Front split practice for flexible thighs
I mentioned in a previous post that I have trouble doing splits due to my thighs being quite stiff. There I went over practice stretches for doing middle splits. Here are the practice stretches I found on Pinterest for front splits:
Some of these look hard.
4 and 5 don't look very clear in the diagram so I found these pics from Google with better quality:
I can't wait to be able to do these so I can get flexible thighs. My next goal is to find workouts that help me build my upper body strength as I am a bit weak there.
One of my goals for 2020 was to nail the splits by summer so I started stretching every day for the past 1.5ish months and this is the result!!! Not a full split yet but it blows my mind how much progress I’ve made.
Consistency is key! Every night I made sure to stretch for 30-45 minutes. On days where I’m feeling super lazy, I made sure to at least stretch for 5-10 minutes, every bit counts
I may have to concede defeat where my right leg is concerned, at least until I see a sports physio. The left is in good working order, though, and manages front splits just fine! Not far till I hit the floor!
Flexibility journey
This is the progress I’ve made between January and May on my right front splits !
Unfortunately I haven’t found pictures from the very beginning of my journey but believe me, I’ve came a long way !
