The Mandatory Face-Mask is an Issue for Non-Neurotypicals

People who have:

Sensory Processing Disorder

ADHD / ADD

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Already have a lot of issues when it comes to wearing masks when they’re working at their job or when they have errands to do in town. But to wear a mask at all times when it is NOT required is 100% impossible. I can barely wear one at my job longer than 6 1/2 hours when I’m working in hot areas that make it very easy to get a heat stroke. Sweating nonstop as I become overheated with the mask covering my nose and mouth is a very real problem I have to deal with.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ADHD. I have very bad panic attacks I can’t control when I’m over stimulated. I have a very REAL problem with wearing a mask when I’m not FUCKING SICK.

I’m getting my doctor to give me a card I’ll be bringing with me everywhere as proof I have these disabilities which make it harder for me to wear a mask without risking my mental health.

While you’re fighting for equality out there, don’t forget about us who aren’t neurotypical that have to deal with ignorant people who don’t understand how mental health works.
