One of the best ways to get the most out of using dumbells that feel to light for you is doing a complex. A complex is doing a series of exercises in a row with the same piece of equipment. I love having my clients do a dumbbell complex with these 3 exercises. The goal is to go from one exercises to the other without putting the weights down. 1. Alt bicep curl x 10 each side 2. Standing neutral grip press x 12 3. Part of this morning’s conditioning. After I hit the heavy bag a few rounds I pulled out the ladder and did some drills followed by a hill sprint. These are 3 of the drills I used. Part of today’s morning strength work. I love using this circuit to hit the center of my chest. Doing the chin ups at the end feel almost like a stretch for my pecs. I focus on my core during each exercise.
