Hump Day is reserved for hump growing 😄 Leg Day today, was exhausted and not feeling it but @uniquely_fit_ kept me accountable since we both had to train legs, couldn't just walk away and leave her to it 😁 Ended up having a great leg session, some heavy lifting, some unilateral work and some volume work. Using a variety of training techniques with smart programming can help spark growth and get results where you haven't before or where you have stalled. Add in proper nutrition and you are good to go. Getting enough protein in is paramount to help with muscle growth and fat loss, a way to do that is to drink a quality protein after your workout. Couple that with some fast acting carbs to help shuttle that protein to your muscles and replenish your glycogen stores. My favorite is Phormula 1 and Ignition, it's great tasting, high quality and so refreshing to drink. Rededicating myself to my favorite lift, the Deadlift. Last week I decided to give it it's own day again, see if I couldn't start lifting some real weight again. Well last week was crap, and I barely got in a proper warm up let along real lift and the week was as crappy as that day. Today started out the same way as last week, but I wasn't going to let it rule me, so I put on my shorts and socks and stepped up to the bar. And damn did it feel good. Ended up with 215lbs 2 sets of 2 and I still had some left in the tank. Attitude is everything in life, you can decide to give in and give up or you can step up to the bar and pick it up. Don't let your bad attitude bring you down, I'm sure að hell done with being weak, time to reset and refocus. Packed day today so I got in my workout while waiting to pick up my minions from school. 40min bodyweight workout got done in the school parking lot but then afterwards I realized that I had forgotten my shaker cup....... oh no I'll loose all my gains now brah! 😁 Ok not really but it is beneficial to get in good post workout nutrition, not only for muscle growth but for recovery. If your nutrition is on point, and that means getting proper post workout nutrition then you're less likely to be sore cause your body got the nutrients it needed to recover and rebuild. Fortunately Phormula 1 and Ignition blend so easily that I don't need a shaker to mix it. Just put it in your water bottle, shake and voila it's mixed up perfectly for a refreshing drink.
