This weekend we held our annual Baikasai - plum blossom viewing and tea ceremony event, seen here performed by geiko Umeyakko and maiko Fukuyo
We celebrated Setsubun in Miyajimacho: the beginning of spring - at Hoto Tenman-gu shrine, maiko Fukuyo performed Hime sanja for the audience, and geiko got dressed up in costumes and threw lucky beans from the stage! Geiko Umeyakko and Ayatsuki dressed in schoolgirl costumes and geiko Umeyuki dressed in a pikachu costume. Bad luck out, good luck in!
