Early on a Monday morning the Jeon twins found themselves inside the dead cafeteria to get an early morning study session in before classes. Well at least Luna was, Jungkook was 'resting his eyes' listening to Luna mutter about protons and electrons.
Well in the midst of drawing another Bohr-Rutherford diagram a girl sits herself down beside Luna. Out of respect Luna puts her pencil down and faces her.
"Hello," Luna says with a welcoming smile. The girl had bleached blonde hair and a heavy coating of makeup. Luna recognized her to be one of the senior girls that sat on the sofas everyday during the second period. The ones that are highly obnoxious and are gossiping every spare second they have.
"Hi, are you the chick that's dating Jin?" she asks while giving Luna an obviously fake smile.
"Uh yeah, yeah I am," Luna says nervously, her fingers twiddling together.
"What's your name anyway," she asks her.
"Luna Jeon," she says. She was about to ask for the girl's name but she was cut off by the girl saying something else.
"I didn't think Jin would date such an irrelevant thing," she scoffs. Luna lips quiver at the insult, she unconsciously kicks Jungkook in the shin gaining his attention very quickly.
Before he could yell at her he sees a girl staring his sister down with a sinister grin. "Whose this?" he asks, gaining the attention of the girl.
"My name is Mackenzie, who might you be cutie?" the girl asks, her demeanor completely changed from a moment ago.
"Jungkook Jeon, Luna's twin brother." he says, his voice accentuating the words Luna's twin.
"That's unfortunate," she mumbles quietly but loud enough for Luna to hear. "Anyway before I leave I just wanted to let you know that you need to be prepared for Jin to break your little heart soon. We are on a break so once I go back to him, he'll leave you in a heartbeat." she says, giving Luna a happy smile. Mackenzie gets up and flips her hair over her shoulder and walks away with a grin upon her face.
As soon as she exits the cafeteria Luna's eyes gloss over, Jungkook is quick to go under the table and sit beside her. He pulls Luna into his shoulder and lets her cry it out. Jungkook sighs as he hugs her, he feels guilty for not standing up for her and seeing her cry over a petty ex girlfriend. He lightly pats her back and nuzzles his head against her neck.
"I'm sorry Luna," he says to her, giving her a squeeze, then pulling away slightly so he could see her face.
She wipes her tears away and looks him in the eyes. "At least I know he has a crazy ex," she says shrugging letting out a choked chuckle.
Jungkook laughs at her ruffling her hair, "Don't sweat it, their relationship lasted all of ten minutes back in grade 3!" They let out a laugh together, Luna continues giggling putting her forehead against the top of his shoulder. "But seriously if she bothers you again, tell me, okay? he says, Luna nods her head against his shoulder.
"I will," she says quietly and meaninglessly.

After lunch Luna had realized she had the wrong binders in her bag, she left Jungkook and their friends in the caf to switch them. Once she arrived at her locker 1204, she quickly put in her combination. As she opens her locker she slings her bag over her shoulder and opens the zipper. From the corner of her eye she notices a girl come up and lean against one of the lockers near hers.
Luna briefly looks over and sees one of the only people she didn't, Mackenzie looks down on her with her arms crossed.
Mackenzie had completely slipped Luna's mind over the past week that she left her alone. Luna internally groans as she puts her lunch into her locker.
"Hello again, I haven't seen you in a while!" she says with an extremely happy smile on her face.
"Hi," Luna says quietly, not daring to look over at her as she starts switching the binders and textbooks in her bag.
"You still dating Jin?" she asks.
"Uh yeah, we're still together," Luna says, glancing quickly at her to see her reaction. The girl gives her a look of disgust in response, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"Hmm," she hums before starting again, "Not for much longer though. He started messaging me again." Mackenzie gives Luna a look of fake pity as she talks to her.
Luna ignores her words and zips her bag up quickly, she grabs her lock and starts to put it around her now closed locker door. Before she can put it around Mackenzie snatches the lock out of her hands.
"You should give respect to those who are older than you," she says, pursing her lips at her. Luna says nothing, giving her a blank stare.
"No wonder Jin is talking to me again, he's gotten bored of you and your bland personality," she laughs.
"Can I have my lock back?" Luna says montoned, obviously getting annoyed with her.
"And why wou-" Mackenzie's eyes go wide as she looks over Luna's shoulder. "Here" she says, jamming the lock into her hand before rushing off into the crowd.
Luna looks at her hand confused before turning around to see what had caused her to run. She sees Jin and Chanyeol far down the hall walking in her direction, presumably that was who she saw. Luna takes a deep breath before putting her lock onto her locker and then walking off to her class, not bothering to go and see Jin.

The ten minute period between classes was the only time Jin and Luna would be able to see each other. The girls volleyball team had a game tonight at the same time as the boys basketball team, which both of them were a part of.
Jin was back hugging Luna as they stood in his circle of friends. They all were going on about the party being held next week. Luna and Jin were paying no mind to their conversation as they silently hugged.
Luna smiled as she felt Jin's head nuzzle into her neck, he began leaving little butterfly kisses in the crook of her neck. She quietly giggled at the feeling, her cheeks beginning to flush to a pink colour.
Luna tilts her head all the way back forcing him to lift his head out of her neck. He smiles seeing the happy and goofy face she had. He quickly moves his head down leaving a short peck on her lips.
He lets out a laugh as she scrunches her face up as she blushes brightly.
"Hey, don't laugh at me!" she whines to him.
"Sorry sweetheart, but you're too cute," he says, his hand reaching up giving her cheeks a squeeze to emphasize his point.
"Thanks, can't say the same about you," she says before trying to wiggle out of his arms. Jin's arms latch tighter around her, not letting her go.
"Take that back you meanie!" he says with a large pout on his face.
"No," she says, turning his head away from him.
"Fine then no iced coffee for you tomorrow" he says to her, her head snaps back to him.
"You wouldn't!" she says with her mouth open wide.
"Bullies don't deserve rewards," he says sassily to her.
Luna huffs, "Fine, you are cute Jinnie."
"Mmm that's what I like to hear," he says, pecking her tempal. She turns in his arms and faces him, she rises onto her toes and pecks his lips.
"I need to go to the bathroom," she says, Jin's arm loosened and she slid away. Jin watches her weave through the other students and enter the bathroom, only then does he start getting into his friend's conversation.

As Luna enters she notices a group of girls standing in front of the sink, unfortunately they were blocking the way to the stalls. She tries to slip past them through the middle. As she passes the girls she accidentally bumps the elbow of one of them, an open lipstick falling to the ground with a light thud.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, if it's broken I'll get you a new one," Luna quickly says, grabbing it from the ground and inspecting it as she rises up. "It seems okay, I'm s-" Luna's words halt immediately after seeing who was standing a few feet in front of her.
"Oh hi Luna!" Mackenzie says, eyes widening as she smiles at her. Her smile slowly changes into a smug smile, "I wouldn't worry about my lipstick, you have bigger issues." The other girls that had been in there with her fakely laugh and nod in agreement.
Luna nervously laughs feeling small as the older girls tower over her, "haha right, um I'll be off." Luna tries to move forward but Mackenzie sticks her arm out blocking her from escaping.
"Actually Luna, I think we need to have a chat first," she says. Luna gulps and starts talking small steps backwards trying to put as much space between them as she can.
"Um sure, what about?" Luna asks. She continues to grow anxious, she begins making herself smaller by rolling down her hoodie sleeves so they hang over her hands.
"Oh sweetheart you know," Luna tenses up hearing the pet name she's grown to love being used against her. "You see Jin is a nice boy, he doesn't want to break your innocent little heart, so he is getting me to break the news," she says in a mocking tone.
Luna feels her throat close slightly, not over what idiocy she is being served. More the fact that her back is against the wall and the older girls are beginning to close in around her.
"Nothing to say sweety?" Mackenzie says in a lovey dovey voice as she continues to taunt Luna.
Luna stands there in silence and shock, no words coming to her mouth to defend herself.
"Pity," one of Mackenzie's friends chimes in. Mackenzie smirks at the girl then turns back to Luna. The two minute warning bell goes off making the older girls sigh, they back off and grab their bags.
"I'll be having a chat with you again soon, okay sweetheart." Mackenzie says acting innocent again, a fake smile adorned her face. She then leaves soon after, the rest of her friends rushing out to try and keep up with her.
Luna steps away from the wall, moving to a mirror to look at herself. She places the lipstick on the side of the sink, he hadn't even realized she still had it in her hand. When Luna sees herself she can't help but notice how miserable she looked. She had a few tear stains dried on her face that had started falling at some point when she was against the wall. Luna splashes some water on her face quickly, grabbing a paper towel to pat it down, though it does nothing to help her as new tears start to fall.
"Luna?" Jisoo says and she enters the bathroom. She lets out a gasp as she sees the younger girl's face, she rushes over and pulls her into a hug. "What happened?" she asks concerned, moving back and putting her hands around Luna's wrists.
"I just poked my eye, and then started to cry." Luna fibs. Jisoo gives her an annoyed look, obviously not believing her story.
"You can trust me, it can stay between us okay." She says softly, her hands quickly coming up and wiping the new tears that had started to fall. Luna sniffles and opens her arms, Jisoo hugs her again.
The bell that starts class goes off, but neither girl moves. Luna weeps in her arms, trying to ignore the buzzing of her phone.
"Who did it?" Jisoo asks this time staying hugging her.
Luna sniffles before answering, "Mackenzie, Jin's ex."
"Oh that bitch!" Jisoo practically yells. Luna lets out a chuckle into her shoulder. "I'll fight her for you okay," Jisoo tells her, grabbing her face in her hands. Luna lightly smiles at her, the tears slowing down dramatically.
"Thanks Jisoo, I appreciate it." She says wiping her nose.
"I'm here whenever you need me, you're my friend!" she tells her with a big smile. Jisoo watches as Luna starts to rinse her face off from the tears, Jisoo looks down at her phone to see 3 missed calls and ten messages from Jin. "Your boyfriend is worried," she says to her.
"Oh yeah," Luna says as she slides her hand into her pocket grabbing her phone out. "Oh my, he called me ten times, and messaged me twenty-seven times," Luna says feeling guilty.
"Don't feel bad, he just wants to make sure you are alright," Jisoo shrugs. "How do you feel now?"
"I'm alright," Luna says to her, grabbing the lipstick off the sink and chucking it into the garbage. "Let's go" she says making her way to the entrance, Jisoo quickly catches up to her and walks in front just in case.
"Jisoo is Lun-" Jin's words stop as he sees Luna, it was evident that she was crying recently. His hand reaches up and cups the side of her face, "Are you alright Sweetheart?"
At the sound of the pet name Luna's composer broke, her face scrunches as she begins to cry. Jin is quick to scoop her up in a hug, her face smushed into his chest. Her hands fist at the material of his sweater, trying to keep him close to her.
From beside them Jisoo gives the couple a sad look, she then walks off knowing there is nothing she can do anymore.
"Luna, what's the matter?" he asks her as he rubs her back. Luna stays silent and continues to hold onto him, not wanting to say anything about the petty ex because she didn't want to sound jealous or overprotective of him.
"Luna, come on talk to me." He says moving back slightly from her, before he can get anywhere her hold on his sweater helps her pull him back flush with her. "Tell me please" he whispers to her as he rests his head atop hers.
"Um well someone just was being mean," she says leaving off every major detail.
Jin sighs from above, "Luna be honest with me."
"Promise you won't be mad or annoyed," she asks him.
"I promise," he says. He moves down and presses a long kiss to her hair, trying to ensure her.
"So well, you know Mackenzie, your ex?" she asks.
Jin rolls his eyes at her name, "yup. I know her."
"Well um, three weeks ago she kind of came up to me and asked if we were dating, and she was a bit mean and said that whenever she wanted you back she could get you and that I should be worried." Luna says before she sniffles while taking a breath. "Then uh about a week and a half ago she came up to me and told me you two were talking and I should be scared."
"To be clear I haven't talked to her since the end of grade 9 when I dumped her." he says looking visibly annoyed.
"I figured she was just crazy, but she was still mean." Luna frowns. "So then today when I went into the bathroom I accidently bumped her and then her and her friends cornered me as she told me that you wanted to break up with me."
"She cornered you!" Jin exclaims, "What the hell, are you okay?" Jin begins to get frazzled, he feels bad for not being there for her earlier.
"Um yeah, I'm okay. Let's just move on with our lives." Luna proposes seeing the anger starting to come to him.
"No, she can not get away with doing that!" he says sternly to her, making Luna nod. She had her lip between her teeth, lightly biting on it as she looked concernedly at Jin.
He opens his phone and goes straight for snapchat. He searches her name and finds her snap. "I'm adding her so she can come here, and I can talk to her." He tells Luna, making sure she understands what he's doing.
"I understand, can we move though?" Luna asks.
"Yeah let's go to the empty hallway," Jin says, grabbing Luna's hand and immediately heading towards the hall.
♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡
Jin sends Mackenzie a vague message, saying something along the lines of meet me in the back hallway. Not even a minute after the message was sent, rapid footsteps are heard racing down the hall.
Mackenzie opens the hall door with a large smile on her face, quickly running to where Jin stood leaning against the wall. In her happiness she missed the other pair of feet standing there.
"Hi Jin!" She calls, the happiness very evident in her voice. "I see you finally came to your senses and wanted the best thing you ever had back!" she says.
Luna scoffs from beside him, her voice echoes down the hall making Mackenzie freeze. Jin moves off the wall far enough for Luna to be seen with a scowl on her face.
"What is going of Jinniepooh?" Mackenzie says in a whiny voice.
"Why don't you tell me what's going on?" Jin retorts back to her.
"What could you possibly mean?" she says with a shocked reaction.
Jin rolls his eyes at her, he turns back to Luna giving her a little smile. Luna gives him a little smile back but then quickly returns to her frown.
"Look I don't know what she has said to you, but I-" she pauses for a moment as she musters up a tear. "I, I am the victim here" she says pointing at herself. "She has been bullying me because we dated before, and she obviously is threatened by me."
Luna's mouth hangs open when she hears what just came out of the girls mouth.
"Hey! Don't turn into the victim in this situation, she is the sweetest little thing. She would never hurt a fly, or anyone even if they hurt her first. She is not threatened by you! She is way better for me then you ever were, or could ever pretend to be!" Jin says to her loudly.
Mackenzie scoffs at his words, an angered expression is on her face as she thinks of something to say back to him. "Well, uh, maybe you should stop pretending she is something that she is obviously not. I'm better for you, and you should break up with her and get back with me, I won't hold any of this against you" she almost pleads.
Jin sighs, "Look Mackenzie, you are my ex for a reason! You are a horrible person so don't even try to pretend to be a good person. Especially after you guilted me into dating you, and then terrorising every single girl I talk to."
"I have not terrorised every girl you talk you," she says with digust.
"Oh sorry, every girl but Jisoo. Because you know she'll pummel you." He says annoyed.
Luna awkwardly stands there watching the two bicker. She is confused at things they keep referring to, but she tries to follow along.
"She would not!" Mackenzie whines back, "You know what! I don't want to date you anymore!" She whines running away down the hall.
Luna raises her eyebrows in confusion and relief. "Is she scared of Jisoo?" Luna asks Jin.
"Mmmm probably, most people are." He says back, his arms coming to wrap around her. "I'm sorry she bothered you, promise me that if she talks to you again you will tell me okay."
"I will," Luna says with more certainty than the first time she said it.
