Tuttiest Fruitiest Bars are a delectable blend of dried fruits, candied cherries, pineapple, citrus peel, white chocolate chips, and nuts nestled in a buttery, chewy bar. Fruity flavors abound in these bars, which are ideal for snacking or sharing with friends and family.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup assorted dried fruits e.g., cranberries, apricots, raisins, finely chopped. 1/2 cup chopped candied cherries. 1/2 cup chopped candied pineapple. 1/2 cup chopped candied citrus peel. 1 cup white chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, pecans.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving a little extra on the edges to make it easy to take off. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Add the different kinds of dried fruits, chopped candied pineapple, chopped candied cherries, chopped candied citrus peel, white chocolate chips, and chopped nuts. Press the dough into the baking pan so that it's spread out evenly. After the oven is hot, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. After taking the bars out of the oven, let them cool all the way down on a wire rack in the pan. After the bars have cooled, use the extra parchment paper to lift them out of the pan. Cut it into bars or squares after putting it on a cutting board. Serve and have fun!
