✩ ! includes :: flufffff | healing. spring setting. jin x fem!reader. long distance friends-to-lovers. a bit of domesticity, indirect touches, yearning, kiss request, kiss 770 words. notes :: this fic is my little celebration of bts’s 12th anniversary 💜 and the long-awaited return of most of the members from their military service. ik yoongi’s still finishing up, but this just felt like the right time to write something healing, and full of love — because that’s what bts has always been for me [and for so many of us]. i wanted to capture that feeling of coming back, and finding joy in the little, ordinary moments. here’s to all the years we’ve spent growing with them, and all the ones still ahead 🥹💜 happy 12th anniversary, bts. welcome back [almost] 🫶🏼
The early spring air is thick with the scent of flowers still dripping from last night’s rain. The world outside Jin’s windows is painted in watercolor pastels; pink blossoms against a fading blue sky, and the faint bell of a bicycle somewhere in the alleyway below rings like a passing memory.
You sit on the floor wrapped in the softest throw blanket you could find in his linen closet. Jin is making jasmine tea with honey—your favourite. He remembers, so he insists that the first thing you have is tea.
And in the hush of this golden afternoon, you realize how much you miss the feeling of shared spaces.
He returns a minute later, hair tousled in that prince-charmingly-casually-handsome way that makes your heart skip for reasons you’d stopped trying to explain. He holds out your mug with that familiar playful glint in his eyes.
“Did you enjoy yourself last night?” he teases, as if last night’s dinner and late-night rooftop dancing aren't already seared into your soul.
You nod with a soft laugh, sipping the hot tea carefully. “I did. Very much.”
He settles beside you, legs outstretched, pinky brushing yours. It's not holding, just... indirect. It's warm, familiar and divine.
“I miss moments like this more than anything,” you admit, the words surprise even yourself. You weren’t expecting to say it out loud, but perhaps that’s what Jin does; he makes you feel safe enough to speak.
He turns his face to you fully, expression profound and unguarded. “For you, I would pause the world,” he says voluntarily. “Just to make sure you never forget what peace feels like.”
Your chest tightens, but it's not painful, just a deep ache, a yearning. You study his profile, the curve of his lashes, the crease near his brow that forms when he’s thinking. He always is more than the average kind of beautiful. Contrary to his rare occasional own self-deprecating jokes, there’s nothing ordinary about your old friend, Kim Seokjin.
“I’m so in love with you,” you whisper, confessing, the words slipping out involuntarily as though they have been waiting for a lull in the conversation to surface. You aren't even sure if he hears it—your voice barely breaks the stillness between you, but there's something in the way he shifts, just slightly, that tells you he has. And of course he has. Jin always hears you; not just because of the things you say, but the things you mean, the ones that live beneath the surface and don’t always make it into words.
He turns to you then, but with that calm attentiveness that feels more intimate than any silly grand gestures. His smile, when it comes, is soft and ready, as if what you said didn’t surprise him but still mattered a lot.
“I love you too,” he says without any hesitation, his tone firm but gentle, like he’s not saying it to match your vulnerability but because it’s the plain truth. “More than I know how to show, honestly. Some feelings aren’t built for neat expression.” His hand finally finds yours, no more indirect. His fingers thread with yours, thumb sweeping across your knuckles. A kiss without lips.
“Kiss me?” you ask.
He doesn't hesitate for even a second. His lips are warm and patient, like he knows you're still learning how to be whole. He doesn’t rush—just presses his love into you like a slow promise.
Your heart stutters. Maybe healing doesn’t come in one grand gesture. Maybe it is this. One shared afternoon, one kiss, one memory stitched carefully over the bruised parts. You lean into his shoulder and close your eyes.
“I don’t think I can live alone again,” you murmur.
He chuckles, the sound vibrating through you. “We can move to the countryside. Get a dog. Paint the walls pink. Or blue, maybe. Whatever you want.”
“We could get arrested for this,” you joke, not knowing what to reply to that, motioning toward the mug you definitely stole from the high-end restaurant last night.
He grins wide. “Worth it. That mug had your favorite flowers on it. For you, I would steal all the overpriced pottery in Seoul.”
You laugh until your stomach hurts, and for once, it doesn’t feel like the world is pressing in on you.
Healing doesn’t ask for a degree of perfection. It asks for space, and Jin, in all his softness and wit, is a universe made entirely of room: for you, your flaws, your silence, your joy.
You don’t say anything else. You just rest there held by time, in love, in recovery. And it is enough.
Imagine sitting on JINS lap as he plays one of his computer games. His eyes locked on the screen - at least, that's what it seems. His left hand, however, tells a different story, as it rests between your legs, curling inside you with slow, deliberate precision.
Your soft moans break his concentration, pulling him away from the game more than he'd like.
Yet, he never falters with you - his thumb circles your clit, teasing, dragging more needy sounds from your lips.
He mutters frustrated curses at the screen - but between each word, he whispers little praises against your ear. Eyes flickering away from the game as he kisses your shoulder - while you squirm on top of him.
"You wanted me so badly, even while I was playing," he murmurs, his voice thick with amusement. His grip tightens just slightly as you squirm in his lap. "Don't run now, princess."

kim seokjin, expensive gifts
everything about this man is about wealth and elegance. jin definitely likes to flaunt his fancy suits, imported cars, and lush jewelry, but he prefers to do it all when it comes to you. yes, he sends gifts to your workplace and everyone’s keep wondering what's in that little Versace bag. he constantly gives you distinct gifts, the most extravagant. jewelry, high heels, dresses, bags. but he never does it to show that he obviously has money, but because he wants you to have a comfortable life too. it's his way of showing love and affection. then he presents you with a beautiful dress and a diamond choker, only to sit in an armchair in the hotel room later that night and pour himself a glass of ice and whiskey. "take it off for me." is all he says. he watches you disentangle yourself from the dress, slowly running down your body. and you feel cheap, nefarious, undressing in front of your boyfriend, as he watches you, wearing a million dollar worth suit. then afterward, he brusquely fucks you in front of the window, with you wearing only the jewelry he gave you.
min yoongi, his muse
it's common knowledge that min yoongi writes and produces his own music and he does it in favor of art, of course. but behind all the genius lyrics and rap, there's an inspiration: you. and yoongi finds inspiration in the littlest things that many consider worthless. he’s a simple man but he loves you despite everything. it doesn't matter if he's singing about an ostentatious life or the difficult stages of coping with anxiety and depression: you're behind every letter, every syllable, every meaning. the love he feels for you is so intense, that on a day-to-day basis, he wakes up, seeing you breathing lightly, your body on top of his, and thus, he feels refreshed, because he has a muse. not only the love and support you give him, but also the forbidden meetings in his studio, when he’s overworked and stays up until late night producing and working. you sneak through the halls, taking advantage of the moment to see him. you love each other there, with the achingly insane idea that getting caught by someone is reckless. but you don't care about anything else when he's inside you, hands buried in his hair, hissing babbles in every kiss and every touch.
kim namjoon, soft dates
you've known namjoon too long to discern the parallel life he leads. the man who takes the stage, throwing bars everywhere, making people go insane with that persona, isn’t the same namjoon you know. the namjoon who likes to go to museums with you. which explains his favorite work of art that he knows by heart. he likes to be reserved and have a simple but meaningful life with you. that means spending the day at the beach, walking and having fun. eat cheap but tasty food in places no one else knows but him. enjoy nature, have outdoor picnics, where he prepares sandwiches and fresh fruit for the two of you. namjoon’s romantic and values comfort. it also results in classic movie nights and the two of you trying to piece together a gigantic marvel puzzle, just to prove you can do it. namjoon also likes to make love. slow, passionate, with his hands over yours as he worships your body. spending time with you is what he loves most, aside from the music and career he has.
jung hoseok, traveling
if there’s a man who’s eager to know the world, new cultures, that man is hoseok. but he prefers to have these experiences with you. so whenever possible, he tries to book a trip for the two of you. whether in romantic nights in hawaii, riding a speedboats and having fun day and night on the most paradisiacal islands or making out sessions in the pool, with few lights on with tropical cocktails. he wants to know everything and everyone at the same time, try foods, get to know cultures, see important places, learn about everything. so that makes you his faithful accomplice on all trips. in paris, under the light of the city of love, or on excursions in a paradisiacal place in brazil, where you have contact with nature and everything seems too magical to be true. hoseok wants to fill out his passport pages, but it's only worth it if you're together. and on every trip, he makes sure to have some kind of amulet, so you can never forget the amazing times you've had together during all these trips around the world.
"Let's go Jeon clan, another victory dinner!" Luna's father calls out from the front seat as he opens his car door. The rest of the family follows his actions and exits the car and heads into the restaurant. Luna follows behind Jungkook and back hugs him as they walk.
"I'm cold." She whines to him as they walk to the hostess stand.
"Put pants on." He grumbles as she makes him walk funny. He chuckles when he hears her whine and pout.
A girl who was sitting on the stool gave the family a big smile. "Welcome to Kim's Kitchen! Is it just the four of you?"
"Yes!"
"Do either of them want a kids' menu?" She asks, smiling brightly at the twins.
"Do they have colouring sheets?" Their dad asks with a laugh.
"Yes they do!" She laughs back. "Would they like them?"
"Yes!" The twins exclaim at the same time before laughing together.
"Wonderful, I'll lead you to your table." She says grabbing two adult menus and two kid menus. She takes them to a booth table in the far side of the restaurant, away from the two other tables of people who happened to be at the restaurant at nine. The server places one menu down before turning back to the family. "What's the seating arrangement?" She asks with a giggle.
"Twins on one side, parents on the other." Their mother says to her.
"Oh you're twins!" She says shocked, "That's so cool! I hope to have twins one day, how was it raising them?" she asks as she finishes putting the menus down.
"Depending on the day, these two are either two angels or two devils together." Their mom says sitting down in the booth. "Today seems to be the devils." She says unamused as the twins are fighting over who gets the inside of the booth.
Luna groans as her brother slides into the booth first, "I'm the reason we're here." She pouts grumpily sitting down beside him.
"So?" Jungkook says, pushing her shoulder, "Sucks to suck." Luna sticks her tongue out at him before looking at her menu.
"Well, Seokjin will be your server, he'll be over to get your drink orders in just a moment. Have a good night!" She says waving to them before heading off towards the kitchen.
"Pass me some crayons." Jk says to Luna.
"No... Sucks to suck." She says going back to opening her packet up. Jungkook waits until she dumps the packet out onto the table before snatching them up. "Hey! Mom, he took my crayons!" she whines as he sticks his tongue out to her.
"Stop acting like children. Jungkook give her the crayons back, Luna give him the other box." She says without looking up from her menu. The twins both groan before passing the crayons over to each other.
Luna starts colouring the dragon that is on her menu, totally out of it and not focusing on the waiter who had just approached their table.
"Good evening, my name is Jin and I will be your server for tonight." Luna's eyes bulge out of her head as she looks down at her colouring page, not daring to look up at her crush. "I'll start you off with drinks, what would mom and dad like?"
Luna turns her head to Jungkook, he meets her gaze and tries not to laugh at her frantic state. "Tell him I want water." Luna mouths to him.
"And what could I get you Jungkook?" Jin asks. Luna bites her lip knowing that Jin knows it's her sitting there.
"I'll get milk please."
"Alright, and what can I get for you sweetheart?" Jin asks her.
Luna's face glows red as she hears the nickname he just used for her... in front of her parents. "I'll just get um... water please and thank you." She says looking up at him briefly before looking back down at the table.
"Of course Luna, I'll go get those drinks, if you're ready when I come back I can take your order." He says smiling at them before walking off.
Jungkook bursts into laughter after Jin has disappeared from view. "Is that the boy you've been talking about?" Their mother says leaning towards them like they were gossiping.
"Yeah." Luna says, covering her face in embarrassment.
"He's handsome." She says to Luna with a proud expression.
"Too handsome even..." Her dad says skeptically. "He looks like he swoons girls on the regular."
"He said he hasn't dated anyone in over a year." Luna says looking at her dad with narrowed eyes.
"And when did he tell you that exactly Luna?" Her mother asks sternly.
"They had lunch toget-"
"Shut up!" Luna says, slapping her brother's thigh.
A moment later Jin brings the drinks to their booth. "A coke for dad, milk for Kook, iced tea for mom, and water for Luna." Jin says as he passes them out to the family. "Do you guys know what you'd like to eat?" he asks, bringing out his notepad to write the orders down.
"I get bulgogi, and my wife will have bibimbap."
"Sounds good, how about you Jungkook?" Jin asks, writing quickly on the note.
"Samgyeopsal please."
"Do you want to cook it or would you like us to?"
"Could you please."
"Of course. Would you like tteokbokki Luna?" Jin asks, turning to her.
"Oh, yes please!" She says smiling that he knew her order.
"I'll go put your orders in, I'll be back soon." He says grabbing the parents menus before walking back to the kitchen.
"You went on a date with him?" Her mother asks, furrowing her eyebrows.
"No, I went out with him and his friends for lunch last Friday." She explains biting the inside of her cheek.
"Why am I only finding out now..."
"Because I'm awkward about this." She says sinking in her spot.
"Are his friends nice?" her dad asks.
"Yeah, especially Jisoo, did I tell you about her?"
"Wasn't she your leader for the freshie olympics?" she asks her daughter.
"Yeah, she's so fun! She took me out for lunch yesterday too!" Luna says smiling about her newfound friend.
"Yeah and you left me in the caf by myself again." Jungkook says pouting.
"We invited you!?" Luna says, slapping her brother's colouring hand.
"Hey! You made me go outside the lines." He complains before scribbling on her page.
"Oh goodness," Their parents sigh as they watch their kids fight over the silly colouring pages again.
"It'll be twenty minutes until it's ready." Jin says coming over to the table, "Do you guys mind if I have a seat for a bit?"
"Yes of course dear!" Luna's mom says immediately after he asks. Luna scoots over towards her brother to allow for Jin to sit beside her.
"Thank you, so what brings you guys here so late?" Jin asks, his arm reaching up and over Luna's head to rest on the top of the cushion.
"Volleyball win!" Her dad exclaims proudly. "Undefeated so far this season." Luna quickly knocks on the table after hearing her dad's words.
"You can't say that every time dad, you're going to jinx me at some point."
"Sorry princess."
A moment of silence goes by before Jin starts talking again. "What position do you play?"
"Libero."
"Do they spike it?"
Luna giggles at the thought, "No, no way I could be a hitter, I can't reach over the net. Libero's are defensive players, basically I just pass to the setter."
"Well maybe I should come to one of your games and see you in action!" Jin says, "Text me when your next game is and I'll see if I can come."
"Oh ok, I'll be sure to!" Luna says, biting her bottom lip trying not to break out into a giant goofy smile.
"What sport do you play again Kook?" he asks, leaning forward to see him. Luna's heart races as he scoots a bit closer to her, his thigh now touching hers.
"Soccer mainly, but I'll play any sport really."
"Nice! Hey, you should come out for the school basketball team, it's so much fun!" Jin tells him, "I'm sure you'd be a great asset for the junior team!"
Jungkook nods to Jin, "Maybe I will then." Jungkook quickly goes back to colouring in his dragon.
"Jin come back here!" A man's voice yells out from the kitchen.
"Well that's my cue, I'll be back with your food shortly!" Jin says, he squeezes Luna's thigh with his hand quickly before sliding out of the booth and heading to the kitchen.
Luna watches him as he walks away, just as she is about to look away she catches him turning his around to look back at her. They make eye contact for a moment before she flicks her gaze away back to her table. Luna sets her elbow down on the table and rests her chin on top of her hand. Her mouth opens in shock as she stares blankly at the table.
Her family looks at her with concern as she sits unmoving. "I think she shut down..." Kook says, bending his neck around to look at her face.
Their parents sit there shaking their heads at their daughter and her very smitten reaction. "Luna?" Her mother asks. Luna hums back to her, still unmoving. "I know he's handsome, but you need to recover soon before he comes back to a statue."
Luna finally moves at her mom's words, she slumps down into her spot, her back resting against the booth. She sits there looking at her family who were seemingly done with her and her blushing mess. She looks at the hallway where the kitchen must attach to, waiting to see him come back so she could sit back up.
She stares at persistently for a couple minutes before he starts walking out with a tray of food. She sits back up in her seat and bites the inside of her cheek to stop any reactions she may have.
"Okay, let's see we have bulgogi and bibimbap for the parents... Samgyeopsal for Jungkook... and some tteokbokki for Luna. Enjoy!"
"Would you like to come sit again dear?" Her mother asks to be a bug to her daughter.
"No no, it's okay, but thank you. I need to help my dad clean up for the night." He says pointing over his shoulder to the kitchen.
"Alright, have a good night then!" She says smiling to him. "It was nice to meet the boy my little Luna's been crushing on."
"Mom!!" She yells in shock, her eyes glossing over at her mom's embarrassment.
"Well um, good to know... um see ya..." He says awkwardly, he stutters in his movements not sure if he should just walk away or give her the hug he had intended to give her. He looks at her expression and walks back over to her. He bends down and wraps her up in a one arm hug. "I'll see ya later sweetheart..." He says softly, his lips twitch up into a quick smile when she wraps her arms around his torso.
"Bye... I'm sorry about her..." Luna says letting go of him.
"It's alright." He says before giving her a peck to the side of her head. He then lets go of her and backs away, he nods to the family before quickly walking off. His eyes widening in shock of what he just did.
By the time the family was done, Jin hadn't recovered from what he'd done so he made his dad see them out. Which had taken much longer than he'd hoped, their dads couldn't stop talking about hockey and their mutual favourite team.
Once they leave Jin could finally let out a deep breath... "gosh I'm in for it now" he thinks to himself throwing his head back.
"I'm sure Army would love to see you in golden hour, want me to take some pics?" Lillian asks from the other side of the table they were sat at having a cute little date. She had come into the Hybe building with a container of cookies and pastries she had baked earlier that day.
Jin had then brought her up to the little cafe esc place that had a self serve coffee bar. The two had then sat at an empty table near the large window. It felt like it was out of a movie, the sun was providing the perfect lighting that made their date feel so cozy.
"Only a bit." Jin says winking to her, he lets out a breathy chuckle as her mouth goes into a o before bites her lips together and looks down at her coffee with a blush on her cheeks. "You're cute, love." He says pushing his chair out so he could stand.
Lillian follows along while staying looking at the ground as she moves. Jin shakes his head at her as she struggles to push her chair in. He stands there and watches her finally get her chair tucked in, she starts walking towards him without looking at where she is going.
Lillian follows along while staying looking at the ground as she moves. Jin shakes his head at her as she struggles to push her chair in. He stands there and watches her finally get her chair tucked in, she starts walking towards him without looking at where she is going.
He laughs when she walks straight into his chest, "Watch where you're walking baby."
Lillian's face scrunches up as her face heats up as from the incident. "hehe sorry." she says biting her lip before slipping away from him.
Jin smiles with loving eyes as she walks away from him and heads towards the window. He follows her to the window, slipping his phone out of his pocket.
"Here, take them on my phone." He says holding it out to her.
"What's wrong with mine?" She asks raising a brow at him.
"It's a bit difficult to take them when it's sitting on the table." He shrugs casually. She pouts looking back at the table.
"You're lucky I'm too lazy to walk over there." she says annoyed before grabbing his phone out of his hand. She presses the power button, a photo of the two of them hugging in their bathroom pops up as the homescreen. She smiles at the memory before punching in his code... the same code since the day they started dating…
Once she opens the camera up she looks up to see him with his waist resting against the metal sill. He was already in model mode and looking out into the room, giving her the perfect angle to capture his side view. She snaps dozens of photos as she moves around trying to catch the best lighting she can to make him look as handsome as she can.
"Can I move yet?" He asks, laughing as she acts like a professional photographer.
"No!" She says holding up her finger and shaking it at him. Jin throws his head back a bit and lets out his loud laugh. Lillian’s jaw drops as she starts holding the circle down to snap photos non stop. She stares at his visible neck in awe as he laughs.
"Woah woah woah! Don't use all my storage!" He yells out once he notices her taking all the photos. Lillian panics and takes her thumb off the circle in surprise.
She nervously laughs as she opens the camera roll only to see the entire page of Jin laughing. "I haven't used it all, yet..." She says winking at him.
Jin shakes his head while looking at her, "Gosh I love you." He says looking at her with loving eyes. Lillian looks at him over the screen and meets his eyes.
"I love you too." She says smiling genuinely at him. The two stare at each other happily, and almost in a challenge to see who will look away first. Lillian stays staring at him even as she begins to snap photos of him.
Jin pushes himself off the sill and turns to face her, "Come stand with me." He says beconning her over with one of his arms.
"One second..." She mumbles, unwillingly looking away from him to look down at the phone. She scrolls through the recent photos, a blush creeps its way back onto her cheeks as she thinks about the moment that had just passed. "Are you coming babe?" He asks, looking at her with his hands in his pockets.
She pears over the phone and looks at him before nodding, he sends her a quick smile before looking out at the city. She awes at him for a moment before snapping a few more photos.
Lillian then walks over to him, standing just a few inches in front of him. Jin looks away from the city and back to his personal favourite view. She looks up into his eyes as she leans forward and lets her body rest against his.
Her arms weave through his arms which are still in his pockets, she wraps them tight around him so she is pressed right up against him. Jin smiles down at her and pulls his hands from his pockets and brings them to hold her.
"We should do this more." He says pressing his lips against her forehead. "I missed out on a couple weeks so I need to make up for them." He says licking his lips as he looks down at her. "Guess maybe to make up you need to make out."
―new years don`t make me happy. it only reminds me of another pile of my definite past sitting upon the others. it makes me unsure of what my future holds. my future which is indefinite, as if looking through my train`s window, on a foggy winter morning. i`m like the plant my mother tried growing at our balcony - which doesn`t seem to like blooming into a flower, rather to only remain like a child in its own world of innocence.
Jin had just finished a busy period of promotions with BTS, and you had managed to finally get him all to yourself. Normally your dates with Jin consisted of doing something or going somewhere, but tonight you just wanted to be with him. And he quite liked the idea of not doing much after such a hectic work schedule.
You had spent all evening on the sofa in front of the TV and you could have sworn you'd started sat next to each other like two normal people. At this point, however, you were just a mess of limbs, laying entwined in each other as the screen flickered in front of you.
"We should do this more often," you mumbled into Jin's chest as you nuzzled against him.
He simply hummed in agreement as his fingers played mindlessly with your hair. You were still a moment longer, not really paying attention to whatever was playing. If you could, you have paused time as you enjoyed your boyfriend's presence, just taking in every aspect of having him beside you again, how his embrace felt, the smell of his cologne. It was then that you pulled back slightly so that you could look up at his face. Sensing your movement he looked back at you, smiling slightly.
"What?" he questioned.
"Just enjoying looking at your real-life face, instead of seeing it through a screen," you informed him.
He let out a laugh. "Is it even more handsome in person?" he asked you, placing one hand on his cheek in a display of aegyo.
"Modest as ever," you said, shaking your head slightly.
"You're the one who was admiring my face," he retorted. "But I do like yours too."
"Good. You're stuck with it now."
Jin smiled at you, placing a quick kiss on your nose. When he saw it made you smile back, he proceeded to peck every inch of your face his lips could reach. You began to squeal and try to wriggle away, but he held you tight to him.
"Thank you," you laughed out, "That's enough."
"It will never be enough," he corrected.
Quickly, you pressed your lips to his before he could continue his onslaught. He happily sank in to the tender kiss, he grip on you relaxing as one hand headed back to your hair, leaving one resting on your waist. Your hands braced yourself against his broad shoulders as you savoured the feel of his lips on yours, gladly accepting all the love and adoration he poured into the embrace.
