Today was my first communion, I am beyond happy.
Please, please if you can pray that I may continue walking this path God has set before me, for it hasn't been easy.
Amen.

Blessed Imelda Lambertini
1322 - 1333
Feast Day: May 12
Patronage: First Communicants
Blessed Imelda Lambertini had a burning desire to receive the Holy Eucharist from a very young age. She joined a Dominican convent at age 9 and would sometimes say “Tell me, can anyone receive Jesus into their heart and not die?” One day after Mass she was seen with the Sacred Host miraculously hovering above her. The priest was called and gave her First Holy Communion. She died in ecstasy immediately after and is believed to be incorrupt. She was only 11.
Prints, plaques & holy cards available for purchase. (website)

On a less serious note, I ordered my first Catholic Bible, a study one at that, AND emailed my local church about RCIA classes 😝 YES SIRRR
Since I am very fond of Catholic Jason AUs (and his alternative priestHOOD), I thought what if, after being adopted by Bruce, Jay wanted to have his First Communion. Maybe he just grew up in a Catholic household (Catherine was a believer or his neighbours) and thought it was a normal step in any child's life. So when he heard that Bruce was going to do a gala for him, he asked if it would be similar to a First Communion party. If he really wanted to spend a lot on an event, couldn't Bruce just do a First Communion party for him.
This also prompted one of the first civilian family photos.
