hello... it has been a long while since you sent this in but i hope you are still around to receive it! thanks for all the patience from everyone while i took a break from writing <3
the nightmare was senseless, all fleeting scenes of half-realized cruelty and unwillingly abandoned hope. its incoherence did nothing to quell the deep unease it left in your stomach as you startled back into the waking world. the rough ground beneath you and the now-stinking wool blanket twisted between your legs were little comfort, and the thundering of you heart could not be eased until you scrambled up and towards the low burning fire.
you didn't care much who was on watch; you could make out the tilt of his head towards you, but no defining features between the pressing dark and unshaken bleariness of your vision. whoever it was, he would be a body to sit next to, and that would be enough.
the quiet call of your name in an easily recogonized voice revealed to you your companion. fili's face and dirtied blonde braids came dimly into focus as you blinked heavily. you took his outstretched hand with little more thought than instinct when he reached for you in a polite, but caring gesture. he had not missed the slight stumble in your steps. he did not let go until you were settled mere inches from his side.
your breathing was too loud against the silence for you to have been woken by more innocent discomforts and was all too easily heard by the both of you. but you did not confess to your rather unpleasant night terrors, so fili held his tongue. he liked to think he was not completely tactless, and you, in all your strength and pride, would not have liked his uninvited concern.
still, you calmed quickly with the sleepy crackle of embers and almost-touch of his shoulder to yours. no matter how brash, flirtatious, or fiercely protective fili could be, he understood the need for silence when it arose. he knew patience enough to let you speak first.
indeed, it was patience he practiced as he waited for you; he would've passed watch duty on to dwalin and gone to bed ages before you spoke should you have stayed asleep and content. he found it quite worth it to sacrifice that sleep when you finally opened your sternly pursed lips.
your voice was not unsteady, only quiet out of curtesy for the sleeping party. "i will admit that i am glad it was you, on watch. i would have been glad of any company on this night, but think i should have had to bear overly concerned questions or perhaps an uncomfortable silence from some of the others, however well intentioned."
"i should be glad as well, then, that my silence has been neither uncomfortable nor unwelcome," he murmured, sincere and entirely gracious. your words would have been an easy target in the range of his penchant for teasing, but he continued to impress with a manner entirely appropriate for your currently subdued state.
"not just your silence, but your presence itself, fili, has been most welcome. i thank you."
"i have done nothing which requires your gratitude, my friend." his hand found its way to your knee, and lingered until you spoke again.
"dawn is still hours away. let us rest."
he obliged, glad only because it meant you were feeling well enough to attempt sleep. perhaps whatever soured your dreams would banish itself until at least the rise of the sun if he faked the existence of a large rock under his beaten cot to take a place closer to your own.
[ IMAGINE ] : You are Bilbo's niece. During the Dwarves' meeting in the hobbit's kitchen you feel the eyes of Fili, the golden-haired prince, on you the whole time.
[ A/N ] : The photos do not belong to me. English is not my native language. Don't hesitate to use this idea in your story.
[ ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ♡ ] : As the warm glow of the fireplace flickered and danced, casting playful shadows across the walls of Bag End, I could feel an unfamiliar flutter in my chest. The dwarfs gathered around the table, their animated voices filling the air with a raucous din, each one vying for attention as they plotted their grand adventure. Yet amidst the chaos, it was the piercing gaze of Fili, golden-haired prince of the dwarfs, that ensnared me entirely.
I could hardly manage to focus on the scheming behind the treasure map sprawled amidst the scattered crumbs of my baked goods. Every time my eyes wandered to Fili, a jolt of electricity surged through me. His striking blue eyes, reminiscent of a clear sky, seemed to hold a world of unspoken words. Whenever our gazes met, a sudden hush enveloped the festivities, a momentary pause in the raucous laughter that echoed around us.
Fili’s expression was intent, brow slightly furrowed as if he were weighing not just the plans laid before us, but also the unchartered territory of feelings that simmered in the air between us. I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks, warmth seeping through the layers of my woolen dress, as he held my gaze a beat longer than necessary. It felt as if time had suspended itself, the raucous chatter fading into a gentle hum.
I couldn’t help but steal glances at him as Thorin boomed about the need for courage in the face of danger; my heart raced when he flashed a brief, roguish smile my way, one that sparkled brighter than the gold they sought. There was a wildness in his spirit, a flickering flame of mischief that both frightened and excited me. I longed to draw closer, to reach beyond the borders of our kinship, but the gathering kept us anchored like ships bound to the shore.
The air grew thick with tension—an undercurrent that crackled with possibility. As Kili animatedly recounted tales of their exploits, I caught Fili’s gaze once more. There was a softness in his expression, an unguarded moment that hinted at a connection far more profound than that of mere adventurers united by a cause.
As the meeting wore on, my thoughts drifted effortlessly to the path ahead—the journeys we would undertake, the challenges we might face, and the promise of adventures filled with laughter and danger. Yet beneath it all lay an intimate truth: no matter where our paths led, the memory of his gaze lingered like an enchanting melody, echoing in the deepest recesses of my heart.
In that moment, as Fili continued to look my way, I knew that this was just the beginning—a spark ignited in the shadows of Bag End, waiting for its chance to blaze into something wondrously bright.
The day had just started, so here you were getting ready to face it. You had washed yourself quickly and put on your undergarments before tackling what was the length and unruliness of your bedhead; luckily, the braid you always plaited it in to sleep helped you. Now had come the time to finally dress yourself. Your dress of the day had been laid out, ready to be put on. However, you were quick to find out that this one wasn't as easy as it seemed. So when Fili came out of your bathchamber, you let out a sigh of relief. "Fili," You called.
He was quick to respond, easily finding his way to you. "What is it, Givashel?"
"Could you help me, please?" You held up the dress in your arms.
A smile found its way to his lips. "Of course," He spoke before taking the garment from you, the weight of the fabric nothing to him as he almost ordered you around to get it on you. Fili's method was quick and effective as it had you twirling in the dress in no time.
"Thank you," You spoke as you came to a stop.
"Any time," He smiled.
If you do requests, I would love a Fili one! Specifically, his hobbit gf who has short hair tells him she’s going to grow it out so that he can finally put it in braids <33
A/N: this was such a cute request, thank you so much for sending it in (and your patience!)! Hope you like it!

Always yours
“You’re staring again,” she said without taking her eyes off the page of her book. As handsome and charming as her companion was, the story she was reading was too intriguing and she really wanted to know what the heroine would do next.
But there came no response to her comment and eventually her curiosity got the best of her. She peeked over the edge of the paper, straight into the bright blue eyes of her intended.
“See? I knew I was right,” she teased with a smile.
Fíli chuckled, the sound reverberating in his chest, making her smile even wider. There truly wasn’t a lovelier sound.
“Such beauty as yours is meant to be admired, ibrizinlêkhê, you cannot fault me for doing so.”
She twirled a lock of hair around her finger as she resumed her reading, a blush colouring her cheeks at the given praise. Even after months of courting she still wasn’t used to the numerous compliments Fíli showered her with.
“Your hair’s getting quite long,” Fíli commented as he let his fingers glide through her deep brown curls. “I suppose it’s almost time to cut it again.”
She didn’t miss the disappointment in his voice, even though she knew he’d tried to hide it. She usually let her curls grow until it reached her shoulders, or until it was at ‘proper Hobbit-length’ as she’d always say, before the scissors would appear. Even though Fíli knew hair wasn’t as important to Hobbits as it was to Dwarrows, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness every time his future wife took out the scissors.
But now it almost brushed her collarbones, the longest it had ever been and Fíli loved it. How the curls danced around her face as she was running around the kitchen, cooking yet another feast, or how they framed her perfectly round face as she was engrossed in one of her books, shielding her from prying eyes. His fingers itched to braid her auburn locks, to take three strands and weave them together, following an all-too-familiar pattern, sealing it with a bead containing his sigil and making her truly his in the eyes of Mahal. But he respected her too much, and the last thing he would want for her was to abandon her own culture.
“About that…” she began, pulling him out of his thoughts. She went to the heavy wooden chest of drawers, took something out of the top drawer and placed it in his hand with a shy smile. A pair of scissors.
Fíli’s eyes went wide at the suggestion. “You cannot ask me to… I can’t-”
He loved her with all his heart, she was his whole world without any doubt, and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do if she asked him to, but this request was really pushing his limits.
The Hobbit girl laughed, her giggles like tiny bells in the evening breeze, and she folded her small hands around his large one holding the scissors, closing it with an encouraging squeeze.
“I don’t want you to use them,” she reassured him, “I want you to keep them, since I have no need for them anymore.”
Fíli stared at her, his features twisted in confusion, before he realised what it meant. He dropped the scissors and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest, the book she was reading toppling to the ground but neither of them noticed. As he let go of her, his hands moved from her waist to cup her cheeks, brushing a strand of hair out of her face with his thumb.
“I know how important this is to you, and your kin. You’ve done so many things to make me feel at home. So I decided I wanted to grow out my hair, long enough for you to braid it. And I think we’re there, don’t you?”
Fíli positively beamed with happiness, blinking a few times as if he couldn’t believe what had just occurred. He closed the already small distance between them with a small tug, and kissed her hard, a kiss full of passion and promises and want.
As they separated, both catching their breaths, he took something out of his pocket, and opened his hand, revealing a silver bead. “I’ve carried this with me ever since we started courting, but I never thought... Ibrizinlêkhê, would you do me the honour of letting me braid your hair?”
She smiled, her eyes a little teary at the sheer happiness and nodded.
Notes: When crossing a bridge on Halloween night (Samhain) you meet a mysterious knight, does this remind you of any legend?
Warnings: Fíli x fem!reader; reader eats meat and drinks wine; persecution; SFW.
The icy wind forced you to bend down and hold on tighter to the cloak that covered you, your horse was already tired from the long journey, but even though the sun had long since set you couldn't stop, it was Samhain night, you had to get home. Further on, even though your eyes were begging for rest, you could see a faint bluish glow and you were right to assume it was a lake. Arriving at the water's edge, you stopped so that your horse could have a drink and took the opportunity to refill your canteen too.
As you searched through your bag for something to eat, believing it would give you the energy to stay awake for a few more hours, a sound of something moving among the leaves came towards you and suddenly stopped. Without delay, you climbed back onto your horse, which was now alert too. "Who's there?" you asked into the shadows of the night, bow in hand, ready to fire an arrow. With a quick movement and a sound as subtle as a mouse, something approached from your right, but your ears didn't fail and you unhesitatingly shot in the direction, hitting a large black wolf that cried out in pain before being seized by hatred. But you didn't give him a chance, already pulling on the reins to take your horse in a new direction, then starting a chase.
At first it was just one wolf, but after its painful howl, several joined it, hunting you. It didn't matter which direction you were going anymore, you just needed to escape them, lose them. You went down an old road and crossed a bridge that creaked with the horse gallop, only to come to the end and come face to face with a forest too thick for your horse to pass through. He stopped and skidded before raising his paws in fear of hitting the trees and knocking you down. Your back hurt and your head was spinning when you managed to get up, still in time to see him run away at a fast gallop that mixed with the sounds of the wolves approaching, thirsty, you knew you would never be able to run faster than them.
Before you could hide or think of any plans, you saw the black cloud they were forming cross the bridge, its white teeth gleaming at you. And when all seemed lost and you had accepted that there, on that cold October night, would be your end, a rider appeared. His horse was as black as the sky that covered you, he wore a long cloak, wielded a long bronze sword, from where you stood you couldn't see his face, but his hair looked like the first rays of the morning sun. Bravely he stunned and wounded the pack single-handedly, you were so surprised that you didn't even think to draw your bow and react, it didn't take long for the pack to flee, and when the last wolf crossed the old bridge he leaned forward, still with his back to you, and sheathed his sword. When he stood up straight again, his blond curls spread out over his long cloak, and he turned his face to look at you over his shoulder.
As he pulled the horse's reins to look you in the face, you stood up and adjusted yourself as best you could to make yourself presentable. He was a short man with great presence, furrowed eyebrows and shrewd eyes analyzing you, he had a long nose that ended in a braided mustache and a blonde beard. His clothes were beautiful and yours were dirty, you were about to say thank you when he spoke earlier.
- A maiden shouldn't walk alone on Samhain night, she'll end up getting hurt - he had a smug smile on his lips and now it was yours eyebrows that were furrowed.
- Excuse me? But I was perfectly fine and could have managed on my own, I don't remember asking for help from any flirt.
- What a sharp tongue you have, you should be more careful with what you say, you never know who you might end up offending - his look seemed curious, almost as if he was having fun with the situation.
- You're full of "shoulds", aren't you? If it's so dangerous "shouldn't" I know your name?
The blonde man remained silent for a while, analyzing the situation and thinking about whether he should really tell you his name, or better yet, reveal who he really was.
- I am Fíli, son of Dís, daughter of Thráin. And I wasn't lying when said it's dangerous to be alone in the woods at night. Much more on this particular night. Without further intrigue, allow me to take you to a safer place - he extended his hand to you, a new look on his face, sincere and welcoming.
You looked away from him to the bridge for a moment, remembering how close the wolves were before he arrived, how close you were to death. Turning away from this distressing thought, you accepted his hand, it was definitely not today that you would accept your death. With a strong tug he helped you onto the horse, you sitting right behind. When the animal started to run, you were forced to hug Fíli's waist to stop yourself from falling. As they rode away, you remembered how, before the man turned to face you, even as he fight, you couldn't see his head, only his hair, which now, when you thought about it, without the fear blurring your vision, looked very much like living flames - was your imagination playing tricks on you?
The knight took you to an old castle, it looked abandoned. He stopped and helped you get off the horse. You doubted he really lived there, branches had already grown around the towers, the stones on the walls were dirty with age and the windows were dark. The big door creaked open, and magically the torches in the hallway lit up, you don't know how but you didn't ask.
- You live here? - asked, looking at the grandeur of the place.
- Since I was a child. I'm sorry about the dust, I can't always clean everything myself - he takes off his cape and hangs it on the coat rack at the entrance.
- Only you live here?
- Yes, everyone left after... - he was silent - ... You must be hungry, come - he smiled at you and continued on.
Fíli guided you through the corridors to a large dining room with a table just as long. At the end, there was a hearty dinner set out for the two of you.
- Were you expecting a visitor? - you said, taking the second glass.
- Maybe I went out looking for one - he pulled out the chair for you and smiled.
Only when the cooked meat touched your tongue and the seasoning invaded your mouth did you realize how hungry you were. Without paying attention, you ended up exaggerating the amount of wine you drank and soon the alcohol started to go to your head.
- It was good? - Fíli asked when you finished.
- Very good - you smiled and suddenly remembered how rude you had been to the man who saved your life - Thank you very much for all this, you don't even know me and are helping, I'm sorry for being so rude to you.
- Don't worry about it, I would also have responded that way to a strange man on a horse in the middle of the night - he laughed - And I think it doesn't matter if I know you or not, it's Samhain night, there has to be at least one date in the year to be kind without future interests, right?
-I think so...- your eyes became heavy, you leaned on the chair, the tiredness from before returning even stronger.
When you almost slipped out of the chair in your sleep, Fíli caught you, carefully lifting you up, "come on, I'll take you to your room" he said before leading you down more hallways and stairs. The mattress on the bed was soft and the covers were heavy, that was all you could say about your room as your eyes were practically closed when you entered, the blonde helping you lay down and cover you up.
- Good night, Y/n - he said, but you didn't remember telling him your name, but you didn't question it because you were already falling into a deep sleep.
The next morning, you woke up in a silent castle, sunlight shyly coming through the window to illuminate the room. You walked down the steps with light steps, there were no more candles lit and everything seemed more abandoned than last night. You looked between the doors as you passed through the hallways, but they were all filled with just furniture and nothing else except some cobwebs, where was Fíli? When reached the entrance hall you looked back, waited for a moment for any sound that would indicate the presence of anyone else in the house, but nothing.
- Fili? - you called, but no one answered.
Before leaving you noticed a painting at the entrance that you had not paid attention to last night, the painting was torn, but when you stretched it again and completed the image you found those beautiful shining eyes, in the frame of the painting there was a small golden plaque that "Fíli" was engraved and next to it was the year of birth... And the year of death. You walked away and took your breath away, he had died decades ago, how was it possible that you had seen him yesterday? Having spoken to him, touched him and felt him, how?
Without further ado, you left the house and had another shock when you found your horse that had escaped, standing outside, waiting for you calmly while was grazing. You looked once more at the castle behind you and you could have sworn you saw a curtain move. You wouldn't forget that Samhain night so easily.
Hiya! Could I request male pirates of the Caribbean and the Hobbit ships, please?
Both of them with the prompt "Moment Of Realization"
I'm really bad at describing myself lol but there it goes.
My pronouns are she/her, I'm ambivert (but if I'm out with people for really long time I get really tired, like if my soul decided to left my body), I tend to daydream a lot, I'm really creative, I'm a night owl, I love traveling but I also love staying at my home, I do martial arts, my love language are quality time also pyshical touch (not like being all the time touching the other person but I really like a good hug), I really love nature and animals (I've a lot of cats tbh) I'm usually very chill and like yolo but I've my days like everyone and sometimes I get really pissed off and you can tell when it happens (In some ways I'm really easy to read, not always but when I'm angry, uff, you can tell), I also have a brow and I practice with it.
My hobbies are reading, dancing, painting, writing... whatever creative stuff you put in front of me.
I don't really like violence ( I practice Martial Arts to protect myself more than to compete) but if someone dares to hurt my love ones... Well, you can run.
I've been passionate about history, myths, legends... since I was a kid so I'm studying to become an Archaeologist and being able to learn more about it and discover new ones.
And I don't wanna bother you more than it's necessary so, there it is.
Thank you so much <3 ❤️
I hope you like them!
Also, awesome! I went to Uni for Archaeology as well, I hope you are enjoying it!
Ships are under the cut
Potc:
I ship you with Will!
Will is kind hearted and generous and is attracted to people of a like mind. He also finds people who have various hobbies and skills attractive, so that is a bonus in his mind.
"Moment of Realization"
Will's eyes never left your face as you recanted the tale you heard from an old sailor by the docks. You paced back and forth as you smiled, no detail escaped your mind of the mans story as you repeated it back to Will.
He smiled at your excitement and adored the way your eyes lit up as you told him of the sea monster they supposedly came across.
As you spoke, Will felt his heart selling in his chest. Adoration washed over him as he watched you. This was not a new feeling, but there was something more mixed in. Something more intense, something that told him you were his favorite person in the whole world. More to him than he had previously imagined.
"And then the Capta- Will? Hey!" You threw a rag at Will, causing him to snap out of his thoughts. As he looked at you, you crossed your arms "You aren't even listening!"
"I was!" Will defended but you rose your brow. "Alright, I swear I was listening but then I got a bit...distracted."
"By what?"
Will let out a soft breath of air. He had fallen for you and never even knew it was happening. But now was not the time to tell you, that needed to be better than this. Not while he was covered in grime in his shop.
"Nothing, just remembered another order I have to fulfill. Please continue the story, I swear I'm listening."
You watched him for a moment before you relaxed "Aright, but you better pay attention, because this is where it gets really good."
Will smiled again as you quickly fell back into telling the story. Yes, he had definitively fallen for you. And he was more than okay with it.

The Hobbit:
I ship you with Fili!
Fili is an ambivert as well, and is always willing to leave situations when you are. He is draw to skilled, kind, and loving people, so he adored you from the moment you met.
Runner Up: Legolas
'Moment of Realization' - this is both the moment of realization and the first I love you (it happened as I was writing it lol)
Fili's heart was beating in his chest as he watched you, a grin on his face.
You continuously called up at the cat in the tree, who simply stared back down at you with blinking eyes. You let out a sigh as you lifted your arms out again "Come on!"
"Y/n, I think we've established that the cat is not going to come down."
You looked back at him with a frown "But what if it gets cold?"
Fili shook his head with a soft chuckle as he walked up to you. Turning you towards him, he set his hands on your shoulders "Cat's have fur for that. And if he got himself into that tree, I'm fairly certain he can get out of it."
You looked back up at the cat again and let out a sigh. "Fine. But if we come by later when it's getting dark, and he's still up there-"
"I will climb up the tree and retrieve him myself."
You frowned softly at him and gave in "Alright."
Fili smiled as he shook his head again, letting out a soft laugh as he spoke "I love you." He muttered before he thought about it.
Seeing your eyes widen, he realized what he said. It came out faster than he thought it. But he realized now, as you clearly grew a bit flustered, as a smile crossed your face, he wasn't only saying the truth. He did love you.
"You love me?" You asked, your voice soft.
Fili smiled, and nodded his head "Yes, I do."
As Fili spoke those words, you felt your whole body grow warm. You felt the same, of course you did.
A.N: This was pretty easy for me to write. I love Fili, and I have a large fear of spiders. A lot of the reactions to the spiders and feelings of fear are taken from my own various experiences with my panic attacks, anxiety, and various fears. I’m really not sure how good this is, but I kinda like it so… Also I so badly wanted to include Legolas flirting with the reader, but if Legolas flirts I’m gonna make him the love interest, so that didn’t happen. I really hope you like this!
Requested by Anon on Tumblr: Can I ask for a Fili imagine or oneshot 👉👈😳 there aren't a lot of blogs who write him. Maybe something with you being absolutely terrified of spiders, mortified even, and the Mirkwood scene? You're still not calmed down when you're taken to the dungeons and he gets protective? I like your blog a lot, you're an amazing writer and person ❤️
Word Count: 1,266
Pairing: Fili x Reader
Summary: You are scared when the spiders attack in Mirkwood, and Fili calms you down.
Warnings: Spiders, fighting, angst, fear.

Peace
“Fili? Wh-what’s happening?”
You backed up into someone, and spinning around saw it was the very dwarf you had just called out for. “Get in the circle, Y/N.” He pushed you behind him, holding his blade out as you drew yours. You had all backed into a circle, every member of the company protecting another against the unseen threat. Then, suddenly, Bofur disappeared. Your eyes roamed the trees, searching for him but you did not see a trace. Spinning around, you noticed the absence of Dori, Ori, and Balin. Then Gloin and Dwalin were gone. Next, Kili, Nori, Bifir, and Bombur. Fili cried out for his brother, but there was no answer. Then Thorin and Oin disappeared. You stood back to back with Fili, shuddering.
“It’s gonna be ok, Y/N. We’ll find them. It’s probably just Kili playing some dumb jo-“ and then he disappeared too.
And then you saw the worst sight of your life descending down the tree in front of you. It was a spider. Not just any spider- a very large spider. The size of a horse. You backed up in horror, only to trip over a tree root and sprawl back at the feet of the terrifying creature in front of you.
Scrambling back, hands scrabbling at the ground for anything that could be used as a weapon, you recalled stories told to you by your mother, tales of the spiders of old, of one so big she could devour light itself. Petrified, you kept crawling backwards until you sensed a presence behind you. Slowly tilting your head up, you came face-to-face with another spider. Frozen in terror, trapped between two of the beasts, you watched as a leg descended, hitting you on the head, and then everything faded to black.
You blinked back to consciousness, unsure of where you were or what was happening. The filmy white thing covering your eyes came into focus, and it all came back to you. Thrashing, you attempted to get free of what you now knew was spiderwebs. You felt something on your back, and struck out with your elbow, halting as you heard a voice.
“Y/N, it’s me, it’s Fili. Stay still.” You did, and within seconds you were hugging him, clinging to him like your life depended on it.
“Fili, Y/N!” You heard Kili’s cry and jerked away from his brother. Seeing the rest of the company sprinting away, you joined them. Feet pounding on the soft dirt of the forest floor, you gulped in breaths, trying to get some air into your panicked lungs. You crashed into Kili, who had stopped in front of you, and he righted you in time for you to see yet another spider facing Thorin. You began to shudder in fear, tips of your swords shaking as your hands trembled.
As you watched, a tall blond elf appeared on top of the suddenly dead spider in front of Thorin, arrow pointing at his face. Fili moved to attack, but you held him back as more elves appeared, bows drawn, in the branches and on the ground surrounding the company. And then more spiders appeared from above. The elves dispatched some, the dwarves fought others, and you just stood there, frozen in fear as the battle raged around you. You couldn't move, couldn’t think.
“Y/N!” Shocked out of your fearful stupor by Fili, shouting, you spun to see a spider advancing on you. You took a deep breath, steeling your nerves, before throwing a perfectly placed dagger into one of its many eyes. Even scared witless, your aim was still true, and the spider died instantly.
You looked around the clearing, goose bumps raised underneath your clothes despite the fact that it was not cold. You saw your companions being stripped of their weapons by the elves. One came over to you, and you sullenly handed your twin swords to him. He gestured, and you pulled out the remaining dagger from your boots, and the ones from your thighs.
“I know you are still armed, human.” The elf’s hand was still outstretched, waiting for you to hand over all your weapons. Sighing, still shaking in suppressed fear but putting on a brave face, you reached down your shirt and pulled a blade from between your breasts, and then the one strapped along your spine.
“Wow, Y/N. I did not know you could even keep blades in those places!” Fili, standing next to you being given much the same treatment, was clearly trying to lighten the mood, distract you from the terror he could tell you still felt.
“Haha.” You mustered a fake smile. “I guess I’m just special, then.”
He tilted his head at you, frowning. Fili knew you, he knew that something was very wrong. Normally you’d have a scathing retort for a comment like that. Still puzzling over you, he was shoved into a line, you right behind him, and marched off into the forest.
Arriving at what you could only assume to be the stronghold of the Woodland elves, still not calm, you were marched down to the cells alongside all except Thorin (and, of course, Bilbo. You wondered where the hobbit had gotten too? Hopefully he was alright.) and thrown into a cell with Fili.
You sat, back against the far wall from the door as the golden-haired prince paced the floor. You hadn’t had a moment since the battle to truly process it all, and now, in the silence, it began to sink in. You had been terrified. The mind-numbing, paralyzing fear wouldn’t let you move, think, fight. You were just stuck, and as you remembered your fear for your friends, for Fili, but how you couldn’t move until his voice rang out. Falling back into the terror, mind replaying those moments over and over, you began to shake. Then the tears started falling down your face. You couldn’t help it, your brain truly processing what had just happened was too much.
Fili heard the sobbing, saw you curled in on yourself in the shadows, and quickly sat next to you. You lifted your head at the warmth suddenly emitting from beside you, and your tearstained face was fully visible.
“Oh, Y/N.” The prince was worried. “What is wrong?”
You gulped, trying to stop the sobs so that you could speak. “I just- the- spiders.”
His face softened in understanding. “It’s alright now, Y/N. The spiders are gone. You’re safe, we are all safe.” He placed an arm around your shoulders and drew you close, letting you bury your face in his chest as the sobs wracked your body. He stroked your back, rubbing soothing circles with his hands as your sobs faded to hiccups, and those turned into uneven breathing, until they finally disappeared into the smooth rhythm of your calm, steady breaths. Lulled by his soothing motions, calmed by the rumble of his breathing you could feel in his chest, you faded off into a peaceful sleep. He gazed down at you, hand still moving on your back, and his only thought was how genuinely calm you looked, as if no harm could come to you. He brushed your hair back, admiring your relaxed face. Fili sat there, content with you asleep in his arms, proud of how he had calmed you down. It was silent, the only sound he could hear was your breathing, and despite being captured he felt a strong sense of peace.
A/N: this has been in my drafts for like a year, and it feels like I didn’t write this at all but I wanted to finish and share it even though it’s short:)

You woke up to a soft grumble next to you. Just the sound of it made you smile immediately. You turned around slowly, watching Fili’s blond hair tangled up. He was still asleep, and his mouth was slightly open. The sun rays that peaked through the thick navy colored velvet curtains caressed his face. Pure bliss. You never wanted to leave this bed. For several reasons. One of them was lying next to you obviously, exposed to his nakedness which was now all a memory to what happened the night before. With the marks on your neck as a clear evidence and kisses still lingering on your skin.
The other reason was that this has been the most comfortable spots you got to sleep in a while. Most where hard or muddy grounds, sometimes lucky enough to have some grass beneath you. Ever since you reached Rivendell you were wading yourself in luxuries. You were trying not to get used to it too much, since your travel had only just begun. But it was extremely hard not to get used to rosemary and thyme baths and massages every day. The soft demeanor of Elves was something that drew you, it was like a breath of fresh air. Sure you loved the dwarves one by one, but their harsh ways sometimes tired you a bit. There was also some worry that grew inside your head. Fili was a prince. You weren’t of royal blood.
Thorin wasn’t always so fond you. One time he hissed in your ear, something about how you should be leaving his nephew alone. The only thing you remembered was that you shot him a foul gaze which he didn’t appreciate. But deep down you knew Thorin was right, Fili did deserved better. A royal dam of a good family, having enough prosperity to give. You were just a simple dam from a normal family. Destined to marry a normal man, have normal children and have a normal household. You were sure Fili would leave you. You were just a flirt, a toy he would ditch after the quest would be over. He would never truly fall for someone like you.
You sat right up on the bed with your knees pulled up, when you heard Fili shift underneath the blanket. A soft mumble followed.
“Y/N?” His husky morning voice alone made you shiver in an instant.
But you didn’t answer, and kept staring at the wall in front of you, watching the dust that flew in the air dance through the sunlight. Keeping your thoughts to yourself.
“Y/N?” He asked again with one arm underneath his head. You turned your face towards him and smiled softly but yet your look gave a way your concern.
“What’s wrong?” Fili asked curiously. You felt his fingers on your bare back, following the rose tattooed on it, something he has always been intrigued by. It sent quivers to your spine.
“It’s just…” You paused. “No it doesn’t matter, I don’t want to bother you, not with the quest going on.” Brushing him off.
“No please, do tell me.” He spoke with a soft voice, now sitting next you mimicking your position. He gazed worryingly at you.
Tears welled up in your eyes while trying to blink them away.
“I’m afraid that you’ll leave me after everything is over, I'm scared of losing you.” You let out a short sigh.
“Why do you think that?” His asked softly.
“Because you deserve so much better and you know it.” You paused and gazed away from this eyes. “You deserve someone of royalty, someone from a good family, you’re an heir for Mahal’s sake. I messed up. I played with your feelings, I-I….” You rambled on and on.
“Lass.” He shifted closer to you as he leaned forward. “Look at me.” Your eyes sorrowful slowly turned to his. He took your face in his hands, it felt like they were burning on your skin.
“I have chosen you a long long time ago. And I would choose you again any time. Under no circumstance I will leave you, unless you want me to. I don’t care you’re not of royal blood, and I’m sure my uncle will change his mind.”
He placed his forehead to yours as he brushed your cheek.
“I’ll never leave you. I promise you.” He whispered softly.
