I swear my boyfriend is trying to turn me into a little stuffed dumpling so I can’t roll away from him 😂💖 ~maple crème brûle topped with fresh berries~
Genetics doesn’t make you obese...-start rant-
When I was growing up (obviously Chinese) I got teased a lot for being the fat kid. The fat Asian. When I was 6 or so I got pjs from my mom’s friend as a Christmas gift. They were a small. I asked my mom why she thought I was a small. She responded saying “oh Asians tend to be a bit smaller. I guess she guessed wrong.” Eh that was the first time I knew I was fat. But I didn’t care all that much. I had bigger problems at 6...(like being bullied not cause I was fat. Cause I was adopted.) so genetically though I should have been tiny. Cause Asians are tiny right??? Genetics???
When I was in the orphanage my nanny nicknamed me “Miss Happy Taste Buds” (don’t even ask what that is in Chinese cause idk lol). But I guess that says a lot about how I always loved food. I seriously have a food addiction. So I’m not surprised I weighed 200lbs at one point in my life. I just loved food and still do.
It’s just -60lbs now I learned I can still love food but control it better. If I have cake for breakfast you bet your ass I’m not gonna have cookies for dessert that night. It’s all moderation. Something I didn’t learn as a kid.
But if genetics was what makes someone obese, shouldn’t I have been thin since Asians are genetically thin???? Nope! And yes I know I’m adopted so my birth parents could have been fat (which I doubt considering they were most likely poor and from a rural village). I took a DNA test and I don’t have this genetic gene for obesity. It said I’ll taste bitter foods more highly but nothing about being fat.
Genetics doesn’t make you fat. Eating more than you burn does.
Yet my dad doesn’t understand this. He thinks he’s fat cause his dad and sister and brother etc are fat. No dad you guys just eat a lot.

This is a public service announcement. If you haven't heard of pop sugar fitness or their videos on YouTube you need to go look it up! It's just as great as any in person class I've been too and the one I did today was a killer. I rarely hit peak in a normal strength work out but they did it! They have great modifications and lots of options! I love them for when I'm too lazy to get to the gym like today when I did it in between loads of laundry??? Just do it my friends - you'll thank me later!

It's good to have an all green Fitbit day... I did sleep more than that, I just took my Fitbit off because it was annoying me. Yay for starting to get back on track!
I love hikes and also being silly
