Just had some amazing Pumpkin Spice Nice Cream
Sweet Tooth Status: Satiated.
I need some vegetarian boneless buffalo wings in my life today.
What do you all like to use for a healthier breading? I'm partial to ground buffalo wing flavored almonds but I want something that will crisp up really nice in the oven without getting too soggy.
Snacking Smart
Snacking Smart
Everybody loves snacking. Chips, cookies, and candy – we want it all! So naturally when starting a diet, it can be difficult to say goodbye to all these tasty treats; but the truth is, we don’t have too say goodbye at all!
Snack On This, Not That
Chips vs. Popcorn: Chips are high in fat & carbs, and low in protein. Did you know that 1 oz. of chips contains 10 grams of fat, while 2 cups of popcorn contains only 6 grams of fat? That means you can eat two times more popcorn per serving than greasy potato chips. Rather than opting for a bag of your favorite potato chips, go for some popcorn & skip the butter. You’ll still get the airy crunch found with chips, but not the nasty calories.
Ranch vs. Salsa: On average, 1 tbsp of ranch dressing contains 80 calories & 17.4 grams of fat. On top of the fact that ranch dressing is extremely fattening, it is common practice to dip things like chips, fries & even fried chicken wings into this creamy dressing, which can result in a breathtakingly terrible amount of fat per sitting! Instead of going the creamy route, go for some salsa, which contains vegetables and is without a doubt less fattening than ranch.
Chocolate Chip vs. Banana & Oat Cookies: Instead of going to the local grocery store & buying chocolate loaded cookies that usually add up to 200 calories per cookie, try baking your own at home – allowing you to eat twice the amount with half the calories.
Fried vs. Baked French Fries: Anything fried is significantly higher in fat because it is fried in grease & oil. Instead of ordering greasy French fries at your favorite fast food joint or restaurant, ask for a baked potato or baked fries. Simply opting for baked fries can save you an extra 100 calories.
