Hi I have so many clouds but I don't wanna flood your inbox lol so just one for now

Do you know what it's called when you get a rainbow thing in the clouds like this?

When clouds have a rainbow in them, it's called irisation! It's a very pretty phenomena, and one I've yet to see irl!

Image 1 has cirrocumulus undulatus with irisation, and cirrus fibratus

Image two has cirrostratus fibratus with irisation, cirrocumulus floccus homomutatus (contrail), altocumulus perlucidus, and cumulus fractus clouds.

Hallo!!! I thought the sky was looking absolutely dazzling -as it always is- and was curious what show it was giving today.

Yesterday had freezing rain and that's why the trees look like that. This was taken before noon.

Looks like we have cirrostratus fibratus, altocumulus floccus stratiformis, cumulus mediocris, stratocumulus floccus, and stratus fractus clouds.

clouds !

Image 1 is cirrus intortus and cumulus congestus, image 2 is stratocumulus floccus, and image 3 is nimbostratus.

This one made me think of a sky moustache

Oh wow! We've got a lot of cool things happening here!!

The main part of this (the moustache) is altocumulus floccus with virga, behind it there seems to be Cirrus uncinus homomutatus (contrail), and below it is stratocumulus volutus!

I'm so happy I found your blog! I love clouds, I think they're so pretty but I'm terrible at identifying them 🫣 I have a album on my phone that's just photos of clouds lol
