Frontstuck : when a headmate is fronting and, suddenly or not, becomes unable to leave front.
It has been 2 weeks since the rapture [I got front stuck] the rest of the world is abandoned and quiet [I can’t hear my head mates] I fear I shall not survive this harsh climate alone as the sickness sets in [I’m not built for being alone, please come back and hold my hand I am not being a brave boy about it]
chat is there like. research on being frontstuck? is it a shared experience weve defined in community or is it like A Thing, cuz if it is i wanna read about it. i wanna know why it happens and what situations can trigger it, and what can help.
I'm a permafronting host and I honestly hate it. Not only do I Not Wanna Be Here 24/7, but multiple headmates wanna front. The closest they've come to fronting is being co-con, which is nice, but not quite fronting.
I also don't always feel like I'm a "real" plural because I'm the only fronter. Not to mention that I feel like I'm missing a lot of the "quintessential" plural experiences that involve fronting.
I think there are ways to induce fronting but honestly I don't always have time to try them
.
I am not sure this is too unique. Hello, we are a median system, with a frontstuck host save for layering.
Our "uniqueness" is that I am technically also co-frontstuck as a co-host. We have never really heard of this phenomenon before– yes, we have heard of bonded pairs, but I've never heard of a case of both front and co-front having someone permanently stuck and unable to leave (even if there is a third or more alter fronting, we are still conscious and able to take over within a split second). To be completely honest, the host and I also do not delve into plural spaces much, but a lot of our mutuals are also plural, and do not really experience what we do.
I thought I would just share this here as it's something I thought about as I've seen this blog the past few days. I hope you don't mind that we are not anonymous because we don't care for anonymity.

You're right, I haven't heard of co-hosts getting frontstuck. I also don't remember if I as a co-host have ever gotten frontstuck, but we generally don't control the front anyways.
Maybe it's an overlooked experience?? It sounds like an experience others have dealt with before.
