¡No te preocupes!
“¡Deja salir a Chica!”
“¡Vale! ¡Pues no me hables!” “No quiero volver a estar sola…” Parece haberse calmado unpoco… “¿En serio…?” “¡SI! ¡Quiero decir! ¡Prometo no soltarte lamano!
“Foxy, Meg ¡A cenar!”

Merry Christmas Eve (to those who're celebrating)! We've made it to the last advent artwork~
I couldn't figure out how to fit in as much of the Anthro families in one single drawing, so this one got spliced up into 3 different drawings. Y'know, the more the merrier!
𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐭 𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰, Chapter Five: "Family for Christmas"
While the kettle warmed up, Fredrick wheeled himself out of the kitchen to greet everyone as his brother let them in. Their nieces and nephews let themselves in, with their sisters, brothers-in-law following after—Vix and Foxy keeping the kids from tracking in too much snow inside.
"Merry Christmas!" Junior excitedly exclaimed, he and his siblings promptly taking their snow gear off—a pile of snowy mittens, coats, toques and such quickly growing by the front door. Bonbell ruffled the fur on the young fox's head, chuckling at all their enthusiasm. "Merry Christmas to you guys, too!"
"We're glad you all could make it over here, with the snow and such." Fred commented, to which Bonnie chuckled a little while he removed his scarf. "And we're glad it stopped snowin' last night! Would've ruined the shovelin' we helped with yesterday..."
Putting his phone in his vest's inside pocket, Puppet made his way into the living room. "Now then," He began, sitting down cross legged on the floor beside his daughters. "Whose ready for their gifts?" The question prompted excited cheers from the Minireenas, the adults laughing together as Puppet began picking out how to give the gifts that could be opened that morning.
"Alright, alright!" Puppet said, gesturing for his excited daughters to stay sitting. He started looking over the name tags on the wrapped gifts. "Now, let's see here..."
"Speakin' of gifts," Fred Bear began, setting his now-tuned-ukulele out of the way for the time being. "Can't speak for the rest of y'all, but I'm eager to give mine out!" He stated. Bernadette handed a bright-eyed Annie over to her sister, before clasping her hands together.
"In that case, Papa," She got up from her seat to kneel next to the Christmas tree. Chica did the same, more so to keep her mother-in-law from being the only one sitting on the floor. "We'll start with your gifts for everyone!" Bernadette stated, beginning to pick out gifts labeled as from Fred Bear, and handing them off to Chica who began giving them to everyone.
And as the family began giving presents off to one another with warm smiles on all their faces, the bright sun outside seemed to light up the room all-the-more in almost a magical way.

Taking another lick of her candy cane, Jessie pointed a thumb over her shoulder. “Go get ye’s a candy cane.” She said. Luca blinked. “Huh?” Jessie looked up at him, now nodding in the direction of the kitchen. “Get a candy cane, ‘n return with another blanket!” Luca hummed, and turned to leave the living room.
Jessie returned her attention towards the Christmas tree, continuing to eat her candy cane while listening to Luca’s footsteps as he entered the kitchen. She heard him take a candy cane from the bowl on the table, then promptly leaving the kitchen to head back into the living room again. Luca grabbed a folded blanket from beneath the coffee table, unfolded it, and wrapped it around his shoulders before finally sitting down beside Jessie.
“Okay, I’ve got my candy cane and a blanket,” Luca said. “... Now what?” Jessie simply smiled, briefly giving her adopted brother a side glance. “Now, we’s sit.” She told him. Luca was still a bit confused. He unwrapped his candy cane, and began eating it while Jessie looked back up at the tree. “Sit, and what?”
“Sit ‘n look.” Jessie added. Luca decided to follow her gaze, he too now looking at the Christmas tree. It was especially magical looking thanks to the darkness everywhere else. Resulting in it being the sole source of light in the room.
The two sat together in silence for a few minutes, both eating their candy canes as they did. By the time Jessie at the last of her’s, Luca spoke up again. “Yeah… I think I get why you like doing this.” Jessie nodded. Her brother turned to her. “Should we get Junior and JJ up tomorrow?”
“Aye, we must!” Luca quietly giggled. There came another moment’s silence.
“Maybe we can bring down our pillows to sit on.”
“Aye…. I knew I’d forgot somethin’ this time!” They both giggled, this time almost needing to hold a hand up to keep from laughing aloud.
Snow had been falling gently over the town since sunrise, showing little signs of stopping. It created for a serene, peaceful winter’s afternoon, as nobody felt like risking the roads before they were plowed. It was also perfect for kids on their Christmas break to head outside into the fresh, undisturbed snow.
Some were outside to make very careful, new paths in the snow, while others simply went about decorating their snow covered back and front yards with many a snow angle—each one unique from each other. And those who were doing neither, were testing to see how sticky the snow was, and if more snowmen or snow forts were possible.
“The snow is so perfect!” Junior happily noted. “Yup!” JJ agreed, “We just need to make sure the castle’s walls get built up so they can freeze over tonight.” She then glanced back to the front door of the house.

Teaser: Ch. 8
Featured Cast: Foxy (the pirate) Fox, Luca(Balloon Boy), Jenny(JJ), Jessie Fox, Foxy Junior Fox
Word Count: 490
"And our eyeglass was dropped in the ocean!" Luca reminded everyone, eliciting irritated groans at the fact. Foxy looked down at the grass. Their toy spyglass was hidden among the taller grass at the base of the tree. The fox quietly chuckled a little.
Jessie continued to scratch her head. "Argh! This is why a good pirate needs t'a have a loyal bird with them," She concluded. "So's they can send it out t'a see if it does be land we's be seein' in the distance!" At Jessie's comment, Foxy looked up into the tree again—stepping closer.
Before he could even open his mouth to speak, a wooden sword was being pointed his way. "Captain! The foxness sea monster is back!" Jessie's head turned immediately, spotting Luca pointing his sword towards Foxy. She quickly climbed to the branches closest to her dad, taking out her wooden sword to do the same as Luca. "I thought we fed ye to the fishes!"
"Aye, that y'e did~!" Foxy answered, playing along with his 'sea monster' voice for a moment more. "But, if I may..." He held his hands up in a surrendering manner, indicating his backing out of the game. Jessie's eyes narrowed. Lowering her sword, she broke character long enough to ask, "Do's we gotta go in already...?" Foxy chuckled and shook his head 'no'. Jessie grinned.
Jessie raised her sword again. "Then, state y'er business!" She demanded. "I heard ye's mentionin' somethin' about a good sailor needin' a trusted bird to accompany them on th' seven seas." The kids all gave Foxy curious looks, Jessie's eyes lighting up especially. She broke character again and asked, "Are's ye gettin' us a parrot, Papa?!"
"No," Foxy quickly corrected. Jessie's excitement disappeared as she muttered a small "aww, drats' in response. "I was just askin', because when I was a pup—oh 'bout your ages," Foxy gestured to Jessie and Junior. "My ol' father had himself a parrot." At that, eyes were widening. "Wait, actually?" Junior asked, he and Jenny getting closer to the side of the tree Foxy was stood at. "Aye, it's true."
The game was now put on pause. The kids all climbed from the branches, making it back on the grass as they wanted to hear more about their grandfather's pet parrot. "What kind of parrot was it, Dad?" Junior wondered. "An Amazon Parrot. Feathers we're practically all green, 'n his stomach's were 'bout as yellow as gold coin."
"Woah..." Junior awed, jaw partly agape. "And I's don't recall 'im havin' a name, we all simply called 'im 'Pa's bird'." Foxy continued, scratching his chin a little as he recalled his childhood memories of the bird. "Except fer me mother, she always called it an... eh, well we'll never mind what she called the bird." Jessie gave her dad a puzzled look. Though, she had more to ask about the parrot.
"Did his parrot help with sailin', Papa?"

MK nodded. "Cool. So, she did do flower crowns. What else?" At the following question, the four began trying to explain what each of them recalled of their dad's story on the subject. The result, however, was the Minireenas all ending up talking over one another to be heard as they spoke.
In all their confusing chatter, the sound of two more arrivals went unnoticed. Junior had scampered up the slide behind Plushy and MK, while Jenny climbed the steps across the platform from the spiral ladder.
The Minireenas' story telling attempt suddenly stopped when MK and Plushy suddenly shrieked all thanks to Junior sneaking up behind them. JJ and Junior laughed at their reactions, the rest of the kids following suite at the looks on their faces.
"Nice goin', Junior!" Jessie cheered, thoroughly amused by her twin brother. Plushy and MK began laughing once their racing hearts slowed to normal again, and at the same time, the kids were all approached by yet another person. "Everyone alright over here?"
"Yeah, Aunt 'Lora!" Luca replied, giving Ballora a thumbs up from his seat. Ballora curiously glanced over all the kids on the playground equipment, and was met with a few more thumbs up. She hummed. "Alright, just checking." She said to them, returning to the park bench—where Foxy now sat, too. Having just returned to the park with Junior and JJ.
Paying the grown ups no further mind, the attentions were back on the Minireenas again. "What're you guys talking about?" JJ wondered, making her way onto the monkey bars with Jessie and Rosette. "Minis are trying to tell us a story about their Grandma." Luca explained, voice raised enough to be heard from his spot.
"We know she made flower crowns on the first day of summer, but then we don't know if she also made flower bracelets or like little grassy baskets, also." Plushy explained next. JJ and Junior, understandibly, looked puzzled by the explanation. "Our Daddy tolded us the story the other day," Rosette began. "We's are tryna remember what the story was..."
"Oh," JJ hummed. Rosette and Jessie then watched as she stood up and balanced on two bars, and cupped her hands to her mouth. "Aunt 'Lora?" Ballora and Foxy both looked over at JJ, with Foxy answering her call before Ballora could. "Lassie, please sit b'fore y'a hurt yo'rself!"
"Sorry...!" JJ did as she was asked and sat, before then continuing with her question. "Did Grandma Marionette make flower bracelets or grass baskets?" Ballora blinked. "She, eh... Oh! Both, she knew how to make both!"
"Thanks!" The Minireenas all looked at each other with a donning realization upon hearing their mother's answer to JJ. Tina then gasped. "Ohhhh I's remember!"
