yours directly.
—Y-You took the picture?—Your question was a whisper when Prompto walked away. What a stupid question you though later.
—Something better…—the blond boy whispered—I caught the moment myself…
And then the phone rang for both of you, Ignis was calling you, and in the case of Prompto: Noctis. It was time to go back to the hotel. The boy clicked his tongue and the looked at you with his gift in your neck, the magic of Altissia helped him to be a little braver. And he was happy with that, for now.
