a/n: this gif of him smoking two cigarettes killed me, then gave me life and inspo<333 brain going brrrr, and YES OMG i'm doing oneshots and requests again!! enjoy, my loves!<3
I knew Roman would think I was the biggest loser on earth the second those three dreaded words escaped me; "I don't smoke,"
He remained emotionless, shrugging as he retreated the box of cigarettes he had been holding out in front of me. We stood behind the school, our backs leaning against the hard concrete wall as the sun fried the top of our heads. "Freak," he mumbled, rummaging his pockets in search of his lighter.
Excuse me? "You're a much bigger freak than I am," I felt my jaw clench involuntarily-- my frustration was certainly building. "At least I'm not smoking myself dumb."
Roman cocked a brow as amusement danced in his deep, green eyes; "Yeah?" he said, fishing two cigarettes out of the box. Why two? "And who are you to call me dumb? If anything, we're both dumb. We only know each other because we failed a test and had to retake it together.”
I hated how right he was. I hated any instance in which he was correct. A few weeks ago, we had gotten acquainted in that small room in building B during a retake of the hardest math test I had ever encountered-- the difference was that I had actually studied for the first one, and Roman had simply not shown up for it. It was only me, Roman, and some random substitute teacher who had been called in to make sure we wouldn't cheat. Thankfully, the teacher was incompetent enough to leave the room to chat with a friend on the phone, which was when Roman leaned over my desk and said we could use the calculator he had smuggled in under his shirt.
I would've failed that test if it hadn't been for him. And now, I was failing to show up to class because he said he didn't want to smoke by himself. I wasn't sure why I had agreed, seeing as I didn't smoke (clearly), but... it was Roman Godfrey. One look from him was enough to make any girl at this school faint, and being seen with him gave me a new status as one of the cool ones. I loved that feeling, reveled in the looks I would get walking down the hallway with him, and I honestly enjoyed it more than I probably should--
And ever since the retake, Roman and I had been friends.
Only friends.
Friends. Just friends. I wanted it to stay that way-- the Godfrey circus was not one I ever wanted to join.
Many things had changed in the weeks we had become acquainted, but one thing would not; I was not going to smoke. "Fine," I eventually muttered, crossing my arms over my chest. "We're both dumb, then."
Roman shifted, turning to me. Reacting, my eyes darted up at him, but I frowned as I was reminded of the amount of cigarettes in his mouth. Again-- why two? "Okay, Roman, that's taking the addiction too far,"
"Nu-uh," he managed to say with his mouth full. He also managed to smile, a knowing look in his eyes as he brought his hand up to his face. Roman left one cigarette between his plush lips, and I didn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to realize what he was planning to do with the other one.
I glared up at Roman as he held out the lit cancer-stick for me to take. "No," I prompted, shaking my head.
"Don't be a fucking wuss," he bit back, grinning down at me.
"I'm not!"
Roman rolled his eyes, kicking off the wall. "Come on, open up,"
I felt my breath catch in my chest as he placed himself in front of me. He was towering over me, practically caging me in-- "No,"
Roman's laugh was warm, yet menacing. "Have a puff, at least,"
"No!"
"What is up with you? Have you never smoked or something?"
"... Yeah, I haven't. So what?"
The following laugh was just as sinister. "I'll teach you, then,"
"I don't want you to teach me, drop it!--"
What happened next was beyond unexpected. Roman reached forward with his free hand, squeezing my nose shut with a harshness that hurt, which ultimately forced me to breathe through my mouth. Swiftly, he placed the cigarette between my lips, calmly taking a drag of his own before he pulled away.
As I inhaled the smoke, I managed to give him a proper kick before I succumbed to a heavy cough.
Roman only laughed. Over and over. The ridiculously pretty sound of it echoed through my brain as tears filled my eyes-- it felt like I was being choked by fire. Fire and smoke. Where was the fire alarm when I needed it? In my second act of rebellion, I threw my cigarette to the floor, stomping it repeatedly. "Hate you," was all I managed to force out, rubbing the tears out of my eyes.
Roman hummed, looking as amused as ever. He took a long drag from his cigarette, savouring the taste, savouring the smoke, before blowing out a perfect ring. It was clear that he had practiced that numerous times. I watched it evaporate into thin air as I tried to catch my breath, my gaze now darting to the single strand of brown hair that strayed from Roman's stylings, hanging over his eyes in a perfect, soft wave.
He caught me staring, his green eyes darting back at me with newfound challenge. His voice lowered, his next words coming out in a husky breath; "I'm gonna make you smoke yourself dumb if you don't stay away. Do you know that?" Roman watched my every reaction, my every movement-- "I told you I'm not just friends with girls. That's not how I operate."
I did my best not to shudder, but it was damn near impossible. Sure, Roman was pretty and he had told me this numerous times, but there was no way in hell anything would happen between us. I would never allow myself to fall into that category of girls. "We can be friends," I tried, blinking away my remaining tears.
Roman sighed, tilting his head as he stared at me like I was the dumbest little puppy he had ever seen. "No," he said, effectively sinking his words into stone. They were permanent, a statement to remember. "We're not going to be friends."
"... Why not?"
With a simple shrug, Roman threw his finished cigarette to the ground. "Because people don't usually want to fuck their friends," His strikingly green eyes darted back at me as a smirk formed across his lips. "And I so desperately want to fuck you."
A/N: This was supposed to be uploaded yesterday but I am a lazy writer lol. So pretend like this is a little something from me to all of you for V-Day. Also, this is my first FRIENDS fiction and really did not see many Chandler fics so here it is. Honest feedback is welcomed :)
Summary: You just moved to Paris for work and one day bumps into your high school best friend Chandler. Seeing him desperately in search of a place to stay, you invite him to stay with you. You were already in a relationship but would the entry of your best friend change anything for you?
Warnings: Swear words, mentions of sex, make-out, mention of alcohol, insecurity.
Word Limit: 2.5k
You were a woman in her late twenties who recently moved to the most beautiful city in the world, Paris. What could be more exciting to work for Gucci in the fashion capital itself? It had been a couple of months since you moved here, and Paris was nothing like your hometown Normandy. Sure both places were part of the territory of France but Paris was the city. Everything was fancy, different, and difficult.
Slowly and steadily, you were getting the hang of the big overwhelmingly serene city and one day you decided to explore a new restaurant that gave a perfect view of the river Seine while having your meal peacefully, You ordered yourself a bottle of white wine and chef’s special.
A familiar face approached your table with your wine, “Chandler?”
“Y/N?” he questioned.
The man was Chandler. Chandler Bing. He was one of your best friends from high school and you guys have not been in touch for the past six or some years.
“What are you doing here?” you asked.
“Umm, working.”
“I mean here in Paris?”
“I could ask you the same question Y/N,” you were confused at this attitude of his. But it was also true that Chandler could never answer any questions straight, this was him being classic Chandler.
“I work here, at Gucci. Isn’t that amazing? You tell me! I thought you were aspiring for uh… not a waiter I guess?”
He looked down at the floor in embarrassment and said, “I came here in Paris to get a new shot at life, I still am figuring out life.”
You asked him to join you at the table and you both started talking about the good old days when the only thing you had to worry about was school and stuff but now there are endless bills, a job, rent, appraisal, etc. You exclaimed, “I am surprised you still remember me.”
“Of course, I do, we were best friends. How can’t I?”
You sipped your wine and said “Well, because you were popular and certainly did not care about introverts like me. I mean we hung out a couple of times but still, you only talked to me when you had to copy notes or when you broke up with your girlfriends or boyfriends.”
Chandler chuckled awkwardly “and look where am I being popular and look at you! Having a real job in Paris and a decent place to live. Being popular couldn’t even get me a comfortable place to live.”
Even though you guys didn’t talk in a long time, he was your friend and you impulsively asked him to live with you as your roommate. It would be nice to have someone live with you in an unknown city who can also cook for you and crack you up with his witty jokes.
You put the offer in front of Chandler, and he was surprised as if you asked him for his kidney.
“Really? Would you be able to handle me as your roommate?”
“Handle you? What do you mean? What could you possibly do?” you questioned raising an eyebrow at him.
“Would you be able to keep your hands off your insanely hot roommate? Isn’t that against the rule or something?”
You scoffed, “Hot? You? Don’t think so highly of yourself Mr. Chandler Bing.”
You both chuckled and enjoyed a nostalgic meal by the river. Since then, Chandler was living with you, and it was blissful to have him back in your life.
One evening you came back home tired and all you wanted to do was relax on the couch, watch your favorite show, and eat something sugary. You opened the door and saw Chandler making out with an unfamiliar girl on the couch. As soon as you saw them you yelled “What the fuck Chandler?” and poor Chandler scared of you threw the girl off himself and she fell on the floor. Chandler quickly puts his shirt on while walking the girl out of the apartment.
“I am so sorry Y/N, by the way, this is Janice.”
The girl laughs in the most annoying way you have ever imagined and stretched her arm to introduce herself. You shake her hand and say “Bonsoir stranger, get out of my house. Au revoir.”
“Why is she so cold?” asked Janice while walking out of the door.
“I’ll explain it to you later baby, bye see you!” said Chandler.
“I told you not to bring girls over when I want the place to myself. And on the couch? Seriously? You have a room,” you complain.
“I could bring guys over if you want. I bet you’ll like that.” He winked at you smiling to himself. You groan at his response and go to your room slamming the door shut.
After a while, there’s a knock at your bedroom door, you open it and to your surprise see Chandler with hot sizzling brownies out right from the oven. You settled yourself in your bed with the brownies breaking the ‘no food in bed’ rule.
Chandler stands in front of you apologetically and says, “I am sorry, it won’t happen again.”
“No, it’s okay, I overreacted. I am PMS’ing and at work, I got yelled at by my boss. She doesn’t seem to like any of my ideas, and she even scolded me in front of my other colleagues.”
“I am sorry to hear that, but you are Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N. You show her that you are better than any of the other employees because I know you are, and I hope the brownies help with your PMS.”
He gently kissed the temple of your head and started walking out of your room. You ask him with a mouth full of brownies “Aren’t you gonna have these?”
“Nah I had a couple while baking. Do you need anything else? I am leaving for Janice’s place.” He asked before shutting your door.
You gave him a look and said “No, have fun!”
“Sure will!” he replied through the other side of the door.
On a lazy Sunday evening, you hopped on the couch where Chandler was watching television and put your head on his lap staring at the ceiling you shot a question at him casually, “Any plans for V-Day?”
“Nothing, why?” he replied.
You sat up straight to face and said, “Nah, I just wanted to know if you are doing anything because I am.”
“Going on a date? With me?” he smirked.
“Oh, you wish Chandler Bing.” You rolled your eyes and continued “of course, I am going on a date, with my boyfriend,” emphasizing the last phrase of the sentence.
“You have another man in your life that I didn’t know of?” he exclaimed.
“Okay drama queen, easy there. His name is Antoine, and you didn’t know because I was just looking for a fling but things serious and he asked me out on a real date. Additionally, I wanted to let you know that you can have the place all to yourself in case you want to invite any special somebody as I will be staying the night at his place.”
Chandler gave you a look from the side of his eyes and you just simply smiled.
Valentine’s Day finally arrived, not that you were a big fan of this day but you were in the city of love and you wanted to consume every square inch of love this city could give you. This was your first Valentine's Day in a city like Paris and you were genuinely excited. You wore a red bodycon satin dress revealing your sexy cleavage. You were feeling confident about your look and were deciding upon what shoes to wear until you heard a knock on the door.
“Who’s there, Chan?” you shouted from your bedroom.
Chandler opened the door and replied “A man with flowers” with a look of confusion on his face.
You came out of your bedroom looking chic and approached the man, both of them were startled to see you.
“Wow” exclaimed Chandler in awe under his breath.
Antoine became very conscious of Chandler’s reaction and looked at Chandler with apprehension. The air in the room was awkward but you turned it around by distracting your date giving him a peck on his lips and greeting him “Happy Valentine’s Day baby”
He kissed the back of your hand like a gentleman and gave you flowers. While you were putting the flowers in water the men introduced themselves to each other.
Chandler stretched out his arm saying “Hi, I am Chandler. I make jokes when I am uncomfortable.”
Antoine shook his hand and said “Bonjour! Chandler, what an unusual name.”
Chandler smiled at his response and added “Antoine what a usual name to find in Paris.”
You couldn’t help but giggle at his sassy answer. That was your best friend Chandler who will not be embarrassed by anyone even if it meant putting your relationship at stake.
The introduction of your boyfriend to your roommate was not smooth and easy as you hoped for, but you did not want anything to ruin your romantic date.
You were in Antoine’s car as he has driving he held your hand with his free hand. The night was bright, and the city lights were gleaming with the glow of love in the air. You could see lovely couples walking sideways off the road holding hands and spending time with their loved ones. It was a sweet evening.
Out of the blue Antoine asked a question, “Why didn’t you tell me you had a roommate?” You could hear insecurity in his words. You dodged the question by saying “Today’s our day honey, let’s not talk about him tonight.”
Since that day, you three use to hang out together. Though Antoine questioned a couple of times about Chandler and your relationship and insisted you stay with him instead. But you always use to change the topic because no one could have that much control over your decisions. You were the one in charge.
One night Antoine was staying over for the night and you both were just talking about random stuff staring at the ceiling and holding hands.
Out of nowhere, Antoine asked a question in a serious tone “So, who’s the better lover? Chandler or me?”
You were surprised to hear that and could not understand where all this coming was from.
“I mean there is no chance that you guys haven’t slept together ever, I could the way he looks at you and the way you change when you are around him.”
You sit up straight and in an irritated voice ask him “Where is all this coming from? How could you even say that?”
You both got out of bed and started arguing and yelling at each other. You did not even know how from one thing you came to a completely different topic. Whilst fighting you both reached the living room and Chandler came out of his room hearing your voices.
You did not expect to see him tonight as he told you he was working late. You felt bad fighting in front of him and wanted to take the argument somewhere private.
“What’s happening, guys? Is everything all right Y/N?” he asked with a concerned look on his face.
“Antoine let’s talk inside our room and Chandler is it nothing just a normal couple argument, you can sleep.” You suggested.
Antoine interrupted “No no no, you stay right here, it is all happening because of you. So, tell me how’s it going huh?”
Chandler still could not understand anything and asked, “How’s what going?”
“You fucking my girlfriend” yelled Antoine.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” questioned Chandler.
“Antoine for god’s sake stop accusing my best friend like that. Mind your tone!” you shouted.
Antoine starts coming at you in a rage and yelling at you. Chandler did not like the way he was talking to you so he comes in between defending you putting Antoine at a distance. Furious Antoine tries to punch Chandler out of his way and they start getting physical. Antoine was attempting another punch at Chandler until you yelled at both of them.
“Get out of my house right now, Antoine,” you demanded “No one gave you the right to talk about Chandler this way. You are such a manipulative, possessive, and insecure person. Get out right now, it’s over!”
Those words came out of your mouth in so much anger that you could not even realize what you were saying. Antoine grabbed his things and walked out of the apartment slamming the door hard.
“Y/N, are you okay?”
You ignore him and go into your room. Chandler stood in the middle of the living room thinking about whether to go in your room to comfort you or not. He decides on the former and knocks on your door and as he comes inside he finds you sobbing.
“I am so sorry Y/N, I know it’s my fault. I was hanging out way too much with you guys. I can understand why he feels what he feels. I will talk to him first thing in the morning and will move out.”
You hold his wrist and say “don’t you see what’s happening? It’s not your fault. Since high school, it had always been you. You came back into my life and so did my buried feelings for you. It changed everything.”
“You like me?” questions Chandler in shock.
“Of course, you dumbass.”
“How come you never said anything to me before?”
“I was afraid about the way you would react, and I did not want to ruin our friendship. What if I scared you off?”
Chandler gently wipes off your tears and hugs you “I would have never judged you. Out of all the girls or boys you were different Y/N. I was naturally attracted to you…I still am.”
Your heart skipped a beat hearing those words. You look deep into Chandler’s eyes and have long eye contact until Chandler hesitantly initiates a kiss. That night a stupid, sarcastic, and clumsy best friend turned into an insanely hot roommate whom you could not resist. You instantly gave in and started kissing him back with equal passion and hunger.
The night turned into the best sex you have ever had in your entire lifetime. It was gentle yet passionate and you could feel a connection that you have never experienced before.
The sun poured through your window, and another day had dawned in your life bringing new hopes and aspirations in your life. As you open your blurry eyes from sleep you find Chandler gazing at you.
“Argh you are watching me sleep, it’s so creepy.”
“I don’t care, you look so adorable while sleeping.” He cupped your cheeks and planted a sweet kiss on your lips.
“I…” you were cut off by the doorbell and you wondered who could be there at your door this early in the morning.
“I got it” suggested Chandler and realizing he is naked jumped back into the bed.
You chuckled and put on your night robe while tossing him his clothes. You go and open the door and see Antoine standing in front of you with your favorite flowers meanwhile when you were processing your thoughts, Chandler comes from behind shirtless asking “Who’s there sweetheart?”
Chandler freezes at his position on seeing your ex-boyfriend at the door and it follows a pin-drop silence between the three of you.

Forgive me ;A; School just started again, I had to tearfully bid my goodbye to summer break, and that resulted in this really late entry. @mintchocolateleaves @sup-poki ily’all !!
In the years Kaito has been legally allowed to drink, he’s made some pretty important discoveries about himself.
The first is that he really, really appreciates their guys’ night in. They do shots when they first start hanging out, sit in the corner of Saguru’s apartment (because he doesn’t have any roommates nor a girlfriend who would kick him in the ass for drenching the apartment with the smell of alcohol). He likes having his back against the cold concrete wall, the liquid cooling his throat as he feels the familiar buzz swelling in his stomach. But no matter how pleasant, it’s not really worth the shivering, anxious mess it makes him the next morning, when he’s trying to fight off the raging nausea.
He steers clear of tequila for a while after that.
So it probably should have been easier to foresee, the other discovery. Kaito and Heiji both bond really well. And they both can be really persuasive especially on the nights when Shinichi and Saguru want to be completely sober. Their excuse has always been the same—that they have jobs they want to keep. Come on, all of them have to go to work too in the morning, goddammit. Those two just don’t want to admit that they’re fucking lightweights.
Kaito just doesn’t want to be alone in his misery. Heiji knows this, knows that Kaito is a social drinker, likes it only when he’s got someone else worse off than he is. The Osakan himself is never one to back down from any challenges. And Kaito is an impressionable drunk, will do just about anything so long as someone thinks to ask. They’re an awesome pair.
The last discovery he makes isn’t so much a discovery as it is a revelation and an inquiry. And it isn’t so much made as it is stumbled upon in the dark with bare feet and a whole lot of disorientation. It happens one of the nights when all four of them were hanging out and drinking in the huge apartment that Kaito, Shinichi and Heiji share.
And Kaito finds out that he’s really bad at keeping things to himself like this, when it’s just the four of them, a little buzzed and a lot open. He feels like he could tell them anything, because they know him now, they’ve stuck together and survived four years of college. That’s saying a lot.
So he feels safe, and he doesn’t even turn to one of them when he says, “I haven’t said “I love you” to Aoko. Do you think I should say it now?”
He doesn’t even notice the room had been so loud until it goes silent. It feels like a blanket, thick and heavy and stifling, and he turns his head to find Heiji staring down at him incredulously from the couch. He’s sitting with one leg thrown over the side. It’s close enough that Kaito could reach out and grab his ankle down, if he wanted, if he didn’t feel like that might not be such a good idea right now. “She’s not here though,” The dark-skinned guy points out.
Kaito regards his roommate in annoyance, “Thanks for stating the obvious.”
Even Shinichi pipes up, “You mean, this whole time you two have been dating, you’ve never once said it to her?"
He winces. “Is it that bad?” he asks, because why the hell not? They’ve all shared secrets bigger than this, right? This isn’t even that big a deal, in the grand scheme of things, whatever that might be. “Although I probably shouldn’t ask you. I know you and Ran say it all the time.”
See, it’s unfair because their situations are completely different. Shinichi and Ran has been together since forever. The pair are a match made in heaven. Shinichi has a steady job as a professor in Tokyo University (The hottie of the Criminology Department, as Shinichi himself puts it.), and Ran is the star teacher in Teitan. Their relationship is solid. Their parents are also really good friends, and they’re bound to get married one day, if not soon. Shinichi is the type to, say, seize every opportunity he can get. That includes telling his girlfriend that he loves her every chance he can. But it’s also because he’s a big, sappy softie underneath his ever-silent and calculating exterior.
The sole reason Kaito has been hesitating to say it to Aoko is because he isn’t sure that he can make her happy like Shinichi does with Ran. He knows full well that Aoko loves him the same way, that she might even love him more than he does. Part of him has always been certain that she’s the one who he will grow old with, because he doesn’t want anyone but her. But what if she can finds someone else, someone better, who can offer her an even happier future for her? He’s an entertainer, for God’s sake, he doesn’t have an elite job in an elite university like his cousin does.
“Are you gonna do it right now?” Saguru asks, chuckling a little under his breath.
Kaito isn’t sure if he’s drunk enough to be that impulsive, just that he feels loose and comfortable. He doesn’t see what the big deal is. Except, it kind of is a big deal. Has been kind of a big deal for a while now, so much so that he’s been wanting to say it for years. Just to say it, because it’s felt like a weight on his chest for too long.
Also because he sees it in Aoko’s eyes, the flash of jealousy in her eyes whenever Shinichi and Ran calls out the three magical words to each other in the smallest of occasion here and there throughout the day. The hint of amusement accompanied by something none other than a dash of envy whenever Heiji and Kazuha calls each other by their infamous pet name “Ahou” like it’s their own version of “I love you”.
“Hang on there. I’m not like Kudo here who needs to say it every five seconds.” He can feel the corners of his mouth sneaking upwards. You know what, maybe he should do it right now. Aoko and the girls’ apartment is literally across the hallway.
If he does it right, it could be a good thing. And this too, is a good thing, this blossoming friendship. Because they are about to have a lot more milestones to achieve.
“Or, you know, you don’t have to verbally say it. Show that you love her through your actions,” Saguru points out, his slim fingers moving in a motion for Kaito to pass him another bottle of beer. Kaito does so with a scowl. “Yeah, like I haven’t been doing that all these times.”
Shinichi decides to give his cousin a little push. “You know, the first time I said it to Ran and she said it back, it easily became one of the most special nights I’ve ever spent with her. But then again, there were also fireworks because we so happened to be in Niagara Falls.”
Heiji face morphs into a scowl. “Yeah, yeah, like you haven’t hogged all the beautiful backdrops already.” But as quickly as his scowl comes, it leaves, his expression changes into a content one. “I remember mine too. It was an amazing night, followed by something even more amazing. Saying those three words can be a way to begin it. ‘Cuz that was also the first time Kazuha and I—”
“Dude,” Kaito narrows his eyes dangerously at him. He’d rather not hear the details, thank you very much.
Knowing that his sister has done it—and quite often too—has made him quite angry at first. Kazuha’s his little sister, and that gives him every right to keep tabs on her and control over what she should and shouldn’t be doing. But the girl is stubborn in every way. Like how he doesn’t approve of her choice of being a model, but she still chooses that path anyway. He’s proud of her all right, because she’s doing so well. She’s appeared in quite a lot of commercials and magazine covers, getting photoshoot offers here and there.
Not that he’s not proud of Aoko too. She’s rapidly climbing her way up the nurses rank in Todai Hospital, and it’s one of the best hospitals in the whole world. “At least none of us has to worry about alcohol poisoning,” Heiji once remarked, “We’ve got an actual living first-aid box with us.”
Kaito’s main concern only lies in the fact that there are many male nurses too in addition to the number of good-looking male doctors who might potentially steal Aoko’s heart away, who would’ve thought?
Speaking of the male population... he turns his attention back to the three familiar faces in the room. Shinichi is now the one leading the conversation, stern and oh-so-like the leader of their little gang. It’s just natural in their dynamic, he thinks.
Shinichi is their all prismatic and crystal-clear fluid, and Saguru is the solid rock, where Heiji is the unpredictable fire roaring all around them, where Kaito is the all-rushing wind above them.
Ten years ago, if someone had told him he would spend most of his time with a Criminology professor, an IT procurements manager with the specialization Statistical Analysis and Data Reconfiguration (it’s amazing how he remembers the exact name of Heiji’s job, seriously, all of them simply refers to him as a transponster)—both of whom highlight as criminal investigators together on the side—and a stuck-up lawyer from a fancy law school in England (Kudo and Hattori both have really boring jobs when they’re not out solving cases, but what Hakuba does is the literal definition of boring), he wouldn’t have believed it for himself.
But oh, look who he ends up hanging out with almost every single day now.
“Just say it, man. She’s been waiting for it.” someone says. It takes Kaito a second to realize he’s watched Saguru’s lips form the syllables, that the words were said in Saguru’s smooth voice.
Saguru smirks, the corner of his mouth curling up. Kaito’s not very sure through the haze of drunkenness, but he thinks he sees mischief and amusement very evident in the blonde’s face. He turns his head to regard Saguru with hard eyes and waits.
“She makes you happy and you make her happy, that’s all,” is what Saguru says next, and almost in sympathy.
Kaito is pretty sure that’s exactly what Shinichi and Heiji have been telling him to do just a moment ago. But it seems what Saguru says is the one that hits the nail, because Kaito’s face goes from nothing—no emotion, no expression—to fierce determination.
And then Kaito stands, grabs a cup of water, downs it in a go and walk out the door, leaving the three in utter dumbfoundedness.

a/n: In light of recent events involving Jimin and his health, I decided to write this oneshot.
“Teegan, I need you to come back home. Please.”
Jimin’s mom begged me, the crack in her voice giving away her state of distress. I immediately began to pack my things as soon as her plea reached my ear, dashing around my apartment, grabbing what clean clothes I could. It was a very rare occurrence for Park Jimin’s mom to contact me, period. Much less call, begging for me to come all the way from Seoul to Busan, without any explanation. This time, she didn’t need to explain.
The news had told me all I needed to know.
I knew what had been happening the past few days, I had seen it everywhere. There was no escaping the news stories, the fan theories and the official tweets from BigHit themselves. Park Jimin’s health was on the decline, and everyone saw it. They all saw him coming out of the airport, people helping him walk while he held his head, swaying back and forth. They saw him being surrounded as he tried to get into the bus, needing help every step of the way. They saw it all.
And that included his mother.
“I’ll be on the next available train, I promise. Don’t worry.” I reassured as I flipped my laptop open, quickly finding the website and booking the earliest departure.
“Thank you, Teegan.” she breathed out, relief washing over her words.
“I will be there by eleven tonight. I’ll see you then.” I swiftly ended the call, grabbed my now packed bag and ran out my front door, straight to the train station.
“I’m so glad you’re here, he’s upstairs. He hasn’t eaten since he got home. I don’t kno-” I wrapped Mrs. Park up in a hug, silencing her worried rambling. She instantly hugged me back, her small frame shaking as she began to sob. I let her cry out her worries, knowing I was one of the few people she trusted not to tell anyone about it.
“I’m so scared, Teegan. He nearly collapsed in Macau, they had to help him walk.” I rubbed her back gently, trying to soothe her as best I could. After a few moments, I pulled away, hands resting on her shoulders, my expression soft, reassuring.
“I want you to go to bed, it’s late and you need your rest. I’ve got it from here.” I informed her gently. She took my face in her hands, brought me down to her height and kissed my forehead lovingly. She was the only person in the world I would ever let show me that kind of affection, that wasn’t my own mother. She held a special place in my heart, and I hers.
“Thank you, Teegan.” with that, she walked away, leaving me alone at the foot of the stairs. I grabbed my backpack from the floor and quietly ascended the steps, making my way down the dark hallway. The door I was looking for was cracked slightly, the sound of absolute silence was deafening.
I carefully pushed it open, my eyes falling upon Jimin’s form, curled up in the fetal position in his childhood bed, facing the wall. Hearing the door shut, I watched his shoulders tense as I stepped towards him. Moving slowly, I set my things down, removed my shoes and socks, then made my way over. I lowered myself onto the bed, leg tucked up under me as I sat beside him. My fingers gently carded through his still damp, freshly washed blonde locks, feeling the soft tresses beneath them as he continued to face away from me.
After that gesture of comfort, he knew it was me.
“I’m sorry.” his voice was hoarse, like that of someone who had been crying for hours. A pang of sadness hit me, my heart aching for the man in front of me. The man who always thought he was never good enough, though he was beyond expectations, in my eyes. He always had been.
He was the boy I knew and loved as a child, the boy who always put family and friends before himself, who always had the highest expectations for his dancing, his singing and his appearance. That boy, who grew into the man who practiced the same, selfless, yet destructive habits. Everyone came before him, even at the expense of his own health. He wanted to be perfect, wanted to be handsome according to the standards set by the musical industry he played such a big part in. To me, he was all of those things. He had always been all of those things.
But, he couldn’t see that.
I crawled into his bed, putting myself in the space between him and the wall so he had to look at me. My fingers continued to run comfortingly through his tousled hair, his eyes closing at the feeling. His face had become thinner, his frame almost frail compared to the well muscled man I had seen only months prior, after coming home from Hawaii. I could feel my eyes pricking with tears, desperately trying to hold it in, because this wasn’t about me.
This was about him.
“Jimin, there’s no reason in this world for you to be sorry. If there is anyone who should be sorry, it’s us.” I whispered to him, pressing my forehead to his as his fingers reached out to cup my cheek.
“Why would you need to be sorry? You’re not the one disappointing millions of people every day.” I abruptly sat up, taking his hand and tugging him with me, his eyes wide in surprise. When I had him positioned so he was in front of me, both our legs crossed, knees touching on the full sized bed, I took his hallowed face into my hands. I let my thumbs brush his once puffy cheeks, eyes roaming his face, trying to find that boy I loved so much underneath the dark circles and now pale flesh.
“Park Jimin, I want you to listen closely. Can you do that for me?” he simply nodded, those chocolaty eyes filled with pain and sorrow, staring back at me. He wanted to feel wanted. No, needed, to feel wanted, and I was going to do that for him. After years of friendship, I always knew what it was that he needed when he felt down.
He needed to be praised. Worshipped.
“You know what I love about you, Jimin? I love the way your eyes crinkle when you smile, not that fake one I see when you’re trying to pretend your happy. No, the real thing, the one that changes your entire demeanor when it happens. That genuine smile that spreads across your lips when Hoseok compliments you, and tells you how wonderful you’ve done after a rehearsal. The one that shows up as you’re dancing on your own, only for you, and no one else.” a single tear slid down his face, the coolness hitting my finger as I watched his eyes flutter shut in embarrassment, long lashes brushing his cheeks.
“I love the way you laugh when Taehyung does something childish, in a attempt to make you feel better. That real, full, happy laugh that comes from deep within your chest. The one that makes everyone else in the room laugh with you, even if they have no idea why you’re laughing. I love that laugh, Jimin. I love it when you’re happy. We all love it when you’re happy.
I also love the way you dance. I love how every movement is so well thought out, calculated, perfected. Your body knowing how it’s supposed to move, respond, contort to the beat of whatever song you have on. To whatever you feel, in that moment. Every movement, precise, fluent, beautiful, perfect. I could get lost in the way you dance, for hours, Jimin. I really could. There is such beauty in the way you move, beauty that not everyone has.” Jimin’s arms wound around my waist, head resting in the crook of my neck, his breath tickling my sensitive skin.
“I wish you could see yourself the way that I see you. The beautiful, caring, selfless man, that I know…that I love.” I said quietly, placing my arms around his shoulders. He abruptly pulled away from me, grabbing my face, leaning in and placing his plump lips to mine. The kiss quickly became frantic, desperate and needy as his tongue stroked mine. He began falling backwards onto the mattress, bringing me down on top of him as his hands roamed under my t-shirt.
“I’ve missed you, Teegan.” he muttered, lips leaving a trail of lightning along my neck, making my spine tingle.
“I always miss you, Jimin.” I confessed, letting him remove the shirt from my torso, tossing it aside carelessly. My hands rested on either side of his head as I looked down at him, his smile shining brightly in the dark of the room as the soft pads of his fingers traced my exposed back.
“That’s the smile I love.” I brought my lips down to kiss the freckle above his brow, my favorite one to be exact. “I also love each and every one of your freckles.” I continued my path along his face, stopping at his lips. “I love your cupids bow and how it’s so subtle, due to the roundness of your soft, irresistible lips. I love the way you pout them when you’re concentrating, pushing them upward as you scrunch your nose.” I kept going down further, lips brushing along his collar bone, fingers beginning to work the buttons on his favorite black and red Saint Laurent shirt.
“I love the darkness of your skin in summer, the honey color it turns after you’ve spent time outside.” I could hear his breathing began to speed up, chest rising and falling rapidly, his digits intertwining into my hair as my mouth ran along his naked skin. I popped each button, one by one, exposing his beautiful body to my eager eyes.
“I love your body. Every single inch of it, is perfect, just the way it is.” I pushed open the shirt, relishing in the feeling of how hot to the touch he was already.
“Teegan…” he whined, making me smile into his chest as I edged towards his areola. My mouth ghosted over his already erect nipple, the contact making him jump, fingers tightening in my hair as I brought it between the petals of my lips. He let out a groan of pleasure as my tongue swirled around it, back arching off the bed slightly. I retreated sooner than he wanted me too, a growl of frustration sounding in my ears as I continued my downward descent. I planted a single kiss to his belly button, his eyes heavily lidded as he gazed down at me.
“I love your belly button, especially when the wind catches your shirt when you’re walking, outlining it as it’s taut against your stomach. I love your hips, and the deep v that is always there, no matter what your weight. My very favorite thing is when you’ve stopped focusing on having the “perfect” body, and you let yourself be happy, your tummy becoming soft and healthy. It’s beautiful either way, but that…that is truly my favorite thing.”
I informed him as I released the button on his jeans, unzipping the fly and pushing them down, along with his underwear from his hips. I carefully removed them both from his still muscular legs, depositing them to the floor. His length landed heavily against his lower abdomen, the sound causing his cheeks to flush in embarrassment. The tip was an angry red, the slit weeping with his sticky arousal.
“Come back, Teeg, I need you.” he pleaded, ignoring his embarrassment for the time being. Sitting up on his elbows, he watched me with lust filled eyes while I removed the rest of the clothing that was weighing me down. I shot him a reassuring smile, getting back on the bed, beginning to kiss my favorite part of him, his thighs. I could feel the muscles flexing under the touch of my fingers and lips, his body tensing in excitement.
“What do you want me to do, Jimin? This is all about you and what you want.” I let him know as ran my nails along his smooth legs, restraining myself from straddling one of his quads. His face went red again, eyes shifting away from my gaze as a pool of precum began to form on his stomach. Tucking his bottom lip between his teeth, he squeezed his eyes shut, inhaling deeply.
“I want you to–to ride my thigh until you cum, telling me how good it feels as you fall apart over top of me. Then I want you to ride my cock until I cum so hard, I forget how much I’ve disappointed everyone.” my eyebrows creased with sympathy, shaking my head at the lies he was choosing to believe while I took perch on one of his thighs. I braced my hands on his chest, beginning to rock my hips, spreading my essence along the surface of his skin, making it glisten. And then I stopped, eliciting a scowl and a frustrated curl of his upper lip from him.
“I won’t do any of that if I hear anymore self degrading words leaving your sinfully plump lips, Park Jimin. Got it?” he nodded quickly, bringing his hands to my hips to keep me where I was. I resumed my movements, my throbbing clit finally getting the friction I was so desperate for. He began flexing his leg muscles beneath me every time I ground against him, timing it with my movements perfectly. My breath started coming out in short burst, my body pulsing already as I stimulated myself against him.
“Jimin–keep doing that. You feel so amazing under me. I love the way your muscles harden against me, the friction it gives my aching core. You make me feel so good.” I panted, my fingers running through my hair, tugging slightly as my stomach tightened. I took a hand from my hair and wrapped it around his painfully hard cock, a gasp escaping his throat at the contact. I stroked him as I rotated my hips faster, sweat beading my forehead. His precum coated my fingers, making it easier to slide up and down his shaft as I moved.
“Teegan–fuck, keep going.” his eyes closed, those perfect lips parting as his breath came out in heavy puffs. The sight alone made me drip, my climax approaching faster than it should have been, considering the circumstances. As I felt the pressure build up, small whimpers began falling off my tongue, my focus faltering as I came closer and closer to my release. Jimin pulled my hand from his cock, situating it on my thigh as he held my waist.
“Come on, cum for me. Cum all over my thigh and tell me how much you love it while you do.” he demanded, dick twitching against his stomach as he spoke.
“I love it when you make me cum like this–no one can do it like you do. Fuck–Jimin!” I cried as quietly as possible, spilling myself all over his thick thigh, my hips sputtering as I came, his fingernails digging into my flesh harshly. He relaxed his muscles, letting me ride out my high without the extra intensity. I finally came down, eyes blurry from my intense orgasm as I locked on to his, which were clouded with lust and pride.
“Ride me, please. I need you.” he begged before gripping my neck and crushing his lips to mine, taking the breath I was struggling to regain away all over again. I positioned myself over his hips, the underside of his shaft resting between my slick folds.
“Are you still on your birth control, or do I need to get a condom from Jihyun?” he questioned as his fingers moved between us to rub against my still aching bud. My breath got caught in my throat at his touch, hand immediately grabbing his wrist to try and ground myself.
“N-no-I’m still on the pill. And I haven’t been with anyone but you since that last time you came home.” I told him as my head flew back in pleasure, his nimble fingers easily building me back up. He pulled them away suddenly, arms encircling my waist as he brought my chest to rest against his. His hands found their way to the supple flesh of my ass, kneading it roughly before lifting me up slightly.
“Good. Me either.” he thrust into me fast and hard, a loud moan I couldn’t control, falling from my lips as he filled me, stretching my walls around him. I pressed my forehead to his, fingers tangling into his messy hair, his arms wrapped firmly around my back, our lips colliding as we moved in perfect syn.
Sex had always come easy with Jimin. Naturally, to say the least. I knew his body better than anyone, and it was the same for him with me. We had been each other’s first for a lot of things, sex included. It seemed no matter how far apart we got from each other, we always wound up back here, a tangled mess of limbs between sheets. It had gotten to the point in my life, that I didn’t want anyone but Park Jimin, and believe me, I had plenty of other partners over the years. None of them ever compared to him. Not one.
We both became so busy in life, him being an idol and myself being an English translator for a large business, dating wasn’t something we could do with ease. Truthfully, I didn’t want to, not if it didn’t involve him. One day, we just came to the realization that, we were all we needed for each other. Though it was never set in stone that we couldn’t sleep with other people, neither of us did. It had been that way since he first debuted. He was enough for me, and I was enough for him. Plain and simple.
“Shit, you feel so amazing around me. I wish I could have you all the time.” he bit down on my bottom lip, tugging it between his teeth as he snapped his hips from underneath me. I matched his speed, feeling myself building back up all over again as he brushed my sweet spot repeatedly.
“I can’t even imagine anyone but you anymore, Jimin. No one has ever fucked me as good as you, and I don’t want anyone to even try.” I mewled into his lips, gripping his hair as he scratched his nails down my spine.
“You’re all I ever want. You make me feel so good physically, mentally, emotionally. You’re all I need, Teegan. I love you.” he whispered, dark eyes locking gazes with me, all the doubt that had been there earlier, now gone. I closed my eyes and smiled, heat spreading through my chest at his words of adoration. ‘I love you’ had never been something either of us had said during sex, and it immediately made my eyes well up with tears.
“I love you. Now, cum for me and make me feel good while you do it. You’re the only one who can, Park Jimin.” he smiled widely, his eyes crinkling. It sent my heart soaring as he kissed me passionately while pumping into me at a faster pace. I whined into his mouth, my second release threatening to ram into me again, walls clenching around him.
“Fuck-fuck, Jimin! Oh-God!” I buried my head between the slope of his neck and shoulder, sinking my teeth into the flesh there as I came hard on his length. Blackness enveloped the edges of my vision, my hearing becoming almost muffled as I cried out into his skin. He let out a deep, guttural moan, releasing his hot seed into me, drawing it out for as long as he could. I brought my mouth back to his, our tongues meeting instantly as we slowed our movements.
“Thank you for coming home.” his voice barely above a whisper as he thanked me, hands holding my face carefully after he had stilled us.
“You don’t need to thank me for doing what anyone who loves someone the way I do you, would do. Plus, it was your mom who called me.” I pointed out as I removed myself from him, then bent over and grabbed a tissue from the side of the bed. I carefully cleaned up the mess I had left on his thigh, and the one he created on his stomach in that process. I tossed that in the trash next to the bed, then got up and grabbed a shirt from his drawer.
“Hold on, stop.” Jimin directed as he sat up, stopping me from pulling the shirt on. He grabbed a tissue as he sat at the edge of his bed, taking my wrist and pulling me to him. A simple gesture, but one that made my heart race, none the less.
“You got some on you too.” he enlightened me as he quickly wiped the cum away, then threw the dirty tissue into the trash with the other one. He grabbed my hips and pulled me to him, kissing along my stomach slowly, lips dragging from one place to the next. I let out a relaxed sigh, running my hands along his narrow shoulders, taking in the view of the beautiful, naked man before me.
“I love you.” he said, feeling a wetness on my flesh as he rested his forehead against me, arms winding around my waist. Gently, I cupped his cheeks, pulling his face back as I looked down at him.
“I need you to love you, as much I love you, Jimin.” I pleaded, wiping away the tears that had traveled down his flushed, sweaty face.
“Because, in the end, if you don’t love you, you’ll never be able to love me the way you want to. I need you to love yourself, Jimin. I need you to take care of yourself, and stop thinking you’re not good enough, not perfect enough. You are all of those things and more. You are the stars in my sky, and not just mine. Your mother’s, your father’s, your brother’s, your bandmates and your fan’s. We all love you, but we need you to love yourself, too. Promise me you’ll do this, please.”
“I promise.”
He agreed, giving me a sincere smile as he released his hold on me, scooting back into the bed. I decided against the shirt and got under the covers next to him, holding my hand out, motioning for him lay on my chest. I wrapped my arms around him, tendrils running through his hair as he tangled our legs together and made himself comfortable against me. It didn’t take long for him to fall into a deep slumber, his breathing heavy, warm against the column of my neck.
Maybe this time, my words would sink in. Maybe he would learn that in order to be happy, he needed to realize, that he was enough. That he was perfect in every possible way, to his family, his fans and to me.
