My gym @impactfitnesspc is looking so good right now, can't tell you how proud I am of the changes they've made. And they're not done yet. Come check us out, we have a cage area that gives you plenty of room for any boxing, crossfit, TRX, funcional or power lifting. We have plate loaded equipment as well as pin loaded, several squat racks, Smith machines, cables and a host of cardio equipment. There is also a 1stPhorm supplement shop where I'm happy to help you with your supplement needs. Group exercise room with several different classes offered and daycare available in the afternoon. 24/7 access for members. In a world where everyone is trying to be like someone else, just be you. This goes for everything in life but for now I'll talk about how everyone is always trying to look like someone they admire. Some celebrity or fitness personality. I want to look like Jennifer Aniston, I want to be like Jessica Biel, or @danalinnbailey or @nicolemwilkins, @monicabrant @erinstern5 or @jessiegraffpwr (last 5 all women I have at one point or another wished I looked or could be like) and I could name at least couple more. And while I still admire these women and look up to for motivation and some, education, I have come to realize that I will never be like them. Not because I won't be successful or able to do what I set my mind to. But because I'm not them, I have my own body, I have my own genetic make up, I have my own history which makes me who I am and how I look like. I can only make myself better, smarter, stronger, leaner or whatever the current goal is. I can't make myself look or be like someone else nor would I want to. I no longer strive to have "her" legs abs or ass, I strive to make my legs, abs, ass look the best they have ever before, I strive to learn more everyday. I strive to do better as ME every day. Stop trying to look like someone else or be like someone else, work on being the best YOU there is. I promise you have plenty to work on but you'll also be happier cause you can see you improving and you'll want to continue to do better, be better, motivated by your results. 1st heavy upper body workout since hurting my wrist couple of weeks ago. Felt great and the 75lbs on the overhead press went up pretty easy. For the first couple of sets at least, the 5th set (on video) was a little more challenging. 😁💪 Felt strong on all my lifts and was pretty excited that this forced "deload" didn't affect my strength at all. Came back to all the same weights I was using before. Sometimes if you're starting to feel stagnant or beat up changing up your reps and sets a little can make all the difference. Try switching from your normal 12-15 rep scheme to a little lighter weight and a 20-25 rep scheme. Or if you're used to 15-20 reps then go heavier and do 8-10 reps. Even if it's just for a week or two. Most common excuse I hear; I don't have time. I don't have time to meal prep, I don't have time to work out = I don't have time to take care of myself. It's bullshit, sorry but it's true. It's not that you don't have time, it's that you don't prioritize it, you don't make time for it in your schedule, it's not something you "have to do". I know ER doctors working 16 hours a day that still make time to eat healthy and exercise, full time mom's, mom's that work and take care of family, buisness owners there are people of every walk of life that make sure to prioritize health and fitness J into their lives. You and me aren't any busier or more tired than they are. We just don't have it high on our priority list. I remind myself of this anytime I try to use that excuse "I don't have time" No Jenny, you just didn't make time. And you know what there are times in our lives that are like that and that's ok. Well I didn't die 🤣 Leg workout and #VeteransComplex completed. I had 55lbs bar did 3 rounds, 10 sets each first round, then 8 then 4 =22 total reps. Then I grabbed a 35lbs bar and did 22 reps each exercise for a finisher. Anyone else try it? Let me know.
