Trying to figure out what fitbit is saying my HR zones are... it requires MATH, ugh.
Here is the explanation...
Let's see if I can do this for my stats:
Maximum HR: 220-60 = 160
Heart Rate Reserve: 160- 70 (resting HR) = 90
Zones ... % of max HR x HRR (90) + resting HR (70)
(seriously? can this be more complicated?)
Fat Burn: 106-123
(0.4 x 90) + 70 = 106
(.59 x 90) + 70 = 123
Cardio: 124 - 146
(.84 x 90 ) + 70 = 146
Peak: 147 - 160
--------------------------------------------
So, I have seen my HR into the 150s but not very often or for very long, at least not recently. I need to look into what advantages there are, if any, of getting into that 'peak' zone. I spend most of my time in 'cardio' or 'fat burn' now.
