PKMN Fankid Week 2025 Day 1 - First Friend/First Pokemon

Well I like plenty of ships I guess, but I'm not actually an active shipper, so I only really have a handful?

(though sidenote while we're talking about sss... funnily enough, I didn't even enjoy it at first??? like it just came across as the typical edgy trauma boy x girl-next-door kind of trope which. is not my favorite. at all. Sometimes you just have to get away from fanon content to enjoy things on your own! Now they're both freaks in my au :D )

Heartsoulshipping (Ethan/Lyra) though!!!!!!!! I do love heartsoulshippibg!!!! They're so insane, I think they deserve each other <3 I like the idea of childhood friends to lovers but like... with the spice that they're growing up into separate people and unsure of how it's going to affect their friendship but the tribulations just make them even closer in the end..... sighh. I've been meaning to draw them tbh.

Ethan/Lucas is a great pairing too!!! I am a lonely fleetingshipping defender in a sea of huntershipping fans......... (/lh). The best way I can describe their dynamic is like. secretly athletic nerd x secretly smart jock? Idk that sounds a little boring now that I've typed it but they're my beloveds!! That's my top Ethan ship right there!! I've also been meaning to draw these two losers again too. Maybe soon...

Oh and kogamoshipping obviously. I loveee the idea of two smart people who make each other incredibly stupid. Kris and Leaf bond over infodumping and incomprehensible memes together. And also there's angst but like. it's underdeveloped so I'm not getting into it here.

Serena and Dawn is really cute imo :) I haven't done anything with them yet, I just really vibe with it I guess. Fashion designer falls in love with stylist. A match made in heaven <3

Last one I think but Bruno and Lorelei are the ultimate t4t couple and no one can convince me otherwise >:)c

I want to make a headcanon since it’s hinted from HGSS. (Ethan went to Lucas’ home at Sinnoh). Then, they meet again at another time and decided to find Pokemon myth together.

Also fleetingshipping stuff will be developed when they met at first time

New Character Art!!

I’ve been working really hard on updating some of my old artwork for my fankids and I wanted to share a few new pieces!!

Arthur (formerly Noah), and Apollo (formerly Logan) have gotten minor changes and mostly got updated to my newer style (their original art was several years old), while Sophie got a full on redesign!! Their profiles are being worked on currently, with Sophie getting a fully revamped profile with new information, and a complete new storyline!!

Hoenn is also getting a bunch of new kids, and new storylines as well, so be on the lookout for that!

If there's one thing Logan loves, it's cool pokemon, and battling- wait that was two.. Logan enjoys whatever is the coolest at the moment, big strong monsters, edgy birds, you name it, and if it’s ‘cool’, he has it. Along with his battle skills though is the ability to skateboard, making him a bit faster than his colleagues. Lucas says it reminds him of someone, but Logan doesn’t pay that much attention to him.

While Noah’s brother is very into battling and getting the strongest pokemon, Noah would much rather just relax with his. Dreaming of professorhood, taking after his father and great-grandfather, Noah hopes to be able to study wildlife instead of battle with it. His friends see it as ‘lame’ (in Logan’s words), but Noah’s journey is one of care rather than ego.
