Fusilli Pasta with Ragu Sauce and Shredded Cheese Recipe
Indulge in a hearty and flavorful pasta dish featuring fusilli pasta tossed with earthy wild mushrooms, crispy bacon, and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients: 300g fusilli pasta. 200g wild mushrooms, sliced such as porcini, chanterelles, or shiitake. 150g bacon, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 small onion, finely chopped. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish.
Instructions: Cook fusilli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet. In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add minced garlic and chopped onion. Saut until softened and fragrant. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and become tender. Return the cooked bacon to the skillet. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened. Add cooked fusilli pasta to the skillet with the mushroom and bacon mixture. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss again to combine. Serve the Fusilli with Wild Mushrooms and Bacon hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy your flavorful and comforting pasta dish!

It's going gluten free I've had a transition from weak base products to other kinds of plant-based products. Today we had Jovial Foods brown rice pasta. For the pesto sauce I use baby spinach baby kale and swiss chard. Blended it up with nutritional yeast garlic salt pepper and olive oil. When the pasta was done cooking I dumped a pesto sauce in.
