FicSnips Day 9: Air

This one was a gift for the amazing @whateversawesome, who first encouraged me to write fic for SxF and listened to my ideas for Orpheus.

I'm generally not into AUs, but I do like scenarios that are closer to canon, especially the "Twilight and Thorn Princess meet before Strix" trope. I just loved writing all the flirtatiousness and intrigue of meeting a very dangerous (and attractive) operative of unknown affiliation for the first time.

@unhappy-sometimes also made art for this fic! It's amazing!

I am thinking about writing a sequel to this fic one day, once I finish another one of my WIPs, perhaps!

FicSnip day 3: A Flower Without Scent that Attracts The Birds

Jealous Loid, anyone?

After we get Fiona and the Tennis arc, I'm hooked with the "Jealous Loid" concept. Because it'll be super complicated ala Twilight.

But there is one glaring problem with jealous Loid: Yor never feel comfortable to be close to any man (stranger), and thus Loid will never have any reason to be threathened.

In this fic, I created an OC who was Yor's mentor in the Garden, which will make the situation a bit 'canon'-like.

During this time, I was greedy and wanted to try my hand at Coffee Shop prompt and Flower meaning prompt. so yeah 🤭

At the end I really have fun writing this fic. Writing jealous Loid is so much fun 😂🥰

Summary: Loid disguised himself as a barista for a mission to monitor a target WISE had suspected may disrupt a peace treaty between the two countries. Once again he was amazed by Handler's instinct to predict a potential disruption to Operation Strix. He scowled. How could his target know his wife's preferences better than him? And how could a single scentless flower from that man make his wife smile all day long while a bouquet of flowers from him couldn't?

FicSnip Day 6: In the downpour

OH BOY THIS FIC!

So, this was a fic I wrote for kiss day a few years ago. The art that inspired it is PHENOMENAL! Please go give the artist some love!

I'm...not particularly good at writing kiss scenes, but I thought I'd try my hand at it again. So I searched for some art inspiration and the words flowed from there.

This was a lot of fun! (And hilariously this was one of TWO kiss fics I wrote in the span of...I think it was 3 hours? Something like that 🤣)

Another snippet from my current main WIP, it's only me, what have you got to lose?

After receiving word from Garden about a plot to kidnap Anya, Yor races home to gather what she needs to protect Anya.

Instead, home feels distinctly strange, with suspicious sounds coming from behind Loid's closed door. Opening the door on silent hinges, Yor finds Loid with his back to her: the suspicious sounds coming from whatever he’s doing with what sounds like a gun — ?!

This was one of the first scenes I imagined for the fic: I wanted to know why Yor would ever knowingly draw a weapon on Loid/Twilight, and it turns out it's because he pulls out one on her first! (To be fair to Twilight, his initial reaction was also entirely reflexive) I'm pretty pleased with how the action reads here and throughout the opening scenes of this fic overall. I’m looking forward to writing more ☺️
